If I'm solely going for a hot spring experience, I'd definitely choose this place again; the water quality is excellent. The breakfast offers a good variety, and the taste is decent. It's a bit far from the city center, but a 100 RMB taxi ride usually covers most dining spots.
I booked a full board package. The location is conveniently located near to the Hell valley tourist spots. Pick up from the Beppu station was punctual and drop off after check out to station makes travel relaxing. Room was extremely spacious and environment was tranquil. Food was good, both dinner and breakfast. Facilities were also great!
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beppu! The views are absolutely stunning, with rooms nestled halfway up the mountain offering panoramic sea and cityscapes. Having an open-air bath right in the room, where you can soak while enjoying the scenery, is incredibly relaxing.
The hotel is within walking distance of several 'hell' attractions, which is super convenient. If you're heading...
The room was incredibly spacious, with clearly defined areas including both Western and Japanese-style living rooms. Plus, it came with its own small indoor and outdoor hot spring baths!
We opted for Japanese cuisine for both breakfast and dinner, and it was absolutely fantastic—so rich, delicious, and nutritious. It truly exceeded our expectations!
I genuinely enjoyed most of my stay at this hotel and was quite happy with the trip—until the moment I checked out. The customer service I received at the front desk was shockingly poor and completely overshadowed what had otherwise been a pleasant visit.
When settling the bill, I asked the lady at the desk if I could pay by scanning a QR code. She placed a PayPay QR code in front of me. I then politely...
The hotel is conveniently located right next to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell). We booked half board, and the teppanyaki wagyu dinner was delicious. Both the Japanese and Western breakfast options were good. The hot springs were also very relaxing. My family all felt it offered great value for money.

I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room in the main building for two nights and one night, with two meals included.
The front desk was spacious, quiet, and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were courteous and helpful.
There were two elevators, which I think was sufficient given the number of rooms, but they rarely arrived, suggesting they were older.
The room was generally clean. The bath, toilet...
Hei Kumamoto luxury room is worth recommending👍
The hotel has two buildings. The Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats are in the annex, but they are connected by an indoor corridor. The dinner set menu is enough to fill you up, and there are also a variety of dishes. The breakfast is ordinary, but you can still eat healthy prototype food
Spacious and traditional hotel.
The hotel had a great atmosphere and was very nice. The breakfast menu was the same for two days, which was a bit disappointing, and the convenience store closed early, which was a bit inconvenient.
Quite cozy hotel, I booked the Japanese room and it was very warm and comfortable. The only downside is they don’t allow tattoos in the onsen, even if you are a foreigner, hope this prejudice in Japan will vanish soon.
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
I go there a few times a year.
The family bath is hot and narrow,
and the toilet and shower in the room are always difficult to use. The foreigners speak broken Japanese, so it's hard to understand. Last time, the izakaya was staffed by foreigners, which was a challenge, but this time, it was staffed by Japanese people, which was nice.
I wish they would change the mugs of draft beer for the all-you...
The room was OK, but I smelled cigarettes when I entered. Although it was a non-smoking room, it still smelled like cigarettes. Check-in was quick, and there was a hot spring that could be reserved. There was also a small balcony outside. The small room had everything you need. The toilet was very small, only big enough for one person to stand, and there was a smell from somewhere. The toilet was a...
The hotel is very close to the station, a 5-minute walk
The hotel is a hot spring bath, so there are three types: large bath, parent-child bath and open-air bath.
The hotel room is about the same size as in Japan, but has basic facilities.
The hotel also operates an izakaya
There is a large supermarket within a 3-minute walk of the hotel.
There are also chain fast food restaurants
The front desk service is very polite and patient. You can make reservations for private outdoor hot springs and indoor hot springs. Each reservation is 1 hour. You can also go to the large bath to soak in the hot springs. There is parking space for free.
It's too old, but the price is extremely cheap and the transportation is convenient enough. Why do you need a bicycle?
This hotel is a 20-minute taxi ride from Kagoshima Airport. The room comes with a private bath, and the dinner and breakfast are amazing, with different meals every night.
The rooms at this hotel are large and have great views. The open-air bath is especially nice, right next to the stream. The food is exquisite. My favorite is the foot bath, the view is stunning. Although Kyushu's hot springs are generally located in valleys with streams, this hotel still stands out for its scenery.
A super perfect experience, friendly service, perfect meals, unbeatable views, an unforgettable journey, especially the service from ********* people at the counter!
I have already planned my next visit! It's great!
The service is very good, the staff can speak both Chinese and English, the room is also very good, unexpectedly large, the food is also good, with spring ingredients, the hot spring is also very good, and the scenery is also very good when you walk around.
The hotel room and food is one of the best! would highly recommend staying!
The room is very clean and tidy, the service is very thoughtful and meticulous, the scenery is pleasant, the hot spring is also very good, and there is a private hot spring

Good:
Nice and spacious room, free parking good for us to drive around, powerful shower head which served strong stream and stable temperature for nice shower, big beds, convenient shops, food and big AEON store nearby with driving distance 5 mins, nice night lounge with free flow crafted beer, popcorn, and bbq marshmallow, my daughter requested to go every night
But if you’re not coming with a car...
This has to be the best hotel in Fukuoka ! The room is super spacious and beautiful. Love their in room breakfast. The view was breathtaking. They do provide lounge are as complimentary every night from 8p.m-11p.m too and it's free flow alcohol and snacks. The front desk are helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we visit Fukuoka.
Very spacious room, nice lounge with free drinks in the afternoon and evening, lots of different alcohol to try out. There are small snacks in the evening and self made udon at 22:00.
Free parking and paid onsen nearby. The staffs are all super nice and helpful, we feel very comfortable staying there.
The location is deserted but free shuttle buses are available.

I used this hotel on a business trip to Kirishima. Since it was last minute, most hotels were fully booked, but I was able to stay at a hotel with dinner at a buffet. The hotel seemed to be mainly for group guests, and the lobby was crowded with them coming one after another during the waiting time. Although it is...
When we arrived, I was surprised at how old the building was.. the inside decor is old fashioned and the whole place needs a new make over urgently.
The room smelt of smoke but was advertised as non smoking. ( It could be the old carpets )
Most of the staff were polite, but some were a little grumpy. Onsen was not the best, but not the worst either. Evening meal was the only saving grace. Plenty of...
White lighting scheme inside guest room like that in funeral. WiFi reception was bad. Toitet was too small. Food, however, was good. Scene view was excellent too.
Good price accommodation for Kirishima. Onsen bath is not bad too.

This is my second time staying at Oriental Hills.
I chose Oriental Hills again because my last stay was so wonderful. I had a truly wonderful time again, and the hospitality of the staff in particular was as excellent as ever. My partner was also very happy, and it was a truly relaxing and happy time.

It was very good. I'm looking forward to the next time.
This was my first time staying here. The hospitality was excellent, and the private pool in my room is said to be one of the largest in Japan, so I was able to relax and unwind. However, because it was the rainy season, there were a horde of winged ants... The path to dinner was covered in ants, and when I returned to my room after dinner, I was surprised to see so many dead ants floating in the private...
Not up to the expectation, especially not worth the price ive paid for. Also, if you hate bugs, dont go.

The hotel is wonderful, new, large, on a small hill from which you can enjoy a dream sea view. Many services available. But the real surprise is the staff. Not bad. The room is newly renovated and clean, with a free onsen. Just forget about the pool and jacuzzi. It’s difficult to communicate with the front desk though.
There's a multi-story car park right next to the hotel entrance, but the front desk asked us to park elsewhere initially. It wasn't until a local guest spoke to the staff that they finally directed us to the paid multi-story parking. We weren't even allowed to stop briefly at the entrance. The next day, when we checked out, I saw the entrance was full of cars.
Luggage Storage, clean, decent size, self-service pillows
Not much to do around the area at night though, but that's Nago for you.
Great location almost close to most of the places of interest eateries and shopping areas. Hotel staff was helpful assisting tower car parking and pick up. Hotel room very well equipped with all essential Power Point for chargers. Spacious and comfortable bathroom.
Has sea views and a large public bath inside the hotel! The environment is quiet and pleasant! Parking for self-driving cars costs ¥1000 per day.
Great location in central Nago. The amenities were top notch! They even provided extra pillows and bathrobes on every floor. Rooms were spacious and the beds were super comfy!

The stay was great. Our only complaint was that the AC unit in our room broke the 2nd night which made it hard to sleep.
We were arriving late and leaving early so we opted out of dinner and breakfast, although they look amazing in the photos. The room and bathroom are a bit outdated but the room is a good size. Friendly staff, quiet hotel environment, comfortable hot springs, and a variety of free drinks and snacks in the rest area
Very friendly staff and many rooms with nice sea view. Free shuttle service to JR station.
Great location but breakfast spread was disappointing for S$25. Everything else was good at the hotel.
The room condition, kaiseki, and breakfast were all comfortable and enjoyable!! The shuttle bus seems to be assigned once an hour and I think you need to make a reservation in advance! I think it would be better if there were a little more Korean guidance!
It was located further out of the Ibusuki hot spring area than I thought, but if you time it right, it was a 5-minute bus ride or taxi ride from the station, so it wasn't too inconvenient. The guest room was spacious and spacious enough for a single person. The large bath and breakfast restaurant were well-equipped, and the breakfast menu had a variety of menus and was delicious.
A very cost-effective experience. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the breakfast is great! The hotel's hot springs and services are very good. The key is that it is not far from the station. But now it is off-season and the whole town is deserted.
The welcome drink, mini concert, and location were all great.

We left our trash and dirty towel outside, they don’t replace with new trash bag or put new towels in bag n hang outside door. So hv to collect from reception personally
When I booked, it only showed the room, not that it was in an annex building. We ended up being placed in the building next door, which had much simpler facilities and was significantly smaller. The hotel room is a little small and bed is soft but overall still quite good for location and front desk service.
It's a bit of a walk from the station, and dragging luggage was a bit tough. A taxi costs around 850 yen. However, transportation in Miyazaki is quite inconvenient; you need to book a taxi in advance to get back to the station from the hotel, as it's hard to hail one from the street. Other than that, everything else was good, and breakfast was included.
Absolutely love the roof top pool and onsen at the next building. Love the view. Will stay again because of it. Near to station as well.
This hotel offers incredible value for money – it's so good, I almost want to keep it a secret!
However, I've seen a negative review claiming someone couldn't get back into the hotel at night, and I want to clarify that. That person's review is completely baseless. Especially grateful to Mr Inoue, who was a great help in sorting out my booking issue. Great hospitality!
The service was great, but the facilities were lacking. The food was terrible; the kaiseki dinner was a 1-star at best. As a retiree who travels to Japan monthly, this was the worst food I've ever had at a Japanese hotel. Even the onsen wasn't as fantastic as people claim. However, Unzen is a lovely town with a charming rustic feel.
The dinner was well-seasoned, well-balanced, and plentiful, so I was very satisfied. It had been a while since I'd last enjoyed the hot springs, and they were as great as the reviews said.
The hot springs are fantastic, and the hotel is truly excellent value for money. The only downside is its location on the outskirts of town. However, if you're here for relaxation, you won't need to leave often, so this is truly the best ryokan.
It was my first time at Unzen Onsen! It's a little far from Unzen Jigoku, but it was a lovely inn surrounded by greenery.
