Kyushu, Fukuoka, 5-14-5 Watanabedo-ri Chuo 🧭 Map
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
This hotel is conveniently located near Exit 1 of Tenjin-Minami Station on the Nanakuma Line, just a 3-5 minute walk across the street from Daimaru department store. If you're coming from Fukuoka Airport by public transport, you'll need to take the shuttle bus from the international terminal to the domestic terminal, then switch to the Kuko Line subway to Hakata, and finally transfer to the Nanakuma...
Surrounded by Koreans, the hotel boasts an excellent location with many unique restaurants nearby. There are also Fukuoka's famous 'yatai' (food stalls) right outside the hotel on the street, though unfortunately, there's always a wait whenever I try to go.
Excellent stay! The environment, hygiene, and breakfast were all superb. I especially enjoyed the hot springs; they were incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Fukuoka. It's also very convenient for getting around. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.
The location is convenient, close to malls. Staff are nice and helpful.
However, the room is quite dirty especially in the toilet. Got yellow dirts and insect climbed up behind the sink. It is also smelly - with strong urine smell.
Washing and drying machines are dirty too. I would not dare to use them again.
Personally I would not recommend staying here again.
The room was as small as usual, but the location was great. The rooftop bath area was decent, a standard amenity, and quite clean, attracting many bathers. I didn't take any pictures, please excuse me. I could walk to a tsukemen restaurant nearby, and it was super delicious.
Great location and a decent breakfast, but the cleanliness, especially the strange odor in the bathroom, definitely has a lot of room for improvement.

Very convenient location in Chinatown. Parking just around the corner, very decent pricing when you get the voucher from reception at checkout. Nice onsen on the roof with outdoor baisin
The hotel environment is great and the location is excellent. It was just during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit hard to find parking. The hot springs were really relaxing, though. I'll definitely come back next time.
I particularly liked the sky spa which was clean and gave me a sense of relaxation after a day of sightseeing.
The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It’s on a quiet pedestrian street just two minutes from Chinatown, and there are tons of great restaurants and cafes nearby. Staff is very supportive. The only downside? The elevators are slow - be prepared to wait a while.
Nice hotel with a strategic place and room so clean and near to city
We are coming with family occupied two rooms. Front office staff are very nice and arrange us on the same floor. The rooms are big enough to open two large suitcases. The double bed is so huge that can sleep three people. The only complaint is the car park arrangement, this information need to post in the website for us to aware in advance as the carpark is not on the same building and there is no...

Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
The location is excellent, only a 5-10 minute walk to Hakata JR Station, and it's easy to find places to eat nearby.
Facilities: Pretty good.
Hygiene: Very good, very clean.
Environment: Great, with a natural hot spring bath.
Service: The staff are also very enthusiastic.
Weekend accommodation in Fukuoka can be quite expensive, so this hotel offers great value for money. Although the room isn't huge, it's perfectly adequate for two people and has all the necessary amenities.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station and is surrounded by several convenience stores. It's also very close to the famous Dacommeca bakery.
The front desk is on the second floor...
Yaoji hotel is very convenient to walk to Hakata station. The natural hot spring is very nice ; is spacious to cope with big crowds. Will definitely stay this hotel again.
The room has this moldy smell to it, luckily I can open the window but unfortunately on that two days I was staying here, weather been really sunny and there’s barely any cold winds, plus there’s no aircond in the room?? Hotel has vintage feels to it, if you dig that. Room’s spacious no doubt, price was very affordable for weekend in Fukuoka city! There’s also natural hot spring that I did not utilise
Comfortable stay and strategic location (walkable distance to bus / transportation hub).
The space in the queen room was decent, fitting two suitcases comfortably. The hotel's location is excellent; there's a bus stop just a few dozen meters away, and Hakata Station is a short walk further. The staff were friendly, though their English might be a bit limited as they used a translator.

Kyushu, Miyako Island, 926-25 Ueno Shimori 🧭 Map
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
This luxury resort is located on the southern coast of Miyako Island. Staying on Fridays costs around $13,000 per night. The resort itself is very large, with regular shuttle buses running throughout the day and night. The hotel also provides tuk-tuks and golf carts during the day. For those with deep pockets, you can book a villa room with a pool. 😎 Our room was 55 square meters, with a living room...
The staff's attitude and service were very good.
I had a great time during my trip.
However, although there is a laundry facility, there are only three machines per building, so during busy periods it gets very crowded with people wanting to use the laundry, and people who don't follow the rules often cut in line, which can be unpleasant. If there were more machines, it would be much easier for people...
Miyako Island is divided into north and south. Shiriga is located in the south of the island, facing the South Pacific. It is a suite hotel with a private pool in a resort with 7 or 8 hotels scattered around.
Basically, you can only visit the resort nearby. If you want to go to the more prosperous north, you need to rent a car or Didi, which is very expensive. It is so expensive that I think I am crazy...
I stayed in a jacuzzi room for the second year in a row.
The breakfast was amazing.
I look forward to it every morning.
I mainly eat Japanese food.
The juicy rice is exceptional.
I can't get enough of it.
This year the timing wasn't right and I didn't get to try the cheese risotto.
I'm looking forward to next year as well, this paradise spot surrounded by Miyakojima's natural beauty.
The facilities and service were very good. I booked a pool villa on the first day, and sent an email to the hotel in advance to ask if the pool villa's water was hot water since the weather during my visit was around 20 degrees. I received a reply email saying that it was standard temperature, so I thought it was to maintain a constant temperature, but it did not provide hot water, and the water temperature...
Miyako Island is so beautiful. The hotel is close to the east side of the island, connected to a large hotel villa area. There are circular buses connecting various places, which can basically meet various needs. The hotel service is good and responsive.

This is a high-quality business hotel in the Yatsushiro area. The rooms are simple yet well-equipped, and disposable toiletries are available in the lobby for guests to use as needed. The large public bath is a fantastic feature, making it ideal for business travelers. The price is also very reasonable. If you choose the eco plan, you can get a complimentary vending machine drink or alcoholic beverage...
The reception staff were very helpful. There was only one washing machine in the women's bath, so we had to wait quite a while for our turn to do our laundry. However, it was helpful to have a washing machine.
I stayed for two nights, but I only received one breakfast voucher at check-in, so I had to ask for one at the front desk.
My sister came from Tokyo and stayed for three nights, but she also only received two at check-in, so she had to ask for one.
Everything else was good.
The environment is quiet, and although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are well-preserved.
The large public bath is great for soaking in, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing.
The location is in the city center, a bit far from the JR station, but there are city buses. If you take a taxi to Shin-Yatsushiro Station to transfer to the Shinkansen to Kumamoto, the taxi ride takes about 15 minutes...
It was a hotel for resting while traveling. It was just so-so. The power kept going out due to a bad contact in the key slot.
Checked into a twin room on December 18, 2024. The room was really spacious and comfortable!
The large public bath is on the first floor. The slippers are open-style, so be careful not to bring your own and have them mistakenly worn! 😝 Free coffee is available!

Staff were nice and friendly. All of them were helpful.
The public bath was great. Location is good with around 5min walking distance from the train station. There is a big mall nearby for shopping and dinning too. The only bad thing is that the room is a bit small and can barely open a 28inch luggage.
Located conveniently between Mitsukoshi Department Store and DFS, it's super easy to get anywhere from here. A taxi from the airport costs around 100 RMB. Check-in is on the second floor, and complimentary coffee is available daily. The hot bath facility on the thirteenth floor is open until 1 AM. Stayed for two days with two kids. The location was excellent! Right across the street from a mall that's open until 10 PM and a supermarket until 11 PM – super convenient. Museums and art galleries are also just a short walk away. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best part was the large public bath – it was wonderfully relaxing!
Location is pretty good, close to subway station and big super markets. Room size is standard tiny Japanese style but overall good.
Simple and clean, but insufficient car parking spaces inside hotel, we parks the car in the car park with 5 min walk away.
Breakfast is great!
Location: Excellent! Just 400 meters from the Naha Kūkō Station west exit. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and the amazing SAN-A mall is next door. Okinawa DFS is also directly behind the hotel.

Tiny room with an old and very small Queensize (??) bed. Everything seems to be really old, so does the dust in the corners of the room or of the ventilation in the bathroom.
Service was okay... we could convince them to leave our bicycles outside the hotel entrance (no way to leave them at the "luggage storage" inside the lobby).
Drinks like coffee, hot chocolate, tea and soft drinks are for free...
Stay one night here. Hotel next to the station, offers free parking and public bath.
great service, with SPA, and coffee
The hotel was very basic and had everything we needed. Close to the train station and near restaurants you can't go too wrong. The only issue was the strong bleach smell we first encountered when we entered the room, and the walls were super thin. We could hear our neighbor coughing and snoring.
Amazing stay, very friendly staff, perfect located and well equipped. I’d stay here another time for sure. And they welcome you with a free cup of coffee, too!

Convenient location for restaurants and shops bus stop to station or to visit Aoshima and Nichinan Coast. Dormy is a reliable chain offering good service for reasonable price.
The location is central. Their food recommendation was amazing and so was the breakfast. Everything was good.

This is my second time staying at the hotel. Because the location is super convenient. Very near to Oita Station.
Same as other Dormy Inn, there is free noodles at night. I didn't have chance to try their noodles. Because there are so many good foods at Oita / Beppu.
The location is fantastic, right next to the JR station and the bus terminal. I've stayed at this hotel chain before in Hokkaido, and they consistently offer complimentary late-night noodles from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The hotel also has its own hot spring on the top floor and even provides various flavored ice creams, which the kids absolutely loved. The room was quite spacious with a great wet/dry...
Conveniently located about 100 meters from Oita Station exit, making it quick and easy to get to. The hotel, as always, was very comfortable and the hot springs were fantastic. However, the breakfast seemed not as good as other Dormy Inn locations. Overall, still recommended.
I've stayed at Dormy Inn in many places across Japan, and this one in Oita felt just like home. The natural hot spring is their signature feature, and soaking in the outdoor onsen on the top floor with the autumn breeze at night just washes away all the fatigue from a day of travel. They also offer free ramen and popsicles in the evening. Their breakfast is pretty good too, with local specialties from...
This hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Oita Station, to the left after exiting. It's also very close to Beppu. Its one of the better budget hotels I've gotten, decent room, good service and ok facilities. Would be good if there was coffee/tea available throughout the day rather than a few hours at a time, there's also no water cooler. No issues with the room, quite spacious for the price.
The hotel is situated conveniently in kokura. Best parking is the right besides the hotel at 700 yen per night. Walking distance to Tanga market and Lopia.
This is an older hotel, but it's very well-maintained. The breakfast, public bath, and location are all excellent. I would highly recommend it, even for solo travelers.
The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Kokura Station, which is manageable even with luggage. While it's an older building with somewhat dated facilities, the cleanliness is impeccable, typical of Japanese hotels. It seems to offer good value for money. The breakfast was also enjoyable, even for Korean guests.
Excellent value for money. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained and quite comprehensive, even boasting a spacious public bath. The hotel staff had great service, the location was easy to find and close to Kokusai Street. Soaking in the onsen was very relaxing, and the salt sauna was absolutely superb. If you're looking for an onsen experience in Okinawa, this is the place to go! 👍🏻
This hotel is conveniently located, well-equipped, and offers excellent value. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the onsen is relaxing and refreshing. The staff is attentive and friendly, making it a great choice for families and groups. Even if the front desk staff doesn't speak English, be aware of this.
Located close to Kokusai Street and with plenty of cheap drinking establishments, this hotel is perfect for business travelers, tourists, and solo travelers. There's also a hot spring♨️ to help you unwind after a long day of travel.
Clean and polite, very good location. There are many restaurants around the hotel, and the Kokusai-dori shopping street is about 100 meters away.
The room was great, I've stayed there before and it's been updated a lot this time, all the facilities are great value for money. The small disadvantage is that the bathing place is always crowded and closes too early. I chose it just for the bathing place but couldn't enjoy it because it was too crowded. A bit of a pity
Don't expect the front desk to know any English, bring your own translator. The room is equipped with air conditioning and an air purifier, but the air outlet of the air conditioner blows towards the head. Although the room is equipped with a stove, no cooking utensils are provided. The overall hotel experience is OK, you get what you pay for, and it's very close to Kokusai-dori on foot.

The hotel is great, not far from the airport, and the breakfast is excellent. It offers good value for money, so I highly recommend it. While the room isn't huge, it's very clean and perfect for solo travelers.
The hotel is located near the Kagoshima Shiroyama Observatory, and the environment is quite pleasant. The room was on the smaller side, especially the shower area, which was the smallest I've encountered on this trip – I kept bumping my head and back while showering. There's a shuttle van service between the parking lot and the hotel, and breakfast was very hearty.
I booked a room with a view of Sakurajima, and it was like a painting; I could see the volcano and sunrise just by opening the curtains. The hot spring bath area was quite large overall, but the outdoor section felt a bit small. Breakfast was very crowded, with many locals staying there. The service in general was friendly and flexible, and the shuttle bus was very convenient.

Improve
- the food options at the pool bar are bit limited
The view and the room were great!
The only time I rented a cart was when I went to the beach.
The bath was only a 3-minute walk from the room, so I was able to move around the premises without renting one.
There was a shuttle bus to the beach, and a shuttle to the izakaya.
Some activities were fully booked, and some days they couldn't be held, so my plans were ruined.
I wish they would increase...
The room is large and comfortable, with a big Sony TV. Outside the French window is a lawn + sea view, but it's a pity that the view is not as good as upstairs because I live downstairs, otherwise the view of the sea would be wider.
The room is spacious and there are many animals, including sheep, ducks, peacocks, and cows. The beach and the large bathing area with a panoramic view are the soul of this place, which is really beautiful.
If you have time and want to stay for a few more days, just lie down here.
There are three hotels on Kohama Island, two in the south and one in the north. This historic resort is adjacent to Hoshino, and it is very convenient to play golf at the Hoshino Golf Club, the westernmost and southernmost point of Japan. The hotel covers a huge area, with dense greenery and complete facilities. You can bathe in the large bathhouse to watch the sunset, and play in the water and watch...

Nice hotel easy to transport great welcoming
Experience was great. Breakfast is awesome. Onsen is fabulous. Location is unbeatable. Only complaint is a lost key will be charged 1100yen. Never had a hotel charge for lost key before.

Small room but very practical. The service is good and the location is great, walking distance from everywhere.
