Sumptuous buffet in live kitchen- Dated hotel - however budget wise plus buffet dinner and breakfast is great. Many 3-generations families here because it is year end holiday. Make it such a Vibrant atmosphere. Our boys are grown up!
This is a gem of high end stays in the Sasebo area. 5 star dining and accomodations. I've visited multiple times over the years including getting married on premises 16 years ago. Really is a nice hotel.
Paid 9,900 yen per head for a superior twin room with breakfast. The room we stayed was a bit aged, mattress was on the hard side and the fridge was a bit noisy. For the breakfast, bread was delicious, the rest were ok-ish. Very large carpark and convenient parking.

The ambiance was excellent, and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The service was impeccable; an hour before heading to the airport, I realized I'd left my phone in a taxi, and the hotel manager immediately checked the security footage and contacted the driver to return it (I even gave the driver a thank-you fee). I was extremely grateful! I would definitely stay here again next time. If...
The environment is beautiful, but the location is remote, so driving is the best option. The staff provided excellent service. The breakfast was semi-buffet style; I wish there were more options. I would consider staying here again next time.
I think choosing this hotel on Miyakojima for my honeymoon was the best choice :) The facilities, programs, and view were all perfect, and I was happy every time I opened my eyes. The room cleaning service and other programs held daily by the hotel itself, such as yoga, bath salt making, and sunset delight (champagne and cocktails provided), are attractive points that make you not bored if you have...
Everything was perfect... except there was only one restaurant on site... If you have a car, Miyakojima is not about location.
It's the best for families to come and play. It would be better if you prepare thoroughly before going. Breakfast. Western and Japanese food. Both are great. If you go to the nearby beach. It's the best compared to other places. Showers always cost 100 yen. The downside is that there's only one convenience store. Nearby restaurants close too early or you have to make a reservation. Other than that...
The explanations given by the reception staff were hard to understand. It was hard to hear. The facility was nice, but it didn't feel as special as you'd expect for the price.

The hotel is conveniently located near Oita Station. The room was small but clean, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I'll definitely stay here again if I visit Japan again.
The hotel is old but well-maintained. The only downside is that there is only one elevator, so it takes a long time to get down.
It was relatively close to the station and easy to get to. The room was well-cleaned and it was nice and quiet. The breakfast had a good variety of items and was enough for a normal meal. The price was reasonable, so I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.
It's close to the station and has many restaurants, making it a convenient place to stay.
It's conveniently located in front of the station, and the front desk staff were friendly and I was able to use it comfortably. However, it's a little old and there is no large public bath, which was disappointing.
There is a large public bath, and I was able to use it in the morning, which was very pleasant. The breakfast selection is also substantial for the price, so I think it's a good deal!

It's close to Kokusai Street, so you can go shopping directly, and it's also near Makishi Station.
The hotel room is very spacious and the hotel highly recommended for location
Comfortable. Breakfast options are limited, but excellent. The location is surprisingly good. Get off the monorail and head towards Loiwa Hotel. There's a large supermarket, and the hotel is located not far from it. It's within walking distance of Kokusai Street. I arrived a little early, but they allowed me to check in right away, which was convenient. The only downside is the weak water pressure
Located along Kokusai Street, just a few minutes from Makishi Station, this hotel has an excellent location. Considering the price, it offers good value for money. This hotel is recommended for those who want to go bar-hopping on Kokusai Street.
The exterior is European-style, the rooms are simple and beautiful, the location is very good, right next to Makishi Station, transportation is convenient, and it's only a few minutes' walk to Kokusai-dori.
Hotel Sun Queen is in a very convenient location, the surrounding area is quiet and not noisy, and it is convenient for shopping and dining. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the overall cleanliness is good. The bathroom is a little small, but it is acceptable.

dinner buffet and breakfast buffet are awesome. I visited the hotel via tour, so the location is not a problem for me. the hot spring area is relatively small. but I like the drinks (water, vinegar, juice, amazake which is a very light alcohol ) they offer outside the spa.
Pros - great facilities including views, parking, good sized rooms, helpful and friendly staff, pool and onsen, ping pong room, huge buffet breakfast and dinner in a huge dining hall, kids activities, 7-11 convenience store short walk away, bath in the room. Cons - hotel is situated about 7km from the main sightseeing area of Beppu (Kannawa). If you don’t have a car, taxi is about Y3000 each way. If...

We booked 4 rooms for 10 people stays. So far my family enjoyed the stay here to experience the traditional Japanese ryokan with dinner and breakfast. Food are delicious as well
Staffs are very polite. Room is very big. Good service.
The management is inflexible. Because of flight delays, the hotel refuses to accommodate guests who are delayed by a day. The only option is to cancel without a refund and rebook. However, the hotel claims it's a problem with the system and cannot do this. This lack of flexibility causes losses for guests, which is very unsatisfactory. We hope the management methods can be improved.
Service was great, although I feel like the hotel is targeted at more elderly travelers. Breakfast was pretty and tasty. Onsen feels a bit unrenovated. The garden and the pond are pretty also. Would generally recommend, especially if you like to be thrown back to the 80s (but like in a good way).
This ryokan left mixed feelings. We decided to walk from the bus stop to the ryokan, and that was a mistake. Along the way, we passed dilapidated and abandoned ryokans, one of which still had a wreath from a funeral. What we saw was truly terrifying. At the ryokan itself, we were greeted warmly. They took our suitcases and took us to our room. They treated us to cold matcha and canelé. I was shocked...

The hotel room was very spacious with a great location and sea views. There were many dining options nearby, and the service was excellent. The bathhouse was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The cleanliness was also top-notch. I had a really good night's sleep on the floor in the Japanese-style room.
Nice hotel. Although a bit old, it is very clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary facilities. The onsen was fantastic—great temperature, nice room, and very convenient to enjoy. Breakfast buffet was excellent with good amount of variation and it's warmly flavored. The sea view from breakfast venue was beautiful.
I've stayed here before, and this time I brought a friend and booked a larger room. It's a historic inn, but the building and decor don't feel old at all. The Japanese-style room has a really nice vibe, and the smell of the tatami mats is so soothing. The room itself is incredibly spacious; I honestly think three or four people could comfortably stay in that one large tatami room. On the top floor...
Front desk lady was nice and helpful, though not many staff around... the hotel was efficient. We enjoyed the bath and was lucky to have parking space right in front. Had dinner within walking distance from hotel. Sea view was bonus.
Great location, amazing view facing the harbour. The dinner and breakfast both outstanding featuring local cuisines. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again! Exceptional experience!

The room is incredibly spacious. The shower in the room never gets warm.
The rooms were indeed more spacious than those in a business hotel, but the facilities were rather outdated, and there were no toiletries provided at the hot spring area. At breakfast, I saw other tables had hot pot beef or salmon, but why didn't I have any? There was only a piece of tofu in the pot... and a large fly even flew out. It's best to just experience it once in a while.

The location was great, right in front of the sea.
The hotel is located in the first row of the sea view. The scenery in the morning and evening is superb. The service staff is very friendly and the food is also very satisfactory. There is a bathhouse about five minutes' walk away (you can take a shuttle bus). We think it is great. There are two types of sea view and mountain view. Stayed in the standard double room. The room was huge, which is really surprising for Japan hotels. Everything was clean, it’s just that the hotel is a little old which shows in the style of the decorations, but the interior of the rooms were clean. Staying at Sanga Ryokan was like stepping into a postcard-perfect corner of rural Kumamoto — far from the bustle of big cities, nestled deep in lush forest along a gently flowing mountain stream. The moment I arrived, the earthy scent of cedar and moss greeted me, and a sense of calm washed over me as I walked up the winding path to the traditional entrance.
The whole experience was fantastic! The inn lives up to its name, surrounded by mountains and forests, with the sound of the river and the aroma of burning longan wood, taking the sensory experience to another level! Every service was incredibly attentive! Unfortunately, I couldn't eat much, but both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious! After a hot spring bath, you absolutely must try the...
The best onsen ryokan I've stayed at so far.
The service was excellent, and the rooms are spacious. Each room features its own private 'Qieshi' hot spring bath. They provide a shuttle service to and from the Kyushu Odan Bus Station. Upon check-in, you can book a time slot for the private onsen. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with dinner even being served directly in our room, which added a very special touch.
This is a very atmospheric hotel, nestled by a river in a dense forest. Our room overlooked a rushing river. The private wooden bath offered stunning views. They also have an indoor sulfur hot spring, which is a medicinal bath and quite unique. In the evening after dinner, while soaking in the public hot spring, we saw fireflies – it was a truly magical sight. We found the Japanese cuisine at this...

The hotel is quite a classic one and is located next to a small mountain. The view from upper floor (our room was on the 9th floor) give your a really nice view of the Nagasaki bay. The dinner and break fast buffet are both winners! So much variety and fresh! Very impressive!
Very nice onsen hotel, onsen with good view but specific time period for male and female to use the pool with view at 11 floor. My dinner timing slot was specified to be  at 7:30-9pm but when a go in at 7:30pm sharp most other guests are already inside. At 8:30pm food are already gone!
The buffet is famous and I was looking forward to it. However, I was disappointed with only two types of finely chopped sashimi, three types of thin nigiri, and vegetable tempura. The value for money is not good. Also, if I had known that students on a school trip would be staying there, I would have avoided it. The view from the rooftop open-air bath was amazing, so it's a shame.
The bath with a view was very nice. The facilities were old and in poor condition.
Very dated. The breakfast and dinner buffets are mediocre. Very good: We complained about the worn-out chairs in the room. They were immediately replaced with very good new ones.
The facilities in the room are a bit old, but it is very clean and the room is relatively large. There is a tatami next to the window, where you can lie down and look at the street view of Nagasaki. There is an open-air natural hot spring on the top floor of the hotel. You can soak in the hot water and watch Nagasaki, which has a great view.

The phoenix tree and the garden is very well maintained and clean. We propably recommend this hotel. Hoping for our next visit soon😊
I saw online that this hotel offered a free sand bath voucher, but it didn't. It cost 1,500 yen per person. The front desk staff were all Indian. Our Japanese-style room didn't include bed-making services; we had to make our own, and we found instructions online. We didn't choose dinner; the photos didn't make it appealing. We went for Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu BBQ instead. Ibusuki is a cheap and delicious...
It was great to be able to have a sand bath here rather than needing to go out to another facilities. The onsen wasn't much, but ok. Nice welcome biscuits. Car park was easily available. Nice seaview from the room. Also good to have extra toilets outside our bedroom.
The building is old, and the smell in the lobby and rooms bothered me a bit. The price was reasonable, and I was traveling alone, so I thought it would be fine, but... I definitely wouldn't want to stay here again...
A bit old but clean room. Staff is not good in English. The sand onsen is attached in hotel which is convenient. Yet, the sand is not hot enough.
A hot spring hotel near the sea, a ten-story Japanese-style sea view room, with an unobstructed sea view outside the window, the scenery is very good. I gave you a sand bath coupon for the hotel's own sand bath hot spring, so you don't even have to go to the Sand Le Hall. The specialty of Ibusuki is the sand bath. Staff are helpful and friendly, breakfast is good, but the hotel is looking a bit tired (compared to 10 years ago when we stayed previously). Lighting in rooms is poor and the beds are simply old and worn out. Shuttle bus into Hakata is useful but the schedule is pretty limited and whilst the railway across the road is an alternative, there probably are better options closer to town.
The room is spacious with extra bed for kid. Baby cot can be provided as well.
A clean and convenient hotel. The only downside is that the beach isn't swimmable.
Hotel is clean the only thing I found it weird we had to set our own bed they left the futons folding on the corner of the room for you No pool service I m told summer only this is mid October but it is hot as hell felt like summer time in fall not recommended if you don’t rent the car

The hotel is tucked in a quiet part of the town but it's conveient because of the pick up service. Overall, it was fine but a bit pricy for the food the hotel provided. Not value for money as the ingredients of food were basic and the price they charged were fairly high. Will not return again.
A very relaxing place and if you need a peaceful and restful holiday, I would recommend this place. They are away from busy shopping or town so you practically just relax while you there and enjoy the hot spring.
It is a relaxing experience in the hotel. All staff showed true hospitality of a quality hotel. Will recommend friends to visit later
We arrived a bit early this time, but the hotel insisted on an extra charge for early check-in. While the facilities are quite new, the layout isn't great. The sauna's showers are inconvenient, requiring an elevator ride to another floor. The staff's service attitude wasn't very good.
The hot spring temperature was just right, making it easy to get in, and it was great to be able to relax in the in-room bath! The room was also incredibly clean and stylish, and most importantly, spacious! It was also very practical and simply standard! The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were both visually stunning and delicious♪ Since my only option for a relaxing trip was to enjoy a hot spring...
The hotel is located near Takeo Onsen Station, about a 10-minute drive away. The rooms are spacious and have private baths and tatami mats. The meals include local specialty Saga beef, and drinks are available in the lounge.
