Hotels on first line in Andalusia

Everything was fine, but I didn't expect that booking a room directly there would be more expensive. Also, when I was collecting my luggage, they didn't tell me that it had already been taken out, so I had to wait there.

The hotel has a fantastic location! It's right next to the train and bus stations, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing! There are many bus stops nearby, making it easy to get to attractions or the old town! A wide variety of supermarkets and restaurants are also nearby, perfect for satisfying your cravings! Highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel which is attached the the shopping centre and the major train station. Excellent buffet restaurant at the front and lovely staff who were very helpful with finding ways to get to the city centre

Nice hotel just next to the train station with plenty of amenities like gym and sauna

Only one evening a bit late and was busy told to go in conservatory bit but refused to going in there and waited. The only thing is you can’t get exchange £ to euros from reception but catch bus up to bank nearby

This is the 3rd hotel we have stayed in Mojacar. Coming at end of the season jet2 only had two choices. Food: for the first few days we knew what we were eating and then the labels disappeared

Had a wonderful 10 days at this hotel, have been to this hotel before but not since the refurbishment. Little niggle about the refurbishment, no usb sockets fitted with new plug sockets, most hotels now have USB sockets

There is a qr code to get allergens which is USELESS if you can’t identify the meal. I asked at reception for labels to be put back and same that night. So sent an email and labels returned

Good food, a lot of activities organised by the hotel helpful staff and nice heated inside swimming pool. Also nice location in walking distance from the beach.

Rooms were fine and comfortable missed not having tea and coffee facilities in the room. But otherwise nice and spacious. We had a room that slept 4 and had one of the biggest balcony's in the hotel overlooking the pool

IRENE was extremely KIND AND POLITE really HELPFUL and explained to me all the necessary details, everything about the hotel and the area when I arrived!!!! But most importantly she made me feel comfortable as well as feel this hotel like my second home and treated me with a smile!!! Amazing customer service!!! WELL DONE!!!! With definitely come back!!!!!

As the hotel was very quiet while we were there the entertainment was minimal However Anthony one of the entertainment team made our holiday he was very friendly. Encouraging all holiday makers to join in the fun

Food was good we were half board breakfast was ok have everything you would expect. Evening meal was lovely good choice and always fresh. Drinks were served at the table

- you can have bad luck with medusas in sea - you can get annoyed with children in case you don´t like them screaming after midnight - you can hurt yourself with rocks in the water (or try another beach)

A beautiful hotel with a wonderful view. Breakfast overlooking the sea. Our room also featured a balcony with sea views. Excellent food and fantastic service.

Great hotel, nice and clean got everything you need

We liked the animators also, everyday dancing in the pool, evenings at the beach bar - dancing, flamenco, great for families with children

We headed over for a European Track day and this is the second time we’ve been and it is an absolutely fantastic hotel, it’s kept impeccably clean and the staff are so very nice and welcoming and what’s more there is nothing they won’t do to make your stay and experience even better

The only thing we found better at the Marina Mar was the indoor leisure facilities and the bar at the side of the hotel had a bit more life than the beach bar at the Marina Playa

I absolutely love staying at this hotel. I'd rank it along with the best hotels I've ever stayed in, however, this is much, much cheaper. Fortunately, I'll be back again this year! Happy Days

We had B&B basis, breakfast was nice. No tea/coffee making facilities. Irish bar & Italian restaurant closed for the season as were the on site shops. Restaurants close by also closed

We stayed for one week full board. All the staff we met were friendly and courteous. A special mention goes to the maintenance men who were replacing the large glass door

Also to the dinning room staff, especially Bernardo and the lady with glasses who helped our son regarding vegan food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Plenty of sunbeds all around the main pool areas, no issues getting an available bed. Do take your own towels though as they are not provided. Some beds looked rather grubby. Food wise - well, not sure what to say

Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms but the air conditioning could be better. The swimming pools are great but the location to bars/restaurants/shops is not great

Stayed for a week at the Marina Mar and whilst it was a pleasant enough stay I wouldn’t rate the hotel a 4 star. Rooms cleaned every day, fabulous powerful shower. My room overlooked the main pool (3008)

We've been coming to the Marina Mar and Marina playa hotels for 20 years now and cannot fault anything! The staff, the food, the service top notch especially if you're a family

Awful time slot system, slot 1 or 2 for dinner and lunch. Such a very small window to accommodate an entire hotel of people. I had 2 nights where I was part of a 60-70 strong queue of people waiting to go in

It was like a free for all cattle market. Food quality was not too great, mainly at the dinner service. I do have to say though that every dish was either lukewarm or cold. Not a single hot dish all week

around the pool area all the parasols are broken and one of them almost fell on one of my kids, the food was good and even having a fussy eater he even managed to find something to eat every day loved the breakfast this was my fav the hotel is in a good location right on the beach which we loved the staff were friendly and the 2 speciality restaurants were also very good i would love to go back to...

All of the staff were so polite and great with the children. We upgraded to the family suite room with the whirlpool and larger balcony

The outdoor pools were lovely and clean but freezing for this time of year. The indoor spa was lovely and relaxing! The staff can’t do enough for you from organising taxis’s, wheelchairs and advice about the local area

On arrival one of our rooms were upgraded to a sea view suite a pleasant surprise! Our rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained all week, the free soft drinks were an added bonus

Lovely relaxing holiday, this hotel is very clean and rooms spacious and well equipped for a stress free stay, fridge with water and soft drinks topped up everyday, safe included at no extra charge which was good

Majority of staff friendly and helpful especially the reception staff which always had a smile, entertainment was ok, a very good rock band on our last eve. Food was good with a wide variety to suit most people

The hotel has a quiet pool area - not crowded at all. Pool towels are available at reception at no extra cost. The hotel is right next to the beach, but 30min walk/5 min by car to Conil de la Frontera

Great views from the rooms towards the sea. Also directly by the sea though a bit up in a cliff. The pool itself is large, very well kept and beautiful views. The hotel is clean and staff is friendly

We loved this hotel not because it's the type of hotel we usually like but because it isn't. It's a big family hotel with lots of large uncool folk lounging round the pool. Some might say it's a bit naff but we loved it

We have just been to Garbí Costa Luz and had a great experience in this lovely place with stunning views and super friendly staff! The buffet is very varied, and you have lots of options to choose from

It's right on a cliff overlooking a brilliant beach. The staff are great, rooms great and the evening buffet is soooo entertaining, not to mention tasty and copious. And there were a lot of big eaters here

so this was a great excuse to come back and enjoy the pool and the amazing hospitality that comes with this wonderful hotel

Just returned from this Hotel,. Good value for money, decent food, in a great position! Beach just a short walk across the main road. Wood Veneering around the pool

What excited me was the Sobrasada pate at Breakfast. Sometimes the crackling is included ,crunched up. The hotel pool is fun but one has to wear a cap. We had a fearful wait at Malaga airport for passport control

And even a sangria making session! It is so much nicer to come to Spain than France. My first trip to Spain was in 1960. But always the people are patient and understanding of Brits

Hopefully this will improve once the automatic entry system is in place I understand that one can pre register for this but not sure. That's all for now chums God bless xxxxx

I must say that the staff and team were excellent. They have helped sort out our little queries. One never get this sort of service in the UK

But I realised when packing to leave the things were in the wardrobe too, in my backpack even!! Sorry but not acceptable to me! and I know this is not a one off as I've seen the problem mentioned in other reviews

This is a beautiful resort with 2 indoor pools and several outdoor pools. The children's area is down near the beach, and there is a children's indoor pool with changing facilities and a play area/sand pit

Second time staying here and room is spacious and well designed. Facilities are a bit aged but well maintained. Swimming pools are clean and not crowded in February. Plenty of restaurants in the hotel and nearby

Having a terrace overlooking the pool made it even more enjoyable, and the private laundry room was a huge bonus for a longer stay. One feature we loved was the on-site supermarket

We stayed for three weeks in a three-bedroom apartment facing the pool, and we honestly could not have asked for a better room or a better experience

Lower floor room with a direct view of a construction site (they're rebuilding a fountain). Overall it looked like the buildings faced inward toward center of the property

Marriott Marbella Beach Resort was truly one of the highlights of our entire Spain trip

There are several pools - one that is tastefully designed like a river (with slides, jacuzzis etc) an indoor pool and a large fresh water infinity pool overlooking the sea

I would like to give special mentions to Pablo (at the infinity pool bar) who helped me to decipher the busses (where I could and couldn't get to) and also to Gloria and Anna who work so hard but always have a smile for everyone

Also I'm quite fit, but the hotel might not suit those less mobile that want to get out and about as everything outside (including the beach) is either up or down a steep hill

The room (and I only had the standard room) was immaculate with balcony, views over the hillside dotted with villas and a side view of the beach

I wish I had delved deeper into the reviews before booking this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful with the infinity pool and hot tubs but apart from that I don’t have many positive things to say

There are several restaurants and bars and the food I found to be really good - it's all made freshly (omelettes, eggs, meat and fish cooked in front of you and plenty of fresh local produce) and there's lots of variety - you won't get the typical English "fry up" and "chips with everything! but there's plenty to suit all tastes

Pool was fantastic for kids an the hotel was spotless.

Having stayed in many 4* hotels I would say that this is more 3 star. We booked a double sea view room

The sunbeds however need replacing, they are not cleaned or tidied at night and the pool area could do with more attention on the cleanliness

The room was massive with a walk in wardrobe which was great. There was a large bath in the room which the kids loved. The pool was excellent, plenty of area to enjoy and a great area for the kids

We used the pool bar mainly as it was close to the room and this was good. The entertainment was ok but as this is mainly a Spanish resort it's mainly aimed for locals which we enjoyed

We have just come back from a 9 night stay here. We had a great time and really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We booked a beach suite which made life alot better as a family of four

My lovely ladies Maria Jose, Elena , Laura and Carmen who made us laugh everyday. the pool bar staff Ishmael and Marcel kept us hydrated. The lobby bar staff were great too Bertolo always looked after us

The buffet breakfast and dinner is one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Juan Jesus seated us and always came to see if we needed anything and the lovely surprise of a bottle of sherry

The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and very clean. I highly recommend and it has one of the best beaches in Spain

As usual, Iberostar was wonderful and this hotel goes above their normal service. The whole week was excellent. The food was top rate, the service you could not fault and the hotel ,spotless

Welcomed back by the amazing staff. There re so many who make you feel special from the reception to the hospitality staff they make you feel relaxed straight away

The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. The breakfasts were very good. You had to pay extra for beach beds. Did not expect this and did not feel this was reasonable

The property and pool area is very nice. Location is great, close to the beach. With a bit of work this could be a really nice place

We are regular visitors to the hotel and love every aspect of it. Unfortunately we have to bring our own orange juise as the juise provided is very weak. This is the only thing that lets the hotel down.

Great little complex to stay at, 20 minutes walk from Puerto Banus. Breakfast could be better with the bacon being a heartblocker. Pool areas really nice but could do with some new turfing here and there

Has a nice pool area where you can chill all day, decent breakfast. Room was large enough, air conditioning and a ceiling fan

Decor was a bit dated, but the room was large and spotlessly clean. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of space and numerous pools. The aircon in my room did not work, so I had trouble sleeping well

Everything about this hotel was perfect, was on the sea front, we had a deluxe room with balcony, excellent views, location, food, facilities and entertainment were the best ever, was also spotless clean - staff all very hardworking, friendly and helpful, hubby became ill for a while and was given the best care ever by the hotel staff and the Jet 2 reps, Geraldine and Isabella

Really nice hotel. Big rooms. We had a room facing the sea so we could watch the sunrise from our balcony. Food was good.

This hotel was recently refurbished and in the main good. It lacked variety in the evening with only a few changes to the food on offer - as many items were very similar each day

Plenty of space to relax during the day,  Local area is convenient, with Carrefour in walking distance and a lot of restaurants. Though the restaurants near the beach are overrated and I would not recommend

The location and proximity of the hotel to the beach was great, with lots to do around this area. However, this came at an additional cost and the lady that worked in there was both not helpful or happy with her role

Room upgrade to 8th floor sea view was amazing. All staff were very friendly, helpful & polite Breakfast was plentiful, good choice, Freshly cooked pancakes would have made it perfect

The beds were comfy and helped in getting a great nights sleep - A must when on holiday! The food is varied, local dishes and the evening show cooking offers a terrific chance to sample great freshly prepared food

The pool is excellent - Decent deep end to allow the kids to dive/jump and the system of booking a sunbed is a great idea - No sunbed wars during the entire stay

It had a generously sized balcony with a lovely view. Fantastic pool, great location right by the beach, helpful staff, very clean and great facilities. We were the only non-Spanish guests which was fine by us

Roomy and family friendly rooms with double bed and a sofa and refrigerator. A big plus is that they tend to give pool level rooms to families with children. So easy to get in and out of the pool

The only negative part was: we put the don't disturb sign every night but every morning they would still open the door and come in, even if they saw us in bed half naked feeding the baby they walked in and started to mess in the wardrobe or other things

Screaming "NOO" to their knocks ment nothing. Starting to think the maids were paid by each room and not by schedule, why else the urge to force into rooms they cleaned just the other day? Last thing is the buffet

The transfer offered by the hotel to a virgin beach is also interesting and very familiar beach to visit. One point of attention: there is no bathroom there so ensure to be prepared if you have kids

So if you are an early riser or have children ! We have lived in Spain so didn't bother us too much. Pools also didn't open until 11am which was disappointing as it was so hot. The food was repetitive but good

Went here on a Saga holiday and had a great time. Room clean and bed comfortable. Food a bit repetitive but generally good. Staff all friendly and helpful - special thanks to Esmarelda and Lucian

Great experience with my family. The only thing is the activities are only for kids over 4y. o which it does not give the opportunity to the youngers to join even if the parents around

Short walk to small friendly village with good fish restaurants. Great place for birdwatchers with good walks from the hotel. Would be happy to go back again

The hotel terrace and the direct access down to the beach level were excellent and added a lot to the experience. Breakfast was superb, with great variety and quality

As we were leaving the hotel every day for day trips, the concierge team stayed in direct contact with us via WhatsApp, followed up consistently, suggested the best spots to visit, and helped us with restaurant bookings

September after kids are back in school. Rooms are spacious, newly refurbished with all amenities that are required. Pool is a good temperature ( probably 28°), lots of choice of food, of a good quality

Unfortunately, around the pool it feels like being packed into a sardine can, with many annoying flies and far too many loungers crammed into too little space. The whole atmosphere just feels very unpleasant

Another issue was that they provided beach towels that were much too small. Food quality was good, though options were extremely limited and very repetitive. The drinks service was extremely frustrating

Some would say the location was good because it was close to a magnificent beach. However, there are no facilities on the beach

The pizza restaurant is great. Pasta, bruchetta, pizza etc and the wine is excellent. Special mention to Joao Ferriasao

Nice place close to beach. Great food. Only downside is pool not heated.

The main building is very noisy with paper-thin walls, so earplugs are a must, and the hotel would benefit from some maintenance. There were queues for dinner even out of season, which makes peak summer hard to imagine

We would definitely recommend this hotel and I am sure we will go back in the future

For the price paid it’s fair value, with entertainment closer to a 4★ standard, but the food is more typical 3★ – adequate rather than exciting, and guests who don’t eat pork may find protein choices limited

The pool area is good and there’s direct seafront access, though no proper beach section. Be aware there’s a £1 charge for each towel change

In hindsight we should have done more research and book something nearer the bars and restaurants
