Had a wonderful 10 days at this hotel, have been to this hotel before but not since the refurbishment. Little niggle about the refurbishment, no usb sockets fitted with new plug sockets, most hotels now have USB sockets. No kettle in the room, we hired a kettle for €20. Beautiful hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Spent 3 nights here for a short break, the room was spacious with 2 double beds which were very comfortable, it was spotless and cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. We have already booked another break here.

Very good Hotel with a wide range of services and activities to do inside it. The food is good, where you have different dishes for all wishes and tastes. Everyday you have an after dinner show, where you can enjoy and laugh with the performance of Ernesto. You can also participate in the show. Definitely, was an experience which we'll repeat.

Great hotel, nice and clean got everything you need. We had breakfast included in our stay and what a great selection they put out every morning from your full English breakfast, omelettes, pancakes, fresh fruit and loads more! Room was lovely, couldn’t fault it and a great sea view. Would definitely stay again if we return to benalmadena!

Room was clean but dated. Shower was the best i have experienced in a hotel. Pillows were too soft for me but others may like. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Hotel needs modernization but i would definitely stay there again.

We headed over for a European Track day and this is the second time we’ve been and it is an absolutely fantastic hotel, it’s kept impeccably clean and the staff are so very nice and welcoming and what’s more there is nothing they won’t do to make your stay and experience even better. This is the second time here and Im already looking forward to returning next year.

We stayed for one week full board. Everything was perfect. All the staff we met were friendly and courteous. A special mention goes to the maintenance men who were replacing the large glass door. Ok hotel, nothing special. Basic room. We had B&B basis, breakfast was nice. No tea/coffee making facilities. No English channels on tv. Very, very quiet in November. Irish bar & Italian restaurant closed for the season as were the on site shops. Restaurants close by also closed. A walk of 20-30 mins closer to be centre of Mojácar had cafes, shops, bars & restaurants.

Stayed for a week at the Marina Mar and whilst it was a pleasant enough stay I wouldn’t rate the hotel a 4 star. Rooms cleaned every day, fabulous powerful shower. My room overlooked the main pool (3008). Quite large balcony areas. Plenty of sunbeds all around the main pool areas, no issues getting an available bed. Do take your own towels though as they are not provided. Some beds looked rather grubby...

We've been coming to the Marina Mar and Marina playa hotels for 20 years now and cannot fault anything! The staff, the food, the service top notch especially if you're a family. A dated hotel, pools are saltwater, no entertainment in English but rooms and towels clean ever day, breakfast has a great selection, free parking although sometimes very very full. Plenty of sun beds especially between 15:00-17:00, siesta time, nothing much outside of hotel a bus or car trip to restaurants and bars, beaches close with lifeguards. The place is good. The rooms are comfortable and the facilities a good for kids and families. It is a distance away from central Marbella which is both good and not-so-good if you don’t have your transport. Taxis could be good option if you’re not renting a car (which we did). We stayed 10 nights at Iberostar Selection Andalucía Playa and enjoyed our time, but the hotel feels more like a four-star property dressed up as a five-star. We are regular visitors to the hotel and love every aspect of it. Unfortunately we have to bring our own orange juise as the juise provided is very weak. This is the only thing that lets the hotel down.

Great little complex to stay at, 20 minutes walk from Puerto Banus. Breakfast could be better with the bacon being a heartblocker. Pool areas really nice but could do with some new turfing here and there. Fancy sun beds for rent at a ridiculous cost, hence never saw them used once during our stay. We loved this hotel! We only stayed for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed for longer. We opted for a Junior Suite as we are a family of 4 and wanted a bit more space. We had a lovely, peaceful stay during the off-peak season. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and right on the beach with a few local shops nearby. I had emailed ahead to arrange a surprise upgrade for my mum’s 60th birthday, and the hotel kindly made it happen—it really made the trip special. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Ants and flys around the food. Also dirty dishes with clean ones. They where the only issue. The staff were very friendly, I have grown son who does not deal with people he does not know because of his autism but the staff where amazing with him. Yes I would go back and in fact iv booked to back at Christmas.

Great Location, typically spanish The hotel catered very much for the Spanish, by that I mean the times of the restaurants - breakfast 8 - 11am, lunch 1.30 - 3.30pm and dinner 8 - 11. Went here on a Saga holiday and had a great time. Room clean and bed comfortable. Food a bit repetitive but generally good. Staff all friendly and helpful - special thanks to Esmarelda and Lucian. Short walk to small friendly village with good fish restaurants. Great place for birdwatchers with good walks from the hotel. Would be happy to go back again

Great experience with my family. My daughter of almost 3y.o enjoyed the pool, food. The only thing is the activities are only for kids over 4y.o which it does not give the opportunity to the youngers to join even if the parents around. Fabulous hotel, perfectly placed right on the beach and a short walk into the old town. We had a great time, friendly staff, sea view room and didn't realise we had booked a 'selected' experience. This included extras like late check out, enhanced breakfast and best of all, a free business-type lounge with wines, beers, spirts, snacks, private sun lounge areas etc. Amazing and definitely coming back

The BEST complimentary breakfast my husband and I have ever had in all our travels. The beach view room was beautiful. The bathrooms were so luxurious with heated toilet seats, bade, a tub and a shower. The staff was all so wonderful making our stay relaxing and feeling taken care of from the moment we drove in to leaving for our flight home. We would come back and recommend it!!
