Beautiful, well kept hotel. Spacious rooms. Huge pools surrounded by palms and gardens. Food is generally very good and there is enough variety to please most people, most nights. Half board was good value, for us, as drinks are not expensive, with nice cocktails for €7 and beer for €4. Unless you are a massive drinker or never want to leave the hotel, all inclusive is probably less good value.

I have stayed at the Hotel Oro Negro over a dozen times in the last three years and only once was I given a room I didn't like ,When I went to the reception I requested another room and after a few minutes the problem was resolved satisfactorily. We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Tenerife staying at Catalonia Oro Negro loved the hotel and was in a great location for access to lots to do. This is a very clean hotel, with very friendly staff, we was all-inclusive and worth every penny. What a strange place. Booked very late just to get away. On arrival, look lovely from the outside and reception looks good too. Only 1 member of staff on reception most times, so there could be longs waits whenever you wanted something. Room was great on the 5th floor and very spacious. Beds were never made up and the floor never mopped, but the towels were changed, even when you didn't need them....

Lovely hotel if you're looking for something quiet and reasonably basic. Rooms were large and always clean. The pool however was dirty although some of that is to be expected with a rooftop pool it was a bit off putting. The staff were always amazing, very attentive and helpful. I would stay again.

The hotel overall I would say is very dated. Lots of the furniture was stained and in need of an update but it was exceptionally clean. Always a warm welcome from the staff who go beyond to make sure you have a special stay 😊 perfect location to explore the surrounding areas, pick ups available for excursions around the island, and plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

It's an old building with an old building feel. Cleanliness is good with cleaners working 5/7 days pw. Towels and bedding changed every 3 or 4 days. Room facilities are excellent with everything you need to cook basic meals. Shampoo and soap provided.

I loved the hotel and the staff but the area around the hotel is a bit of a tourist ghetto. I did have a great stay though.

Considering the price, the hotel was very good. It fully matched what we paid for. The room was cleaned regularly, the trash was taken out, and the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Everyone was smiling and willing to help whenever they could. Thank you all !

I shared many of the thoughts of the previous reviews> especially the hotel being more 3 star than 5 star. This is based on the rooms themselves more than anything as the hotel is very grande in places, its in a quite location and it has good facilities and a decent pool. The staff here are friendly, attentive and efficient. Our room was ready early on arrival and was clean and comfortable. The beds were so comfortable we had the best night sleep. We have been here many times and love the size of poolside where you can always get a sun bed. It’s a little dated in parts but the positive aspects over rude the very small negatives
