3 star hotels in Crete

I've just come back from this hotel (my trip was from the 10th of August till 17th). I would personally rate it for 3 stars only, as it doesn't meet all the requirements for 4 starts. Here is why. Such simple thing, yet there's no bottled water in rooms, food is excellent, but repeteable and often cold, there's rather limited choice of drinks, and truly all that 'all inclusive' is more of a myth than...

Perfect view, mountains around, good food, rooms are dated but ok, clean pools, great waterpark. If you dont have a car then its a problem - hotel is in a mountain, long road up from the main street.

Was a very cool place for the kids. A little water park with like 6 slides and then two separate pools. Pool tables and mini golf. Down side was just overall maintenance. Not bad, but it can be better. One thing to keep in mind is that the welcome back is chargeable and the air con. At the time we visited, welcome pack was 8.50 euro and air con was 6 euro per day which we were aware of so it wasnt an issue for us. Basic clean rooms, safe in room and aircon both payable at hotel. Sheets and towels changed every 3 days. Basic cooking facilities, no toaster. 10 minutes to main street for restaurants and bars etc but restaurants at bottom of street, less than 3 minutes walk away. Pool area very nice, snacks and drinks available at reasonable cost.

Had an excellent stay at the Apollon Hotel. Very friendly, clean and relaxing. Staff were great, Maria, jack and Clarissa (who did try to teach us Greek) only did learn yamass 😄 pool area was quite, which we liked however think that was just with covid. Met lots of nice people during our stay. Will definitely be back for another visit.

It seems this great hotel is no longer open to tourists. hopefully this may change one day as it had a very friendly vibe, and the food was excellent

Truly surprising and fantastic place. It is not a Five Star hotel, but everything about it feels like one. If you want to relax and enjoy the beach then this place is perfect. We enjoyed having a kitchenette so that when we wanted a little break from the beach, we could quickly go back to our room and have a snack. The staff always ensured that our room was clean and if we needed anything then they were able to assist us (ex. Calling a taxi or printing a voucher).

We really enjoyed our stay at Savus, the property was exactly what we needed, clean, high quality, and great location right next to the beach and tons of restaurants! Our room (with the jacuzzi) was a very large room with lots of space. The staff were amazing, so helpful and really cared about us during our stay!

Fabulous stay in this modern boutique hotel in the middle of town. Beautiful view with sea across the road. Wonderful and charming staff, Dimitri a perfect front person who couldn’t have been more helpful. Would stay again without a doubt.

Nicely located near the port and old Rethimno town. Friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast included many items and even the jams and breakfast bars were homemade. We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Savus. Check-in was seamless with a warm welcome and refreshing lemonade, the bed was very comfortable, and water was replenished daily. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of variety and made-to-order eggs. We stayed in Elotis suites from 17 Oct for one week as a family of 3 adults and 2 teens. We had room 201 which is by far the best apartment because of the balcony and the view. There is about 15 steps to get upto the apartment so might be an issue for some but for us it was fine. 2 twins rooms which can be made into double beds if needed and also two sofas in the living room for extra beds.
