Lena Beach Hotel is a hidden gem. Stunning location and truly excellent service from all the staff. The shared areas of the hotel are so well maintained and the dining area, terrace and pool area are beautiful. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. It didn't bother us at all but if you like a touch of extra quality in your bedroom furnishings then maybe not for you.

I visited the hotel twice. In both visits, I enjoyed a wonderful week at this hotel and I highly recommend it. Built next to the sea and near the centre of Platanias, in an area with many restaurants, shops and interesting activities. The breakfast is nice, WiFi works properly. We spent two nights in this very nice, family-run hotel. Service was super-friendly always with a smile. We had one of the newly renovated rooms which was really good for our family of four. The location is good and the breakfast is barely acceptable. There are two disadvantages. First, there is no sea view. Second, the front desk is a bit inconvenient at 8 am and 10 pm. If you go out every day or work, and just sleep in the room, it is actually a good choice.

The hotel is located in a lively neighborhood of Platanias with lots of dining options nearby. The room is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is onsite parking but it’s a bit tight to maneuver if you have a full size car. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Platanias Beach and Agia Marina is less than a mile away.

The location isn't pleasant. You may be staying in a quiet residential area about 1km outside of town, but it's far from quiet. The reason for this: The hotel is located in the airport's takeoff and landing lane. The planes may be turning around, but they're still only a few hundred meters above the ground. Earplugs are therefore highly recommended! Our room was also a bit annoying. It was very cramped...

Staff here are lovely and really helpful, but food quality and variety really lets it down. As a hotel/apartment complex that offers an all inclusive service, the variety of food and particularly drinks is too limited. Visited some friends who were staying atvthese apartments. They were delighted with the refurbishment of the rooms and facilities from last year. Everything looked fresh and new. Heartful service and all in all, a decent hotel to relax with the family. Central location in Platanias is a huge plus as well, while being still quiet. Roof terrace was a cool addition as well, and guests are welcome to stay and store luggage even after check out, which was indeed helpful to us.

Fantastically friendly staff; they have a little museum with replicas of many important objects from around Crete and original coins and notes from history, as well as a bicycle made for two! Lovely hotel, clean team Cody with fresh towels, comfortable loungers by the pool, pool was always spotless. Buffet food was a good standard but did get a bit repetitive. Tip if you want to get the bus into Chania the best way is to go behind the hotel their is lane/ally that lead to the main road the bus top is opposite a mini supermarket

Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. Of course my own fault that I did not put it to safety box, but not very reliable staff. The chief of hotel says that there is no thiefs and I have myself lose it somewhere.

Spotlessly clean and brilliant hosts, nothing was too much trouble. A friendly and relaxed hotel ideally placed to discover georgioupolis or further afield either by car or bus. I stayed there recently with my daughter and couldnt have picked a better place for us.
