Reykjavik, V. Hagatorg, Vesturbaer (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Fantastic accommodations. Very helpful staff and great room. We stayed here over the new year in room 457 which is a business class room. The room is spacious and quiet with comfortable beds. We had coffee, tea and complimentary chocolate. There is even robes and slippers in the closet.
The food in the restaurant was exquisite and the service was excellent. The food is not cheap but worth it. Be...
The beds are comfortable but
1. I had a hard time finding my room
2. I could hear that my neighbours were doing some stuff through the door in my room
3. Breakfast didn't have much variety.
This is a fancy hotel but my stay could have been better
Great stay at the hotel. Booked a room including breakfast.
The breakfast had lots of variety and choices and fresh produce, some of it local. The hotel staff was friendly and available for all request and questions. The rooms were good and spacious, a little bit noisy because of the door between the two hotel rooms. Located perfectly in the city nothing is ever further than a 20 minute walk anyway
The hotel was perfectly placed for what we wanted to do, the restaurant downstairs was exceptionally good, great food and friendly service. You could tell the room hadn’t seen any renovations in a long time, and there were what appeared to be dried bogeys on the side of our bed. Also, we had a double bed but with two single duvets - not sure if this is normal in Iceland but was certainly strange.
The rooms have good view of their snow-capped mountains. For now it takes longer though to move from the rooms to the ground floor since the hotel is presently undergoing renovation. Their Grilled restaurant on the top floor has 180 degrees view of the city. It serves good food & wine.
The refurbished rooms are nice and comfy with good beds. The old rooms not so good. Once the hotel is finished refurbishment it will be great. Only about 10min walk from town.

The hotel sits on a street corner, with easy access to the city centre and a nice view of the harbour. Clean and warm, with enjoyable breakfast. The sauna and relaxation areas are not huge, but offer a nice opportunity to unwind after a long day out in the cold weather. The staff are friendly and happy to help with eating suggestions and deals available. I would definitely go back in the future.
Hotel is in a great location (close to bus stop 5 which you'll get why knowing bus stop numbers is ideal as this is where you wait for yours to pick up or bus to the airport).
Breakfast is good and close to harbour means nice views.
Just come with an idea of spending more than you think as that is how Iceland is!
Blue Lagoon is a must...!
The room facilities are complete and the space is quite large. It's very close to the pier, making it a great choice if you're planning a whale-watching trip. The hotel's hygiene is good, and it's super close to Boss Zhu's restaurant, highly recommended!
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city's popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, etc. The room is relatively small, but comfortable. The bathroom is relatively small, especially the wash basin. The so-called buffet breakfast is not bad, but there is not much choice of food. The hotel service and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Right opposite Hapa Concert Hall
Great hotel but service at the front desk can be better.

Fantastic location, handy for bus stop 3 for tours and what a stunning building! Staff are so helpful, can’t fault the place.
Great location and super friendly staff. We had a great experience at this hotel. Rooms were really nice, clean and well styled. We had so many questions being our first day in Iceland and Claudia was amazing giving us recommendations for restaurants, shops and the northern lights viewing locations. We hope to visit again.
Our first visit to Reykjavík, and Borg Hotel was the perfect choice. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to so many great spots. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the beautiful Art Deco motif that gives the hotel so much character and charm. We would...
Great location, simple, clean room. Walls are a little thin, could hear other doors being opened and closed. There was some space along the street to drop off luggages, hotel recommended a couple of nearby parking garages which were all walkable even in the insane wind.
Close to many great restaurants, convenience stores etc.
The location is perfectly situated downtown, the room was well appointed and confortable. The art deco aesthetic is everything! Very hospitable staff, I would definitely come back on my next trip out here.
Our room was clean and well organized, and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy to regulate the heat/cold by simply adjusting the radiators and/or opening the windows. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with lots of hot and cold choices. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back here on our next visit!

Pick it for the location - in downtown Reykjavik (beautifully lit with fairy lights during winter) with lots of traditional houses, close to a main bus stop (for tours) and in walking distance of restaurants and the harbour. This hotel is such a cute place with simple, modern rooms which are quiet at night. To get there from the airport, buy a Flybus ticket (right by the exit in arrivals) and go to...
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Reykjavík Centrum and would definitely give it 5 stars. We stayed in a triple room, which was very comfortable and well organized, offering plenty of space for a great stay.
The location is absolutely perfect, right in the city center and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and main attractions. Everything was spotlessly clean, which made us feel very comfortable...
I loved everything about my stay here. The staff made me feel very welcomed and helped me with any questions I had even before I arrived. The location was perfect to everything I needed to get to. The breakfast in the morning was always very filling and appetizing and perfect way to start each day. I highly recommend adding that to your stay. I would always pick here to stay when traveling to Reykjav...
I strongly recommend that hotel. Yes, it is overpriced but it is the average value in Reykjavik as well. Breakfast is perfect and the staff is kind.
Great hotel, location couldn't be better, spotlessly clean, tasty breakfast and friendly staff. The receptionist (I think she was called Kristýna) was super helpful with ideas on where to visit, she was an absolute super star!
Would definitely stay here again.
Amazing hotel. Beds were super comfortable, lovely and warm (and I'm really fussy!) Staff were very friendly and always happy to answer questions. Service of the room is on request which is a brilliant idea no one changes crying every day at home! Breakfast was fresh and ample. We didn't have any issues with noise and we were at the side of the hotel. Stayed for our honeymoon and had a lovely note...

Rooms are specious and clean . Good location near from restaurants , bars and to visit the city by walk .
We had only a 1 day stay as we were getting on a cruise ship. This hotel was very close to the cruise port and the staff their directed us to a walkable distance to a free shuttle bus to the cruise port, We explored the area , which was downtown, on foot and enjoyed it very much..
Overpriced for the quality of the room
Good location but room with slanted ceiling and only skylights without windows. Felt like we were in an attic. Not happy with the room for the price we paid.
The room was clean however the bathroom really smelt badly of “drain”.
The bed was comfortable and the area was generally quiet.
The breakfast was very crowded with little room to manoeuvre. The hot food was lukewarm at best with the bacon being totally undercooked on the first morning and overcooked on the second morning.
The bread I felt like eating on the second morning of my stay was still frozen...
Great stay pre-cruise. Excellent property, beautifully appointed. Was just a short walk to our cruise port and to the Harpa concert hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lots of dining and drinking options within a short walk and an excellent restaurant in-house

A really clean, warm and quiet room with a large TV, fridge, safe, a kettle & decent quality tea & coffee.
The bathroom is fine, and the shower flow rate is good.
Breakfast is amazing and worth it 👏 & happy hour is also worth taking advantage of.
The location is on the outskirts of the very busiest part of downtown Reykjavik, but still central and a stones throw from the ocean walkway.
Down points...
Great hotel, the staff super friendly and service is amazing. Just a little nitpick is the placement of the TV position is a little odd. But the room is super spacious and with a little balcony that faces the seaside which makes winter night viewing in Iceland just on another level entierly.
The accommodation seemed old, but it was in good condition.
The only downside was that the bathroom didn't drain properly.
It's fine for a short overnight stay.
The shower was so tiny; the shower head is not adjustable so my hair got wet every time I got in the shower, the shower curtain clung to my body, and the water got all over the bathroom floor. The blow dryer worked for 60 seconds and then needed to charge for a full minute before using it again. The two single beds pushed together were not comfortable - I could feel the springs; however the pillows...
Near the beach. Caught northern lights just outside hotel opposite the road. Freezing cold, windy but worth all the effort when northern lights appears .
I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was my second time here, which really says it all. Once again, everything was excellent from start to finish. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is ideal, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Great location in Laugavegur near bus #14 10 minutes drop
The church is 5 minutes away
Great location, friendly staff. Ideal.

Nice hotel. Decent price. Well located. Breakfast available but we didn't.
There was no vegetarian breakfast or warm/hot breakfast available, close to places
I had a really nice stay at this hostel in Iceland. The location was great and it was easy to get around. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm, which was perfect after spending the day outside exploring.

Despite the hotel’s somewhat unpreposessing location in the middle of what appears to be an industrial estate, we did enjoy our stay in room 501 here. Points of note- The hotel is approximately 2 miles from the centre of Reykjavik. So prepare to walk, hire a car or make use of taxis etc. We were told the hotel has no reception desk-and we never did see or find one. You need to contact them in advance...
No reception but they emailed us with the code to get in and the code to our room which all worked fine, no lift, main light not working but that didn’t bother us much as we had the big windows so there was plenty of daylight, didn’t see any cleaners, bad smell from hot water was everywhere in Iceland so no just this hotel, bathroom door didn’t close but other than that everything was clean and done...
The rate of experience definitely is dar better than the pat review. The hotel just need to focus of micro detail of booking such as breakfast , the capsule given for the coffee maker machine should be compatible . But above all , the experience is really comforting as the hotel names as. The room is well renovated, Their in house geo soap is great smell and relaxing. The shower is of good high standard...
Not a bad location just make shaw you get the bus save some money 🤣
Very easy to do the self check-in. I just wish there was an elevator but it wasn't too bad bringing my bag up the stairs. Very nice room.

The rooms are modest, the bathroom is nice and clean and has a modern rainfall shower. The receptionists are really friendly and helpful! We were a bit early for check in but they helped us register and let us park the car in the hotels parking lot.
4* in location because it's easier to drive to downtown than walk, less than 10 minutes.... parking close to the church is cheap enough.
Lovely staff, the room is excellent, enough space for three of us.
We enjoy the breakfast, good variety but it's the same thing everyday, but that's no problem for us.
Nice clean, modern hotel about 20 minutes walk from the attractions of Reykjavik. There are some nice restaurants close by especially Olifa pizza restaurant, there's a Netto supermarket a couple of minutes walk away. Decent breakfast and nice friendly staff. This was a great hotel. The staff here are excellent and treat their guests as excellent as well. The rooms are big. This is a self-service hotel, so there's no front desk. However, the facilities are brand new, and the room isn't small. It even has its own parking garage, which makes for a very comfortable stay. The location isn't in the city center, but it's not far either – about a seven or eight-minute drive. Getting around is super convenient, as there's a bus stop right downstairs. Definitely recommended.
This is a self-check-in hotel. The breakfast is simple but filling, and the environment is quite nice. There's a parking lot, but you need a code to enter.

A classically modern hotel. The rooms do feel a little tight but enough to move around. The staff is very accommodating and easy to work with.
Hotel itself is on a strange one way that Google Maps has a hard time directing to. Visited here in mid February so it was quiet and lots nearby to walk to. There are a lot of nearby bars and restaurants so I could see this being a popular spot.
Staff was wonderful. Helped us book fly us to airport and held our bags for us. Room was amazing! I would def stay here again if I return to Iceland. Close to everything downtown and the restaurant was so good. We had dinner and breakfast there!
The Apotek Restaurant has a great breakfast menu. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff Service is excellent.
The staff was attentive and the hotel was clean as was the room and bathroom. It is at a great location within walking distance from bus stops and shopping and some of the important sightseeing locations. The breakfast spread is really good and the hotel’s restaurant food is simply amazing.
The reason I can’t give a 5 because the room itself was small though, we had a double twin-bed room, there...
The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. It's well located close to bus stop 2 for drop off from the bus terminal, but also very walkable as well. It's also centrally located to the main shopping area with plenty of restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this Apotek hotel and would stay here for future visits.
The staff was great, rooms are very small and the hotel charges 50 euros for early check in. Breakfast is ok, not great.
