Reykjavik, Laugavegur, 105 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The front staff were friendly and always available. The room and all bedding were clean. The bathrooms were of a public restroom style and the showers were in a locker room style. The kitchen area was a bit cramped for countertop space with no place to store non-refrigerated foods. The refrigerator was packed full and was hard to find room for my items. The location and price were great.
A good hostel/hotel. The students stayed in dorms which served the purpose and were clean with shared showers. Staff had comfortable rooms on the same floor or better rooms in the hotel above. Was a little crowded at one point as they had three big groups in, but they managed the breakfast sittings well. Good food in the packed lunches and for dinner was very good.
Very clean, pleasant accommodations. Staff was friendly, and helpful if you needed any sort of assistance. Great place to stay, walking distance to most shops and bars with one inside of the Hostel itself. I would definitely stay there again, but would probably inquire into getting a private room.
The location is really great - walking distance to the city center, but also one of the main stops for any tours/excursions that include ground transportation. Beds were clean and comfy though the photos online make the (hostel) rooms look a bit more luxury than they actually are. The bathrooms (specifically the showers) were not great - tiny shower stalls with vinyl curtains that you have to try not...
The lobby, bar, bistro and lounge areas are wonderful. But the rooms, kitchens, bathrooms are yucky. At least four outlets in the 12 bed room didn't work. At least two of the bed lamps didn't work. The kitchen was a dirty disaster from people being pigs and not cleaning up properly. There were fabric seat cushions in the kitchen that we're practically black with stains and grime. There was a two person...
The staff were incredibly kind helpful, I arrived 8 hrs too early for check in and they let me stay in the socializing room while I waited for a bed and allowed me to store my things if I had wanted to leave. The entire place is clean and it’s got a great community feel with pretty good social vibes. Was able to connect with people and get groups to travel with and go out with. The bar is nice but...

not a very good experience with this hotel due to facilities and service provided.
we were caught up in a storm causing us to miss the first night of our check in. tried to ask for cancellation but not allowed, which was fair enough. And since we had to check out before 7am the next day, we asked if we can get 6 sets of breakfast to go (free breakfast included in our stay). Our request was declined...
I think the hotel is a bit old with no dry and wet separation, but good location and nice staff there.
Well located and only a short walk to the city centre-old town. Bathrooms/shower is too small for use. Beds are comfortable. limited services offered at the accomodation.
The hotel is within walking distance of the pedestrian street. There are parking spaces next to the hotel. It's a typical three-star hotel.
The hotel has a great location, close to the surrounding area, including supermarkets, and there's a shuttle bus nearby.
In Iceland, where hotel prices are extremely high, this is a decent place to stay. The location is good, the room is small but clean, and the heating is sufficient. However, the hotel door closes after 11 pm and is opened after guests ring a bell, but the front desk staff were asleep, which wasn't good for making guests wait outside in the cold for a long time.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Reykjavik, full of Icelandic character. The room was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be back when we next visit Iceland 🇮🇸
Great location, close to lots of restaurants and most of the main tourist sights - but on a reasonably quiet road so you feel out of the city centre. Very good service and helpful staff. Great choice of food for breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend!
Great location, within walking distance to the church, and they have their own free parking. The room was small, the bedding wasn't very clean, and there were no power outlets by the bed, only USB ports, which was inconvenient.
This is an old school hotel full of charm. We had junior suite. The room was a bit old but really beautiful. The rooms have physical keys rather than cards to show how old. The location is close to most of the good sights. Lastly our 4th floor room had a great view of the city.
The hotel was in a fantastic location and rooms were really comfortable and quiet. Would highly recommend
Hotel Holt is an elegant, well-located property in a central yet quiet area of Reykjavik, making it convenient to explore most of the main attractions on foot. The atmosphere is definitely one of its strengths: the hotel features many works of art, which make it distinctive and pleasant, especially in the common areas. The rooms are clean and tidy, although the décor feels somewhat dated and could...

There are many choices for a hotel stay in Reykjavík. We are so grateful to have chosen the Kvosin Hotel. Our room was spotless, spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. We chose the “bigger room” category and found the kitchenette a welcome surprise. Fantastic location for accessing attractions and food in town and also for transportation options. “Bus stop 1” is just a few steps away and serves...
Absolutely perfect. Great experience here with a very centrally located property. It was stylish, clean, comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this location for any visit to Reykjavik.
Amazing services and the staff was very helpful and really nice throughout our stay thank you again and will definitely try to book if we come back here again :)
Lovely hotel in the perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. Walkable to everything. The hotel was immaculate, the room was great and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was awesome! Bring your own conditioner if you use that because they only give you shampoo and you only get liquid bath gel so also bring soap if you like that instead. And we could see the Northern Lights from our balcony one night...
We stayed 3night with the family. Clean and spacious room, staff are very nice, easy to parking,we loved stay there.

Good hotel, quite centrally located, with ample parking right on site. I really enjoyed the breakfast, but the seating there was a bit awkward – you sit too low and it's too soft.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Muli. Patricia, who checked us in on 1st January, was very kind and helpful. After arriving on an early-morning flight, it was really nice to be greeted with a smile. Even better, our room was ready, so we were able to check in early.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. One thing to note is that housekeeping is done upon request, so you’ll need to ask if you want...
The hotel room was clean and spacious, with enough room to open multiple suitcases. It included breakfast and complimentary hot drinks available at all times. There was also a dining area with utensils. The location is a bit far from the city center, but easily accessible by bus.
Very strong smell of chlorine when entered the room including chlorine smell on the towels. No cleaning services or bed sheet changing ( we stayed 2 nights ), the receptionist told us it's the policy and if we would like it changed we should go get the bed sheet/towels they provided by ourselves which was not mentioned when checked-in or when we booked. Breakfast was very basic. Despite the good location...
Luckily, there was parking available right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water and heating. Breakfast was excellent, and drinks were provided in the common area. Everything was great, except for getting a bit lost initially trying to find my way with the elevator directions.

Great location. Walking distance to the Rainbow Road & the church. However, our room had a pretty bad smell from the sink/bathroom. Pretty noisy at night(til 2am) from the restaurant bar across the hotel.
Lovely overall experience.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The general hotel design is beautiful and modern and the rooms are cozy and very clean, with comfortable beds and modern showers. My only point here would be that the rooms might need a bit of refreshing (like a new paint for the walls for example).
However, wonderful overall stay and delicious breakfast.
Would definitely come...
As you enter the hotel you can obviously see that they are seeking for money. No kettle or spresso machine in the room (you have to pay around 20€ daily if you want them) , no water in the fridge at all , a list of the prices of all the products in the room ( such as blankets and condoms and some toothbrushes and etc.) hidden in the cabinet! Each hour of late checkout costs 50€ .
The room is nice...
Great location and helpful staff but the rooms have not been slept in by anyone running this hotel - and therefore aren’t well designed. No light switches or sockets by the bed (in fact only one set of sockets under the desk and the window on the floor so you have to properly get down on hands and knees!) other than that the toilet doesn’t have a proper door and the shower is just behind a glass panel...
The room, the staff (especially Abraham) , everything was perfect.
We found our room to be typical of most European hotels. Minimalist, no storage, and no door on the bathroom. That means when you turn on the light to use the restroom in the middle of the night, it lights up the entire room. Tha room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel is in a convenient location close to the city center. Service is fine and generally meets basic expectations. The room is clean and comfortable. However, the cooking facilities are not very practical, so guests who plan to prepare meals may find it a little inconvenient.
Everything was so good! I love the space , was so clean and the food thank you definitely we coming back we had amazing experience.
The location is amazing in the middle of the shopping, dining, supermarkets, bus stops etc. Room is not large but has everything one needs. Loved the kitchenette, access to coffee, towels, and kitchen needs. Room was clean, modern and includes a small dining table. We enjoyed the bar downstairs when it was open. Hope we can afford this place if we ever to Iceland!
Everything about this place was great! Loved the room, and the location was perfect. Great place to stay.
Everything was fine but no one knew where it’s no sign out side. Even the police car was right out side apartments. But she didn’t not know. .
This was a nice place for a few days stay. The only problem we ran into is that it’s challenging to get in touch with anyone should you need anything.
We needed more coffee pods and garbage bags, and neither of which were restocked in the hall cabinet.
The best part was the breakfast bag. I was really impressed by the quality of the items included. 2 buns, 2 croissants, cheese, butter, apples and...

Convenient location to most places. Clean and friendly staff. Supermarket next door, very convenient. Airport bus stop 9 is closest.
The location is super convenient, and the room facilities are very clean and hygienic.
The location is very convenient, with a Little Pig supermarket downstairs.
The reception staff were friendly, the room was clean, and there was a view of the landmark church from the window.
Storage space was a bit limited, especially in winter when I had a bunch of coats and gloves.
The room is a good size, very clean, warm comforter, nice TV, clean bathroom.
But! Poor lighting, no in-house telephone, no instructions for remote.
But, the receptionist young man is full of information, very well spoken, and took care of my needs.
The breakfast, an avocado toast, and coffee were excellent. So good!
I would recommend the hotel as its location is super.
Great location and near the rainbow street . Next to Bonus mart . Ideal for short trips.
The location is convenient. There is a Xiaozhu supermarket downstairs. It is close to bus stop No. 9, which is convenient for local tour groups to gather and pick up. The room is clean. The counter staff provides early check-in service, but the room lighting is a little dim.

The best hotel if you're going to Reykjavik. In front of the main church. It was a wonderful experience. A quiet, comfortable, and clean place with a decent breakfast for the price. Last but not least, we want to highlight Leonardo's kindness; he helped us with everything we needed, always with a wonderful portuguese smile ;)
Thank you!
I really liked staying at this hotel. I stayed on the 4th floor to get the larger room. The other reviews are correct, the slant ceiling is no joke. This is not a room for tall people. The bathroom shower is also very tight. There is also no elevator so consider your packing. With that said, the staff is amazing. Someone is always available, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast is fantastic...
Currently here with my daughter and she'd like to move in. Lol. We are in the west building facing the church. The location is great and there's a free parking lot across the road. Because we came in from Canada our sleep times are way off, but the black out curtains helped a lot. The road noise can be a bit high but it didn't affect us at all. It's a corner room so we get a lot of people outside taking...
Good Place, just infront of the church
Excellent location.
Brilliant staff, nothing was too much trouble for them.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, although there was tea, coffee and hot chocolate available on demand in the downstairs bar... not really convenient in the middle of the night.

Amazing staff & hospitality. Can’t say enough how the front desk went above and beyond for my wife and I. 10/10 and would def recommend a stay here.
Great location, near all restaurants and shops
The room was superb and clean.
Parking wasn’t ideal at all, we had to park 5-10 mins away.
City hotel, street noise, but no restaurant, room service or hotel bar or lounge. Interesting neighborhood and nice room.
Parking was a little confusing but after we figured out where the lobby was and how to get to it we were fine.
Just had a 3-night stay at ION City. Staffs were all friendly and amazing. Location is in the core downtown tourism area of reykjavic so that could be pro or cons depending on what you like. Nice hotel in an ideal location in downtown close to the shops in Laugavegur and bus stops. Reception was friendly and were helpful to answering any questions or requests we had during our stay. Fantastic hotel in a great location, fantastically placed for the bus stops, the shopping in town or the nearby supermarket. Farooq was a great host, incredibly friendly and fantastically knowledgeable on all things Iceland even though he hails from West Yorkshire. We stayed in room 505 so was a bit away from any street noise, highly recommend and would definitely stay again
Second visit to this hotel. It maybe not the fanciest of hotels or the biggest, but the staff, location and cleanliness make this hotel fantastic. The room was great! The staff were very helpful and we were able to get an early check in since our flight landed at 7am. Hotel was very quiet and nice! Definitely worth a try!
Room was great. It would be great if the rooms were as updated as the lobby area. The rooms are a little dated and thr hallways leading to the rooms have the grandma's house smell, but overall it was good. I'd come back.
Everything was fine; just a hotel to sleep while you are vacationing, nothing special.
Stay at Hotel Iceland Comfort was pleasant. Price of accommodation very acceptable. Room neat, clean and comfortable. Receptionist extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent but a little on the expensive side.

The official website advertised luggage storage, but it wasn't available, completely disrupting my travel plans. The staff's service was also very poor. The location is remote, with no proper roads for loading and unloading luggage; I had to carry heavy luggage up stairs covered in snow. However, the room was beautifully decorated, the heating was good, and the bathtub was nice.
Very cool, quiet place. Downtown is a 20 minute drive away. 40 to Thingavellir park. There's no reception, but check-in was easy. Bed and pillow were comfortable (subjective). Hot tub was great since it was snowing. We had a great time.
This was WAY overpriced for what it was. I didn't expect it to be so close to the freeway. The windows weren't even see through. This honestly felt like a scam
Stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 in the Krafla Dome. Lovely experience, nice and cosy and well equipped. Hot tub needed topped up with water and 2 men came within 5-10 minutes after I phoned and topped it up. Would definitely recommend a stay here, it was a nice way to end our busy 4 days exploring this beautiful country.
I was expecting rustic but at least thought it would have a door. Nice place, good bed, warm. Wood stove even though we found out wood is a premium in iceland.
Clean room, amazing views, comfy beds. We enjoyed the extra touch of champagne and macaroons left for us. Coffee was also there, no need to purchase and bring with you. The code entry for the door worked well. And hreyfill taxi service knows how to get you to and from the Domes and Reykjavik. Be sure to schedule with the taxi the night before you want to leave to avoid a wait.

This is a good boutique hotel with rooms that give a quality feel. Excellent shower and balcony that added to my stay after enjoying my adventures in Iceland, I knew I would come back to a warm and clean room. The Breakfast was a great way to start your day. The only tiny issue was a loud door closing in the corridor due to a heavy spring closure. Great staff.
Excellent hotel, great views, and attentive service.
I was looking for an affordable hotel in Iceland, where prices are high, and I ended up here. The room was so small that I had to sleep on the bed, but the bed and linens were comfortable enough to help me relax and recover from my fatigue.
2-night stay
The location is great and the downstairs bar is excellent. The breakfast is good but a bit hit and miss with some items. Coffee is excellent! The basic rooms are very small, so if with two suitcases gets cramped. Staff is lovely.
Good Spot
Clean room and property. The front desk was very helpful and patient with our many questions about the area.

Overall: A generally sweet boutique hotel with excellent location. Glad that they had a room available for immediate check-in, given our long flight. Morgenmaden var to go. Køkkenet var ikke fuldt udstyret men fint. Dejligt med cookies og kaffe gratis.
Great location and within walking distance of a lot of stuff!
Only complaint is the room was slightly dirty upon arrival. The housekeeping left behind used cleaning towels, a glove IN the toilet bowl, and the shower had stuff from the previous people left behind.
We did get breakfast down the street through the hotel each morning which was great!
Breakfast was good, maybe the best part of this property. Shower was old and gross. Guest room and breakfast room are very dark. Probably by keeping it dark, they can hide some dirtiness of the property? There’s a reason why it’s super affordable compared to other places around the area.
