Good break in a quiet location but is still close to other towns and the beach with a local supermarket 10 mins walk away
Stayed here for a week, on the whole a nice stay. Positives - Staff & Service excellent, lovely pool area with pool bar that serves good but basic bar food, rooms good, clean & tidy
This was a very good and relaxing holiday. You have to Relax and let the time go by. The Bar is small but you can find the best nibbles and good Alcohol. We came last year 2024 and this year 2025 and have just arrived
I will surely try to make it as well next year
The pool is very well kept with a beautiful view on a large territory with beautiful plants. We had a queire and the receptionists were very helpful in sorting it out
We enjoyed our stay in Villagio Alkantara. We stayed in the room number 143. The rooms are pretty basic but very well kept clean and cosy with great air conditioner. The fridge is also a very nice bonus
The pool is nice, although not large, and the room we got was a suite with a handy little kitchen, and a nice view of the western sky for sunsets. However, I could see some other rooms were not as well located
We used bicycles to get around the island, there was a lovely beach with a good bar about 5 mins ride down the road. There is also a small supermarket about 5-10 mins walk which had everything in it
Lovely resort that is walking distance to both the Sea Club (see separate review) and the city center. The staff was professional, courteous and eager to make our stay unforgettable
Because all the rooms conveniently surround the swimming pool, if it is loud, you hear it
great out of season. brilliant location. suite was superb.
Having booked directly on the resort's website, we had no trouble accommodating our large group with its varied dietary needs. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience that has made a lasting impression
I am sure they are tired of tourists, but I am an Italian native that only spoke italian to them and it still felt like we were a burden to be there. The pool and tennis area was extremely dated and dirty
The location and grounds are beautiful with many nice outdoor seating areas. We had a problem with the lack of sound proofing in our room
We very much enjoyed the sea access but would be weary with children as it can be rough (they have a wonderful pool option)- for adults there was no concern!
Staff was helpful!
Amazing property , five star view and beautiful private beach , got most expensive room with private beach front balcony , must go back for Linger stay . True five star vacation if getting this room .
Gorgeous view from our balcony.
The private beach was the best part! Easy taxi ride to the center and the hotel calls for you. Nice staff!
The sea view from the restaurant and the room is lovely. The terrace is pretty and lit at night. The hotel decor is very dated and makes the rooms feel dingy but they are very clean. The sun lounges are basic and plastic
A hidden gem by the sea! 🌊
Beautiful view from the room, private beach with all comforts, and super kind staff
Perfect location, super nice view on the beach and the sea, direct hotel access to the beach though a nice palm garden, rooms with some patina, breakfast minium original Italian style,
Loved the small touches, like beach towels, slippers, and even a free beach bag at the end! The on-site restaurant was delicious, and parking was easy. Great value for money and total relaxation
Great location, private beach. Our room provides a spetecular view of the sunset. Very efficient bathroom design. Breakfast selections could use a bit improvements.
Very nice hotel, staff is amazing very helpfull. You can enjoy rich-choice breakfast in morning with a view of beautiful sea view.
Great hotel with the best location directly on the sandy beach

Our cleaner was INCREDIBLE - every time we went for breakfast our room was spotless by the time we came back !! She was wonderful !! The girls on reception couldn’t have been more lovely - and the young man working the bar was fabulous too…
We had booked a room with a lateral sea view and were given a small room with a not so nice view
From the minute we arrived we were SO well looked after. Everyone says ‘Buongiorno’ when they see you at reception, breakfast etc etc So happy and friendly
I really enjoyed my stay at Albatros Beach Hotel. I booked a sea-view room, which came with two balconies – one overlooking the beautiful ocean and the other with a view of the mountains
The staff are all friendly and helpful. Our room was a superior room with a lateral sea view and a balcony. We had tea and coffee making facilities. We found the room rather hot at night, aircon was not available
Brilliant small boutique hotel opposite beach, bars restaurants and all amenities within easy reach. Great location for taromina area sightseeing is easy from here

The outdoor pool area, wellness center, and indoor pool are simply magnificent — a true paradise of relaxation
The hotel is in the middle of the countryside, so arriving at night was interesting but not a problem. The hotel is very nice, the spa is the major draw. It is large, well appointed and has many different therapies
When we were there, the outdoor pool was closed (for the season). The hotel restaurant was also very nice - the breakfast spread was very nice, the lunch and dinner were similarly good. The portion sizes are pretty good
I ended up extending my stay to a full week, enjoying the pool, the gym, and the spa. What can I say — I want to return to Sicily! A special mention goes to the breakfast, where nothing is missing — from sweet to savory
I stayed here for a week in November. Impeccable service from reception till cleaning stuff. Delicious Sicilian food served at the restaurant. Huge portions!Spacious nicely decorated room with garden and Jacuzzi outside
The service can be offered in English and the stuffs are professional and kind. We enjoyed the Sun a lot in the afternoons outside next to the pool
My partner and I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of September. We really like the pool, outdoor space, and steps down to a private bathing and swimming area (it's not a beach) with loungers
The pool area had plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas but also wasn’t too crowded. The hotel had a small bar/food outlet alongside the pool
We also loved the swimming pool and the direct access to the private beach, which made the stay even more relaxing
Breakfast was a buffet served on a terrace with sea views, although the choice was perhaps a little limited compared with other venues. Staff are friendly and helpful
Absolutely unforgettable stay! The location is breathtaking, and the service exceeded all expectations. Fabio, the bartender, crafted the most amazing drinks with a warm and friendly touch that made every evening special
Both receptionists, Cicci, were incredibly helpful and made us feel instantly at home. The rooms are set for renovation soon, and once updated, this hotel will undoubtedly be the crown jewel of the Eolie Islands
The unit itself had a small kitchen which would have been nice if we were there long, a bedroom with 3 twin beds and when you walk in, that also was a bedroom with a double (really 2 twins together with a sheet over them)
The bathroom was ok - not super clean (ants on the floor) and the shower drain did no such thing. We used all the towels to soak up the flooded floor because there is nothing in the bathroom floor for that
Breakfast was some croissants that when we went 30 min after it opened were 80% gone and after sitting there for 10 min were never filled back up so we left without eating. That was pretty disappointing
That was the best part of the place and we were only able to use it long enough to get some photos before we had to check out to go to work
So-so
Photos are not super accurate. It has an RV park area, a camping area as well as the units
Stayed here unexpectedly for 4 nights when flight was delayed

Location was very good close to the centre and right opposite the pedestrianised sea front. Staff were good, pool was nice and generally a pleasant stay.
Hotel has no wi fi as stated on website. Staff friendly but just a so-so place. On seawall but in very poor part of town. Many buildings deserted and run down. The casbah is about a 20 minute walk away
Mahara sits at the edge of the Mediterranean, along Lungomare Mazzini, a quite busy seawalk promenade. It's a large compound, with a large courtyard, used for the open air restuarant-bar
The Mahara is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location and the staff are excellent from housekeeping to the front desk , the restaurant staff and groundskeeping. The view of the sea is beautiful
Lovely hotel but it was a pity the pool wasn't open. However, the pool is not available until May. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is very clean and there is a good choice of food for the buffet breakfast
Very nice place and location definitely worth the staff is very nice and helpful the rooms and the whole place is very clean,i was there for 1 week in April and definitely would love to go back this summer is very close to train station and the center
Spacious and clean rooms, jumbo bed and great breakfast. Located in a quiet area, although it is just opposite the train station, which is not busy at all. Not far off from the city centre by walk
However, the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and changed our room immediately without any hassle. We were highly satisfied with the service and the overall quality of the staff
We had a great stay at this hotel. When we first arrived, our assigned room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was a big issue for me since I am pregnant
We were transferred to this hotel due to a problem with our booking elsewhere. The hotel rooms were excellent (we had 3 rooms all with sea facing large balconies)
A nice big hotel (which is rare for Italy). The hotel has free parking out front and is right across from the beach
The sea facing rooms are lovely .
The STANDARD rooms are small with the worst views I’ve ever seen …. You can almost touch the laundry lines on the building opposite.
I’m not exaggerating. !
Lighting in corridors poor and in some cSes switched off. Furniture worn, badly in some cases. Location very good opposite the beach
Week-end in relax!
The staff were exceptional !! Every one of them was helpful and happy and went out of their way to serve us - i can honestly say the best crew i have ever met in a hotel
Lovely hotel with a private, quiet beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant extremely good. The local area has many lovely towns and Butera is definitely worth a trip for the views
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The buffet was excellent. The only downside was no handrail getting into and out of the pool. That would've been appreciated.
We visited the Valley of the Temples which is under an hour away and there are plenty of other beaches to head to should you want to
What a beautiful and peaceful resort! All the staff were very friendly and understanding to our requests as a whole group with young children and tried to accommodate us as much as possible! Thank you!!! We were on a b&b basis; the rooms were very clean and spacious, breakfast was always fresh and plentiful
We just returned from a week long family holiday, with a group of friends with kids at Falconara
There is a big pool with lots of chaises and umbrellas and a beach area with the same. Breakfast & dinner (optional but there is little else in the immediate area) are more than adequate
Fresh, adbundant buffet breakfast served every morning with a good cappuccino (or other type) freshly brewed.
Just at 20 steps from a coral color water beach
This very good hotel and service as well. I come here with my husband and they give us room with balcony right in front of the beach
Room was clean, great balcony, great location across from beach and staff was wonderful and helpful
Great location, friendly staff and close to beach and town.
why that special? Because you can enjoy coffee and watching a lot of white birds and aircraft both landing or take off due to hotel very near with the airport
Property was very well maintained, staff were extremely helpful

Wonderful
It was my second time there: Wonderful location, quiet while close to everything, great breakfast, and wonderful staff.
When I asked the one front desk staff for a little help with the machine, at her convenience, this employee was quite short, rude. She slammed the washer door and told me loudly that I did not do anything correctly
Spectacular
A fantastic accommodation: You wilkhave your own parking spot in front of your unit, which a great plus. Great staff, breakfast, and location. Thank you
The room is clean and the breakfast was sufficient with many choices. This hotel promotes a laundry room with one washer, one dryer, which is very nice and convenient
I don't think this service should be offered at all as I found it inconvenienced the staff on duty. Just take down the sign offering the laundry room service
I thanked her loudly and did my laundry in a very cluttered housekeeping room. This was a terrible example of offering good hospitality to a traveler
There are lots to do for couples and families. Two lovely private beaches with sun beds and umbrellas great pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and in the near distance Cefalù
The property is just 7 km from Cefalù and has two small pebble beaches, equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers/deckchairs, good restaurant and bar service, showers, changing rooms and restrooms
The beach is accessible via convenient flights of stairs and can be reached in less than 3 minutes. There are no beach surcharges: first come, first served, subject to availability
Family Quadruple Room available: with a double bed plus 2 bunk beds. Restaurant: The hotel has a simple, linearly furnished dining room with unassigned tables, but seating is relatively quick for lunch or dinner
- Gym: Reserved for guests from 7 am to 7 pm in a dedicated area adjacent to the pool equipped with obsolete but basic Technogym equipment, missing dumbbells for training and some machines in need of overhaul, but in the context you can work out if you have no major expectations
With "All Inclusive", you can request draft beer, sambuca, limoncello, gin and tonic, coffee machine, cappuccino and unlimited fruit juice - Swimming pool: The Resort has an adult swimming pool with an adjacent children's pool (the depth varies up to 4
Very particular hotel but with swimming pool and beach included. Better to have a car, it is located in a somewhat peripheral area
The door of the room is unique and big enough. The service is nice. It is close to the airport and train station. It is the best choice for a one-day trip to Catania via Taormina. The breakfast is also very good.
Beautiful hotel, cared for in every detail.
Clean and quiet rooms.
As a 5-star hotel, it's a bit dated and needs updating. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, varied, and delicious. Friendly staff.
Rustic decor is impressive. Gound is outstanding. Facilities a bit dated. Very convenient for airport.

The pools were clean and warm, never crowded and despite the hotel being apparently nearly full there was never any difficulty getting sunbeds
Lots of greenery, 2 swimming pools, free barking, good service, good size room, comfortable bed, good toilet and shower. Nice balcony, efficient A/C and refrigerator. Staff are wonderful and helpful
Swimming pools were too cold, no good dining options but many good restaurants around. No expresso machine in room, no ironing in room. In room Safe box charged 2 euros per day!!!
Beautiful hotel in gorgeous location next to the beach, walking distance to piazza and Marina
Agata our maid was fantastic! The nicest lady I've ever met, cleaned our room daily, changing towels, fresh toiletries, helped me get mozzi spray when local supermarket sold out! Dario on reception was also wonderful, so helpful giving us map to tour area, very professional, friendly, always welcoming
The beach associated with the hotel was good value for sunbeds plus parasol and the sandy beach and shallow sea were both clean and very nice

- The spa facilities are top notch and we loved our spa experience
- The dinner at Cala Luna was spot on
- The facilities of beach and pool are indicative of its 5 star status - definitely has everything
- Lots on offer for breakfast; ingredients were fresh and I could order hot meals off menu which was much appreciated
Just a couple of points;
- During the second evening of my stay I noticed that...
That said, the standout feature was the quality of the customer service - every single member of staff couldn't do enough for us and could be 100% relied upon when it came to booking taxis, restaurant tables, etc
We felt very well taken care of from the moment we stepped on the property. Very beautiful and updated. Nice 1-mile walk to main Cefalu area or shuttle service offered. Unique and very quiet hotel.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's a very nice hotel with excellent, well-maintained facilities and restaurants that are very good value for money
The staff are so helpful and the service is amazing.
The breakfast is plentiful and tasty.
We had a wonderful time at this gem of a hotel.
We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful oceanside resort. Everything was five star - service, food, lodging, property.
Hotel ok, no one speak english so it was quite hard for us sometimes. Really close to the beach. Breakfast ok but limited. Mini bar empty.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed
I absolutely loved this place — the staff were incredibly friendly and professional, the food was absolutely delicious, and your lovely, attentive manager, Teona, made everything even better
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities provided. The location was perfect, close to the main attractions and easy to get around
Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely come back again!
I would highly recommend the hotel excursion to the historic town of Noto, with its impressive Baroque architecture
Location: One of the hotel's greatest assets is its prime location. Situated just a 5-minute walk from the beach, it allows guests easy access to the beautiful Sicilian coastline
The hotel has a great location, about a 10-minute walk from Cefalu train station, and a 5-minute walk from the beach. It's also very quiet at night.
The hotel is a 4-minute walk from the train station, making it ideal for train travelers. This was my second stay at the hotel, and I was still very satisfied
My favorite part was the walk to the beach where we booked chairs and enjoyed a lovely beach day! The main city center is about a 10 - 15min walk which some might not prefer - but I enjoyed our quiet relaxing stay here
Clean and comfortable room, good location near beach and train station.
The location is good, just next to the main street, 200 meters from the beach, 15 minutes walk from the main church, there is a great pasta nearby, the room is spacious, the bathroom is also large and very clean, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is not bad, free parking, the service staff is warm and lovely, a hotel I like very much
