We enjoyed our stay here with no issues. They are very nice and accommodating tomorrow stays. They leave a bag on your door every day with a fresh bath towel, coffee and cup for the coffee maker; and you can use that bag to leave your used towel items to put outside your door for them to pick up. I think that is a great system.
The room was cozy and just enjoy for my husband and I. He especially...
Likes:
- Excellent location in Gion; right by the Gion bus stop; lots of places to eat/shop; a few steps away from the Yasaka Shrine and other landmarks
- They give cute little things like a foldable comb and a nice wash towel (which I never got in any other hotel)
- There's a press for pants on every floor
- Water is replenished daily
- Coffee is Starbucks Dolce pods
- Comfy beds and nice pillows...
One of the better APA hotels we have stayed at. We were originally in a smoking room. But they were able to switch us to a non-smoking room. We were very pleased with the rest of our stay there. Great location all in all and close to everything in the area.
Staff were amazing, amenities are great, location is FANTASTIC!
2 nights stay with a toddler.
I gave it 3 stars because of its great location, price, and the staff (really helpful and kind).
I would’ve rated it less otherwise.
The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable,
And room really small.
Honestly I don’t recommend it if you have kids.
It’s OK otherwise but only for a short stay.
Great location, good price, quiet. In need of little refresh but did the job. I would recommand if on budget in the city.

We cannot complain this hotel is perfect for travelers who want comfortable Western-style accommodation in Kyoto with easy transport access.
Also visitors planning to explore the city (walking + subway/bus).
May be less ideal if you prioritize luxury boutique vibes or expect top-tier spa/amenity experiences.
This was my boyfriend’s first time visiting Japan, and we came to Kyoto for sightseeing. The hotel staff were kind, and at check-in they upgraded us to a room on a newly renovated floor. The room was very spacious for two people, and the view from the room was amazing.
Even for me, living in Tokyo, the interior design and the hospitality of the staff really made me feel the true essence of Kyoto,...
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room faced the castle directly which provided a unique experience and enjoyable for people watching. We absolutely loved the bathroom layout and how spacious it was!
The area is very quiet and tranquil. The train station is located nearby and easy to get to with several restaurants in the area.
The hotel is located in the city center, directly opposite the tourist attraction Nijo Castle. It is relatively quiet despite being in a lively area. It is close to a subway station. There aren’t many shops nearby, but there are a ramen restaurant, cafe/bar, and a 7-11 as well.
The hotel building is relatively old, but it is well maintained. The renovated rooms in particular feel quite modern and...
The hotel room we were assigned was nothing like what’s shown in the pictures on Trip.com.
It was old, dimly lighted and amenities were really poor.
There wasn’t even a charging point on one side of the bed.
On the other, there was an extension adaptor that was fixed on the bedside table.
It looks really makeshift and was probably not very safe.

The hotel had a great feel throughout, and they offered complimentary iced water, which was a nice touch. However, the price was quite high during my stay, and then it dropped by half right after I checked out. That left me feeling like I didn't get the best value for money, but despite that, the hotel itself is excellent.
The Karasuma subway line is super close, making it incredibly convenient to get to Kyoto Station. There's a proper supermarket nearby, not just a convenience store, and a KAMO shop. It's also not far to walk to the lively Kawaramachi Sanjo area. The room has a window that opens, and there's free water available. The location is quiet yet central, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. Kyoto Imperial...
The room was very spacious, and the location was excellent. Everything was within walking distance, including convenience stores and a nearby train station.
Nice area to with a lot of facilities… The hotel has a self laundry mate that helps a lot. Overall it was a nice experience stay with them.
I booked for two days, and the hotel was great. The front desk upgraded my room, and it's close to the subway station, which makes getting around super convenient. The hotel offers comprehensive services; I could get toiletries downstairs. There's even a scale, which is handy for when you head home. Everything was good. I've attached some photos of the surroundings – hope they make you want to visit...
The hotel offers complimentary skincare products on the first floor. However, the room facilities are a bit old, and not being able to open the window made it a bit stuffy. Breakfast was good, and the view from the first floor is also quite nice. They provide free umbrellas, which is convenient when it rains. For shopping, there's Shinfukan across the street, but other places require a 20-minute walk...

Super convenient, very close to Kyoto Station. The front desk offers complimentary mineral water and Sekkisei skincare products – just help yourself!
The hotel is conveniently located directly across from JR Kyoto Station, making it super easy to find. The room size was decent, especially for the king-size bed I booked, which I really liked. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, particularly for JR lines – no need to rush at all. The absolute highlight was the breakfast! There was such a wide variety, including sushi 🍣, various alcoholic...
The hotel's location is great, right near Kyoto Station, but following Google Maps can be a bit confusing as you have to go through B2. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The breakfast, in particular, was fantastic with a wide variety of choices and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
It's hard to put into words.
The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, which is convenient for getting around. However, the facilities are quite old.
The staff's attitude was pretty standard, neither warm nor cold.
But the Trip.com concierge and complaints department were excellent, really great!
The hotel room was spacious for Japan, and the location was excellent with convenient transportation. Our tour bus stopped right opposite the hotel entrance, and the bus to Daigo-ji Temple was also by the side entrance. There was even an airport bus stop right in front of the hotel, which was incredibly convenient.
Right next to the busstop where the airport limousine bus is. Free amenities and water daily.

The environment is nice, and public transportation is right outside, making shopping convenient. There are plenty of food stalls and various duty-free shops nearby. The front desk service was excellent! The only downside is that it's a bit pricey. 😄
Convenient location, has a bus stop just a few steps away and 24/7 supermarket
The room is small but well-equipped. The lobby downstairs has a cute little landscape display. There's a bus stop and a convenience store right downstairs, and a Life supermarket across the street, which is very convenient.
The room was very clean, compact as always, and the bathroom had a bathtub 🛁. The location is excellent; the bus stop downstairs goes to all the main attractions. Across the street, Xidong Cafeteria is a self-service restaurant, perfect for breakfast.
The room was definitely small, and the toilet remote wasn't working. The first day's cleaning was thorough, but it seemed like a different person cleaned on the second day as it was quite sloppy. There's a microwave in the lobby, and the hotel's location is excellent – right next to a bus stop, making it convenient to get anywhere.
Stayed for one night. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, with plenty of shops, large and small supermarkets, and restaurants nearby. The room was a bit small, and there was a slight odor in the bathroom.

It is a fantastic hotel that compare to all hotels during my trip in Japan. Newly opened and with excellent service. We did not expect to check in early but we had been told our room was ready when we have arrived 3 hrs early. 1 minute walk to JR station, Umekoji park and The Aquarium. I will definitely book again if I stay overnight in Kyoto.
Excellent location and hotel was incredibly clean. Highly recommended!
The hotel offers great facilities such as a public bath, laundry area, and on-site Family mart.
Convenience location, just one station from Kyoto station.
I will definitely stay here again next time.
I saw this hotel had a 4.7 rating on XC, but after staying there for two nights with my group, experiencing three different room types, I honestly don't feel it lives up to that score. It was definitely clean, and pretty close to the high-speed train station, which was convenient. The breakfast was decent, and the bathhouse was clean, but it felt a bit lacking in terms of amenities and features.
Extremely satisfied, this hotel offers great value for money. For someone with a bit of a潔癖 (germophobia), the overall environment was clean and tidy.

Don’t miss breakfast! It’s really good
Booked a triple room this time, and I'm really happy with the atmosphere here. It's super spacious! I slept very comfortably.
They offer complimentary drinks and coffee in the pantry until 11 PM.
There's a laundry room with a dryer available.
The complimentary skincare products are excellent; they're very moisturizing.
The service and cleanness needs to be improved. Parking slots are very limited.
We booked a triple room and a single room. While the single room can accommodate 2 adults, we recommend booking a double room for better comfort. The triple room was spacious.

First impression of the hotel wasn’t that positive. the hotel was having some renovation done in the lobby during my stay. As you stepped in the lobby door, a gush of smoking smells. The smoking room door is an automated door, and it was basically open as people was standing near the sensor.
