Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto Select, Kyoto1 / 27

Kyoto, 363 Naramono-cho, Shijo-dori Teramachi Nishiiru, Shimogyo-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto Select is well located, with easy access to nearby attractions. The area is not difficult to navigate, and travelling with luggage is convenient as most of the roads around the hotel are flat. The hotel looks fantastic both externally and internally. The design is modern and well maintained, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The service staff were great—friendly...
The hotel entrance is located on a small street off the main Kawaramachi road. The location is incredibly convenient; it's just a five-minute walk to Fujii Daimaru and Takashimaya. If you're coming from Osaka, you can get off at Karasuma Station and use the underground passage.
The location is excellent. There's a bar where you can exchange tokens for free drinks. The hot spring bath is also complimentary, which makes it good value for money.
Best hotel stayed in this Japan trip! Free coffee and refill drinking water in the lobby area at level 2 Given 4 coins total for 2 night stays to redeem drinks (wine, beer, sake, non alcoholic drink) at a bar Front counter staffs are friendly and can request to borrow umbrella on rainy days Shower is great too!
Extremely satisfied! It's perfect for family trips, with a very convenient location that offers easy access to both bus and subway. The hotel also provides complimentary soft drinks, which can be redeemed using special tokens given by the hotel.
Great hotel location within popular shopping spot..4 min walk to the famous nikishi market ..lot of shops around

The hotel room wasn't very spacious, so there wasn't much room for an open suitcase. However, there's a really large sofa by the window, which was perfect for keeping frequently used items handy, making shopping super convenient. There are also lots of great restaurants nearby. While it's not a luxury hotel, it's very clean and tidy, completely sufficient for a daily stay. It was much better than I...
Decent location, had many convenience stores and even a supermarket nearby and the hotel provided simple amenities. Hotel was also able to help arrange luggage delivery via airporter which is much cheaper than Yamamoto! Room was a decent size considering Japan, but would’ve love a bit more space for luggage. Bathroom had a small bathtub and the amenities provided were simple and nice. There were...
Very good manager and service. All staff speak English very well. Loved the free popcorn. Washing facilities are easy to use. The rooms are spacious for Japan. Enjoyed my stay.
The room size was just right, and the area around was very quiet. The self-check-in was convenient and quick, highly recommended! It's also close to the JR station and there are a few shops to browse.
Nice customer service and I will recommend booking if I plan to kyoto on next time.
The hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from four subway stations and a bus stop. There's also a 7-Eleven right outside (or some convenience store, I bought a lot of stuff to eat in my room every night). The location is pretty quiet, and the breakfast is quite plentiful. I recommend it!

Truly enjoyed my stay here! Really love the cozy and zen vibes and location was really good, directly opposite a mall with Uniqlo, GU and Loft. Amenties were provided in the lobby so you can help yourself to it anytime. Overall, a really comfortable stay and I’d come back again!
Overall is good and they have Refa for shower and hairdryer. My only complaint is the room is quite dark, not have enough light/lamp..
Excellent location, just a few steps and you're right on the hustle and bustle of downtown Kyoto. Room was clean. They have free coffee inside a quiet library. Staff was extremely helpful. I recommend
Excellent! The room is quite spacious, big enough to open a 30-inch suitcase. Downstairs, there's a lounge area with coffee, hot water, and a restroom, perfect for early risers to get everything sorted before heading out with friends.
It was really good to stay at Resol, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, the location was excellent- right in the middle of the high street- but the hotel itself served as a sanctuary and can I add, the scent when you walked in was heavenly- I even bought their signature essential oil. The hotel offers experiences for their guests, I watched a Maiko dance and practiced calligraphy with...
Excellent location, and the room was exactly as pictured - clean, comfortable, and tidy. This is my second stay here, and the service is still fantastic! The views are also beautiful. Overall, it's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

The location is absolutely perfect! For tourists, Shijo Kawaramachi is the best base. Love the Modern design of this hotel. Got a free upgrade.Very convenient location in the heart of shopping area
The location is spot on. It's incredibly handy for getting around, with everything right on your doorstep. You've got loads of shops and places to explore nearby, so you're never short of things to do😊 Brilliant ! housekeeping did a cracking job. Found some hair under the bed that wasn't vacuumed before checking in, didn't fully take all our rubbish. Decent place to stay at location wise but very small space for a family (especially in the "king deluxe room"). Only had 2 towels too despite there being 4 of us.
For Japan, the room was quite spacious.
Rooms small, but have what you need. Location is far from the sights, but easy to get to on many bus routes. Onsen on 9th floor never busy and perfect size for this hotel. Great price. Staff very friendly.
The hotel is quite a long walk from Kyoto Station; it took us about 20+ minutes on foot to get there. You could take the bus, but it doesn't really save much time. There's a good ramen shop right next to the hotel that even gave our child a toy. The room isn't huge, but there's enough space for luggage. The lobby downstairs offers free coffee, which I enjoyed every morning.
The experience there was nice. We spent 2 nights there and what I like is the Onsen and the service.
It is a comfortable and practical stay in Kyoto. It is two bus stops from the main station, making access simple and convenient. The staff are helpful and welcoming, always ready to assist with directions or requests. Rooms are small but clean and well maintained. Room service is prompt and reliable. Kyoto, Tatsumaecho, 605, rayon Kamigyo, 602-0912 Kioto, Prefektura Kioto, Yaponiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The location is a bit pricey. Nothing special, just average. Breakfast was so-so. Transportation is inconvenient. The hotel is in a quiet area, suitable for early risers.
It was a quiet and comfortable inn for a good rest. Apparently, it was located on the former site of the Mito Domain residence. However, there were no USB charging ports on the table or next to the bed, which was inconvenient.
The hotel is very close to the subway station, about ten minutes' walk away. There is a paid breakfast in the morning, which costs 1,750 yen per person, which is equivalent to a Chinese set meal. I personally think it is average. The hotel environment is good and relatively clean. There are coffee and tea bags in the hotel room.
The hotel is very well located in terms of being close to the imperial palace, the only drawback is that public transport is a 10-minute walk away, otherwise an incredible hotel. Also near the hotel there are some rubbish bins, something unusual in this country…
The location is near Kyoto Imperial Garden. It takes a few minutes to walk to the subway entrance, which is still a bit far, but the hotel has that old money feel. The service standard is there. You can ask for a room that is not on the side of the road. It is still pretty good. The keys are very retro, the bathroom is also very large, and the room is also very large. I just forgot to take a picture...
I took my dad out for a trip and booked the Garden Palace Hotel opposite the Kyoto Imperial Garden. The price for two people including breakfast was about 1,000 yuan per night. The hotel is about the same as the old four-star hotels in China. The room had a wonderfully calming Japanese-style interior. The lobby also maintained a strong Japanese aesthetic, making it the kind of hotel where you'd want to stay another night.
The hot tub on the first floor was a hit with kids, and the breakfast was a perfect Japanese meal. It also offered an experience of Japanese tatami culture. The price wasn't the best value, but overall it was acceptable.
Incredible! Large bathtub and spacious ryokan-style room!
The location is close to the station, and the facilities are clean. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The bedding was clean, and the breakfast was surprisingly good, with a decent selection. I'll definitely stay here again.
Very nice house, well maintained. Excellent value for money for Kyoto. Good central location close to transport to the main sites!
Very comfortable tatami, clean, free hot spring. I like it very much. It takes a long time to walk after getting off the subway. There is no subway station nearby. Other than that, it is very good.

I love this hotel. It’s modern but still Japanese. I didn’t realise when I booked a stair room that it would have a Japanese shoes off level around the bed - perfect mix of modern convenience and Japanese heritage. I also liked that it had real art. Felt like a place that a young Japanese person with taste would stay. One of the best small hotels I have stayed at, hope to be back.
It’s one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the entirety of Japan! The large space was a lovely change after being stuck in small accommodations and overall we fell in love with the decor as well. Staff were always so polite and helpful. It’s also right down the street from the market and other major shopping areas.
Room was great and the receptionist spoke really well English and made the experience super easy and awesome. Definitely will stay here again.
I really enjoyed my stay at Node Hotel. The place was beautiful and the service was top notch. I had dinner there, the food was exceptional, I really enjoyed my dinner.
Quite central, close to Nishiki Market and a few minutes' walk from several bus stations. The room is clean and comfortable, but very dark and humid. There are no windows that can be opened. They also have a restaurant, but it's located in the hotel reception area; when you're waiting for the elevator next to people having dinner, you feel a bit like you're in the way.
Unlike a regular business hotel, the room had a high ceiling like an open atrium.

The location is convenient, close to Kyoto Station. The room was clean, and the amenities downstairs were well-equipped. However, the room was a bit small, with the foot of the bed very close to the wall, making it difficult to open luggage.
The room was spacious and very clean. There's a laundry room on the first floor. All the disposable toiletries, including hair masks, are available for free. It's a five-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and there's a convenience store right downstairs. Getting around from here is super convenient! Plus, there's a Coco Ichibanya curry restaurant next door.
Loved the hotel location. Right next to Lawson, Avantis Mall and 5mins walk from Kyoto Station Hachijo East Exit. Easy for travelling around Kyoto. Room is decent size, I brought a 28inch luggage. Would stay here again if I return to Kyoto. Good value for money.
Easy transportation around. Close to metro station. Just 30 mins away to Arashiyama. Lawson, Family Mart are very close.
The hotel is located at the Hachijo East Exit. You'll see it right after crossing the street from McDonald's. There's a convenience store downstairs, and the breakfast is excellent and highly recommended. You can purchase breakfast when checking in, which is done via a self-service machine. Good modern Japanese hotel. Love it
Overall, we were very satisfied with the room! The location is very convenient, the facilities are complete, it's clean, and the service is excellent. Our plans changed last minute and we needed to switch room types, and the hotel quickly helped us resolve the issue! We're very pleased and will definitely stay here again next time we visit Kyoto.

abit of a walk, but mega shopping district nearby (10-15min walk), room could be a little cleaner (shower drain looked kinda rusty and yellow), but otherwise okay.
The location may not be top-notch, but it's walkable to the train station in the central area. Great service staff. Clean, big enough to open my 28-inch luggage. Recommended! 👍
At this price, what more could you ask for? For budget travelers, Smile Hotel is usually the go-to. It's small but has everything you need. It's really close to many of the main exhibitions for the Kyoto Photography Festival. You can take a bus to get to the Kamo River and the busier areas. Vert good, very near to station, what a cute dinosour receptionist
Right across the street from Kyoto Station's Hachijo East Exit. The bathroom and toilet are separate, which is great. The bathroom itself, with both a tub and a shower, is quite spacious for a Japanese budget hotel.
Raptor receptionists were awesome. Location is very very handy. Didnt get to the bar though. I loved this hotel in Kyoto, larger room than Tokyo for 3 single travellers was very handy. I would stay here again
Very close to Jr station, and right outside is a long-distance bus stop. The self-service check-in and check-out machines are super convenient. There are two dinosaur models at the front desk, which is quite interesting. Plus, there's a mall nearby that's great for shopping.

It was far from any station, about a 12-minute walk. It was also a bit far to call a taxi, and carrying heavy luggage was tiring.
Being a Toyoko Inn, there's nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The rooms are clean and the service is also excellent. The only downside is the location. It's a bit far from both JR Otsu Station and Keihan Biwako-Hamaotsu Station, so it might be a bit difficult if you have luggage or during hot or cold seasons. Nicely designed boutique hotel. Cannot comment on the food as we didn’t take this option but room was clean and practically designed. Staff very professional and friendly. Located well for good restaurant choices.
The room is on the smaller side, but the bed is incredibly comfortable. The breakfast offers a great variety, and the lobby lounge area is very cozy. Plus, there's a hot spring on B1 which, though not huge, is wonderfully relaxing. The location is super convenient for getting around, with easy access to transport and plenty of dining options nearby.
Love how it is located nearby Gion and tourist area.
The hotel is beautiful and well located, public bathroom issues also great. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. On the other side, room is too small. Automatic toilet has very bad smell and cannot get rid of that smell. Drying machines at the laundry are super dirty, after washing and drying, tons of dust on my clothes.
Right in Gion! Very convenient:) Loved the huge bed! This bed is probably the biggest I’ve seen in Japan 😂 Room was sufficient, they provided everything we needed, spacious enough to open two suitcases. The hotel provides snacks and coffee at the lobby. Nice!
