For its affordable price, the facilities are decent, and the service is surprisingly good. It's a great place to stay when you're traveling.

We stayed 2 nights and we got a nice room on the 11th floor. Rooms are large for Japan standard, you can have space for 2 big luggage’s on the floor. Upon arrival they offered us a drink and they have a nice lounge at the basement. Room is great, bathroom was quite moldy. Staff speak very good English and the location is amazing near the shopping street area and 2 stations from Kyoto station.

Good location. At the front of the hotel, there is a Family Mart and it is close to the train station. The area is so nice, and there are a lot of restaurants. The service is really good, and it has a lot of amenities.

I stayed at this hotel in 2016. This time I booked it for my friend. It still feels a bit old. It's quite comfortable to walk along the nearby Kamogawa River, and the sanitation is also very clean.

Very good to have free shuttle service to 2 different locations. This is a must have when in kyoto. Breakfast is very limited choice. You can buy from the Coop mart 2 doors away. Bus stop, taxi stand and train station is very nearby. Staff speak English!

The coffee machine at the entrance offers great sports drinks that are refreshing and quench your thirst, and the service is excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and held our bags since we arrived in Kyoto before check in time. The hotel was conveniently located near a train station and several convenience stores. Only complaint was that the bathroom was on a steep step that was not labeled. My friend and I stumbled on it a couple times before getting used to it.

Honestly an amazing value for money. Yes the breakfast is not the biggest, but there's tea, coffee, toast and jam. There are even instant noodles. And even though there's no room service included, you get fresh towels every day so that's totally fine!

I chose to stay at Pocket Hotel near Gojo Subway Station for my cherry blossom viewing trip in Kyoto. It was incredibly clean and hygienic, with separate accommodations and bathing facilities for men and women. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It feels like a boutique hotel but at a hostel price point, offering the perfect balance of privacy and community. The hotel is located near Gojo and Omiya, a bit far from the subway, but thankfully there's a bus stop nearby that can take you to popular destinations. The room, though small, is clean and tidy with complete facilities. The breakfast is simple, suitable for solo travelers.

It’s far away from the station and the shopping centre. I went there at night and it was a really long way from the station. Friendly reminder, they charged for late check out very strictly. I was late for 20 minutes and the receptionist asked me to check out at 11 directly and paid for ¥1000. It is still value for money though.

The hotel is very close to Nishi Hongan-ji Temple, and Higashi Hongan-ji Temple is not much further, both are highly recommended attractions. Breakfast was decent, a buffet. Luggage storage at the front desk is free (for the same day only). Exceeded our expectations! It is our first time to try a Checkin hotel and we weren't expecting much. What suprised us is the washing machine in the room, and the overflowing drinks in the lobby, the onsen, and the free bread during breakfast. The location is also near nishiki market and other tourist attractions so we don't have to travel too far.

Excellent service from the hotel staff. They provide supplies to the room every day. Everything is clean and working. The only downside is that the room is very small, but I already knew that and it's common in most hotels at this price point. I would stay here again if I return to Kyoto.
