Kyoto, 175-2, Ebisucho, Higashiyama Ward (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Very good hotel. Room a bit small as per the standard here. I can rate room as 4+ to 5 stars level. However, location is a bit poor. Quote a walking distance to the main attentions.
Newly opened hotel, close to Dongshan. The environment is absolutely superb, especially the garden view from inside. The service attitude is excellent. Highly recommend staying here, it offers good value for money. The room's overall decor is simple yet elegant.
We had a very comfortable stay during a short holiday. The hotel has a calm and high-quality atmosphere, and everything was clean, modern, and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent and clearly above average, especially the Japanese selection with wagyu shabu-shabu. The location is convenient while still being in a quiet area. Service was smooth and professional throughout. Would definitely stay...
The room is quite spacious, and the transportation is very convenient, with a subway station not far away. The most convenient part is the hotel's shuttle bus, which departs for Kyoto Station at 55 minutes past the hour, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. It returns from Kyoto Station at 25 minutes past the hour. The driver was very steady and polite. The breakfast was especially good; the...
Very quiet business hotel away from kyoto station. The breakfast has limited choices. Otherwise, quite a standard 4 stars hotel.

Hotel very near to Kujo station and Kyoto station. Hotel is clean but toilet is quite small.
Traveling as a group of three, we booked a triple room and it was a bit bigger than we expected. The hotel isn't far from Kyoto Station, and it's close to the bus stop, which made getting around really convenient. They also have a large public bath, which was a very nice experience.
Very convenient for me to go out for everything.I will back to stay here if I travel to Kyoto again.Thx for everything 🙏
The hotel's location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station and about 8 minutes from Isetan and Aeon. There's also a bus stop just 5 minutes away that goes directly to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Everything is so easily accessible. The room itself was quite spacious and pleasant.
This self-service hotel is excellent and incredibly convenient. Check-in was seamless, and the hot springs were open very late, almost all day long! You can grab toiletries and other items as needed, and room cleaning can be intelligently selected, which eliminates a lot of communication hassle and is very efficient. The breakfast selection is extensive, making for a fantastic experience!
Arrived in Kyoto at the tail end of autumn foliage season. This hotel is conveniently located not far from Kyoto Station, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel's indoor and outdoor hot springs are a real highlight.

This was my second stay, so I didn't take any photos of the hotel. All I can say is that the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You can pretty much walk to everywhere you want to go, and strolling around and experiencing the city along the way is such a wonderful feeling. Also, the beds in the hotel are incredibly comfortable – just the right firmness – ensuring a good night's sleep. For such...
The hotel's location is really great; I love the Isomaru right across the street. This time, though, I encountered a staff member who wasn't very sharp. The main draw is how comfortable it is right by the Takase River, and Ogawa Coffee, just one traffic light away, is also delicious.
This is the seventh hotel I've stayed at in Kyoto. I've evolved from initially choosing hotels near Kyoto Station, primarily relying on buses for getting around, to now staying in the city center and using the subway more often. It's best to pick accommodation based on your personal travel needs. The hotel's front desk has plenty of staff; the experienced young and middle-aged employees are efficient...
The room was pretty good overall, with enough space for two suitcases. The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by lively shops and restaurants, making it convenient for both dining and exploring. I highly recommend the bakery next door for breakfast; my daughter and I ate there twice and still talk about it!
My friend recommended this hotel. It's in a prime location, right by the Kamo River, making transportation very convenient. Shopping and dining are even easier. The hotel is a bit older. Our triple room with an extra bed and a large sofa felt a bit cramped. The sofa was actually a bit unnecessary; it would have been better to have that space for luggage. The breakfast was decent, and the staff were...
Environment: The location is excellent. Right outside the hotel, there are three streets, and a 2-minute walk to the left takes you to "Kamo River," while a 1-minute walk to the right leads to the bustling "Nishiki Market." Cleanliness: Very good, cleaned daily. The bedding is soft and comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep. Facilities: The facilities are relatively new and well-maintained...

The front desk staff speaks fluent English, and there were quite a few Western guests during my stay. For the cherry blossom season, the value for money was pretty good. The room was relatively spacious compared to other Japanese hotels. Rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy late at night. Breakfast leans towards a Western style. It's very close to the subway, just a short walk to the Kamo River...
Amazing service, their english was excellent and everyone was incredibly thoughtful! Best place we stayed on our trip!
Perfect stay ! Very clean very convenient and the location perfect!! It’s so close to everywhere ! Service is amazing the spa is so nice ! Chie made my body stress relief by the spa.
Absolutely great hotel with such a nice interiour design, very helpful and nice staff and great, spacious room. we even got a free room upgrade. breakfast was delicious and had a nice athmosphere. there is free coffee available in the lobby which is also a very nice extra. we fully enjoyed our stay here. location could not be better, many sightseeing spots in walkable distance and subway is just around...
The decor is very stylish, but the bedding isn't great. The 'super king size bed' is actually two beds pushed together, and there's a big gap in the middle. We had to squeeze with our child on one side, which was really cramped. Plus, the bedding was too soft and offered no support, leaving me with a sore back for all three days of our stay.
Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was aesthetically pleasing with its decoration. The welcome drink was pleasantly served as well. The staff was friendly and helpful with our checking in process. They also provide luggage transfer services for you. The room was done up nicely and the metro was just one traffic light away. Overall, we had a awesome stay there. We got to see snow on our 2nd day!

Check-in is conveniently done in the hotel room. The staff are professional and welcoming. The overall design of the hotel's public spaces is very comfortable.
The service was good. The first room I was given was a bit smelly, so I changed it to a new room. Then, because I was bothered by the cemetery view room, I was upgraded to a Kamogawa view room for free.
Great, because the hotel made this trip even better!

The staff were incredibly attentive and polite. The hot springs were great, and the breakfast spread was generous. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
The whole building a bit run down. The only good point is her location. The room is pricey though.
I stayed at a Dormy Inn in Tokyo many years ago and still fondly remember their complimentary evening noodles. Everything in Japan gets more expensive around New Year's, and this hotel was no exception. It has a really cool, stylish design, which I loved! However, it's right next to a cemetery. So, if that's something that bothers you, you might want to reconsider. Overall though, it was a very good stay.

This is the worst and most uncomfortable hotel I’ve stayed in during my three years of traveling in Japan. The smell in the room is unbearable — mold, dampness, something rotten — and it never goes away. It made the room impossible to stay in. Located near a major shopping, dining, and covered market district of Kyoto, less than a block from the subway and an underground grocery store and mall, Practically overlooking Nobunaga's Mausoleum, the hotel interior is artful decorated and the rooms are comfortable, quiet.
Location was good. Easy to travel around amenities. Walking distance to train and bus station. Plenty of good food and shopping around the area. Room is spacious. Bathroom has ample space too.
Amazing hotel right at the shopping street. For the money it was a mind-blowing. Very quiet, very clean. The reception desk is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here and will come back eventually.

The hotel's location is a bit awkward; it's about 1.5km from Kyoto Station and a 600-meter walk to Gojo subway station. However, being in a residential area does offer a unique local charm. What was really hard to accept was that the futon mattress in the Japanese-style room was made of combined sections, making it incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on.
We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The rooms were larger than the usual mid range hotels in . They were clean and the usual amenities were provided. This is currently my favorite hotel in Kyoto. The front desk offers fresh fish soup and complimentary sweets, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The room was clean and tidy. I stayed there for two nights, and from now on, this will be the only place I'll stay when I visit Kyoto.

Wow! What a wonderful experience at Biwako Grand Hotel. Truly the most relaxing part of my Japan trip, the onsen was very beautiful, with fantastic views. We didn't end up getting a pure lake view, but it was still a beautiful and relaxing experience in the tatami room. It was a tad pricey, even for off-season, but with a wonderful kaiseki dinner, it was still a great time.

Room space is nice and comes with balcony. A nice view. Everything is clean and with air humidifier/purifier. Good
The front desk service could be better. The couch in the room is a bit torn. Other than that, I enjoyed their location and decent breakfast! The massage chair is quiet nice.
Convenient transportation, clean room.
Hotel is good in overall. I am impressed with free drink times every day with some singers some times at night. It is a relax atmosphere for us to enjoy the times. Also, there is an area for the coffee-making by myself. Good to do it! Great! Buffet breakfast is also good.
A good mid level hotel in proximity to train station.Breakfasts are good. If possible , I recommend book the rooms that face inner yard, as there is a busy intersection on outside - may be noisy at times.
The breakfast was very good I suggest you book with the breakfast , coffee and a free bar make this hotel perfect
