8.6
Tokyo, Minamisuna 2-1-5 (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map

There's even a Daiso nearby, which was really handy for picking up anything I needed
🚫There were some areas in the room that hadn't been cleaned, and I was bothered by the dust in various places! There was dust around the outlet on the desk where the TV is, dust on the hangers, and the shelf where towels are kept in the bathroom - as I'm tall, there was a lot of dust that was noticeable
Overall very clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly. Conveniently close to a lot of restaurants, convenience stores and the train station.
Not bad but everything depends on the budget. I recommend it only in case of low budget. The location is good and the train station is just adjacent to this hotel. Good experience.
It's a great hotel, really close to the station. There are tons of restaurants around the hotel, and even a convenience store for late-night snacks, so I never felt inconvenienced
Great hotel with friendly staff and just outside Toyocho station. Amenities were available at the reception. I was here for two nights for work and had a great experience

Things like the Refa hairdryer and the seven-piece bathroom amenity set are big bonuses for women! I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo!
I've stayed at both Montrey hotels in Ginza, and they both follow a European classical style. They are exquisite and beautiful, and the attention to detail is impressive
- Others: There is a microwave in the lobby you can use, you’re able to store luggage with the hotel if you need, apparently there is ice at the front desk based on the info sheet but didn’t use
Close to Ginza shopping district, with a convenience store and a pharmacy downstairs. Be careful if you have large luggage due to the subway exit.
clean and beautiful. perfect for business and travel
  - Fantastic location - shops, restaurants, combini, transport (Tokyo station/ginza station)  - Safe: need hotel key card to use elevator - Spacious: 2 people can open their baggage comfortably - Clean: housekeeping does such a great job, and because it’s spacious you can keep your stuff away and you can get your room cleaned every day

Ok - so I reviewed this place before. My evaluation changed slightly because the train stop located just steps away didn't readily connect with trains going places we or most others would like to go
The hotel's location is unbeatable, especially for this price point – seriously, what more could you ask for? The room was a bit small but up to Japanese standards
The location so far is good and the breakfast is delicious. Their foreign staff is not so friendly and have some communication with their staff, even using the translator.
Breakfast is good, there is a lot of green if you like that color. One drink pictured is matcha, another is diluted Calpis melon. You could also get a green salad if you desired
The only downside was that we checked in a bit late and got a room facing the main road, so the traffic noise was quite disruptive to a peaceful night's sleep
This hotel was super easy to find, right outside the subway exit, which was incredibly convenient. I chose it because I was taking the Shinkansen to Tokyo Station and found out it was very close to Tokyo Station too

The location and the service were both excellent! I'm grateful to the front desk and housekeepers for helping me out when I was in trouble!! The room was also spacious and very clean
Location was good enough, near to Meguro station. Reasonably spacious room as well. What impressed me what the level of cleanliness in hotel + rooms, and also very friendly service
A hotel with a sense of history and a nostalgic feel. The location is not too far from the subway station. The transportation is convenient. There are many food options nearby
There was a station, convenience store, and various shops nearby, so it was convenient to go anywhere. If I have the opportunity to go to Tokyo again, I'd like to stay here
It is also very close to the river for walking
Perfect stay nearby Meguro station

The room isn't small, and the night front desk lady was incredibly nice and friendly, fulfilling many requests. The view from the 14th floor is absolutely stunning, and there's a lovely little bar
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great air conditioning system. From the room, you could even see the Skytree and Kaminarimon. The front desk staff were also very helpful
The hotel's location is excellent; right downstairs, you'll find Senso-ji Temple and the Kaminarimon Gate, surrounded by various shops and restaurants
The soundproofing in the room was good, so it wasn't noisy at all
The toiletries and pajamas were super comfortable and clean!
The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across from Senso-ji Temple, and you get a fantastic city view from the top floor. However, the room itself is quite small and had an unpleasant odor.

APA Hotel Shibuya Dogenzakaue, Tokyo1 / 25
8.3
Tokyo, 20-1 Maruyamacho Shibuya-ku (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Pool: Pool
It was only about a 15 min walk from shibuya station and crossing and the staff was helpful in letting us know how to get to the airport the next day
As this is a 3-star hotel, I didn’t have high expectations considering the price and the prime location. You get exactly what you pay for—a basic hotel with small and not particularly comfortable rooms
Rooms are small and definitely bring a power plug adaptor as the universal power socket in our room was faulty (but there were 2 Japan sockets so we were fine). Great ramen shop across hotel
Fugu place nearby (but we didn’t try)
Pros: The hotel was clean, and the staff were very friendly. They also offer luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. Conveniently located close to Shibuya Station and major shopping areas
Thoughtful amenities are provided, including a comb, shower cap, hair tie, toothpaste and toothbrush, slippers, and more. Cons: Beware! The room is extremely small and not recommended if you are traveling with someone

This hotel was the perfect way to end my stay in Japan. The service provided is top notch and the room is so nice. Top quality modern and comfortable.
Having a 24-hour Don Quijote right downstairs is super convenient. Plus, there's a convenience store just outside the hotel's side entrance
The entire room exceeded our expectations
It's incredibly thoughtful! The transportation nearby is very convenient, and there are plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment in the surrounding area. I'll upload some pictures of the surroundings
The front desk staff are all Japanese and incredibly polite. The hotel has a charming, classic feel to it. It's currently undergoing renovations, and I'm sure it will be even better once they're complete
The only downside is that there are quite a few touts around at night, with many men and women soliciting customers on the street. It could be a bit unsafe for a woman walking alone

Breakfast was good, but everyday the food is repeated. Cleanliness is great, there is worker come to clean and renew the towel
One bad thing is that the laundry area only has one washing machine and dryer, will need take turn and wait long time to use it. Overall the hotel and service is great, will book it again if i coming Tokyo again
The beds are very comfortable which is also a plus. I'll make sure to look for APA hotels wherever I go in Japan. For the price, comfort, and proximity to major stations, I don't think there's anything better
The standard size bed wasn't as small as I thought, and there was even space underneath for our suitcases. The food was delicious, and the front desk instantly resolved any issues
The cleanliness was good and overall, but the smell of cigarettes permeated the room, which was a bit uncomfortable. The food wasn't bad, and the chicken was delicious.
On the evening of the second day, I found a bag hanging from the door handle. It contained bedding, towels, etc. , and it wasn't until I checked the room and found the bedding

This hotel is super conveniently located between Shimbashi and Yurakucho, with tons of food options nearby. Ginza is just a few minutes' walk away, and there's a Lawson and 7-Eleven right across the street
The hotel is quiet and conveniently located. The facilities are new and very clean. It's an established hotel that consistently delivers; every stay is comfortable. The hotel staff are also very attentive and polite
Great location, directly connected to Shimbashi Station via an underground passage. The facilities are excellent, and the service quality is superb. It feels like it was once a truly top-notch hotel
The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the service is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo
Good location and services, highly recommended this hotel!

The room was amazing large size and a beautiful view over looking the gardens. The staff were amazing friendly and helpful. One staff member was all ways there to help as out when we needed something so thank you Kosuke
Charging to pay 5000yen for a fairly dated gym was the only negative the changing rooms, hot tub and sauna were excellent though! Breakfast was very good pretty sure the omelette stand could also do pancakes 🥞
Excellent and welcoming staff. Good breakfest. Close (10 min walk) to subway and with a shuttle buss to and from Takatanobaba station the hotell is easily accessible. Beautifull interior. An excellent stay.
The Rihga Royal Hotel in Tokyo was a great place to stay. Both the hotel and the room were clean, tidy, and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and service-oriented, always ready to help
The location is in a quiet area, yet still close to public transportation, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay

It truly lives up to its name as a 'super hotel'. The breakfast was delicious! The front desk service was excellent, and the location is superb. All in all, this is an outstanding hotel, a rare find in Japan.
A pretty decent hotel in Tokyo with onsen. Reasonable prices. But the onsen is scheduled between man and woman because they only have one.
For people whom are not familiar with Japan’s trash system, there should be a pamphlet about what’s considered combustible and what’s non combustible so that we can sort out the garbage properly
Conveniently located near Akihabara with excellent transport links. The room was a bit small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. It was very clean, and the service was good
Location is almost smack between Ueno Station and Akihabara - which is a great spot to be in. There are many shopping and food option within a 3 to 5 minute location
Room and hallways are clean and well maintained but not exactly brand new which is just right if you are going to spend the entire day out and about anyways

Go further to Sunny Mall, and you will find relatively cheap toiletries, a bigger supermarket and a Daiso. Hotel staff is extremely friendly. Always helpful, always accommodating and always ready with a smile
The reception desk were friendly and accommodating. We appreciated that they allowed us to leave our luggage with them before check in and after checking out. Location is near enough to the train station
Not too far to travel out to the main areas like Tokyo station or Ginza station. Breakfast was also included but we didn’t make it in time. I did get to enjoy their free coffee though. Highly recommend this hotel!
- Room is clean - Equipment is well functioned - Near to train station - Breakfast is delicious - Hotel staff us friendly - You can use English if you don't know Japanese, easy to ask question or ask for assistance Improvement: - Pillow is a bit hard but still acceptable for me
I was given a twin room on the 11th floor which provided an excellent view of the town. The room was extremely clean and tidy, no hair or stains found. In the room, there was a washing machine cum dryer
An amazing hotel! It's about a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Kasai, making it very convenient for transportation. Since it was recently renovated, all the facilities are in excellent condition

An average hotel with simple breakfast (coffee, toast, and sandwiches). Convenience store is directly connected, which is very handy. Luggage can only be stored until the same day, and English communication is available
The hotel is very close to Shimbashi Station, making it super convenient for getting to the airport and Tokyo Big Sight! There's a 24-hour drugstore nearby, and a ton of restaurants right downstairs to choose from
Stayed here for 5 nights in a group for 4 of those and solo for 1, the single room is really great and I think spacious for Japan and great location close to the train with good line access Would stay here again
It's not ideal for two people or families with children. The soundproofing is excellent, very quiet. There are many restaurants and izakayas downstairs, making dining and drinks very convenient
There's a convenience store right downstairs, and the subway station is about a 6-minute walk away. You can even see Tokyo Tower from the room! The hotel breakfast also offered variety daily
Service and facilities are good especially the coin laundry. However, there are bedbugs- see photo attached. Food is okay, would be better if they can serve meals with rice and soup.

10 min walk to Tokyo Station, easy check in and check out, helpful staff. They kept our luggage before and after check in/out. Room was small and clean but had a funky smell from the carpet
(I recommend to take a bus at Tokyo station to Narita airport 👍🏻) The main reason I chose this hotel was I can adjust the air-con inside my room!!! Room size is enough for one person with one big luggage (only 1side open) and maybe another cabin size
It’s small, but hotels in jap is generally small. Clean and good enough for couple. Lobby also have amenities if u need, even have bath salt , facial mask 👍🏻👍🏻
If I go to Tokyo, I will stay here again. It’s not far from Tokyo station and 2 metro stations around hotel
Room is clean, location is prime, near 2 subway stations, nearby have Lawson and 7-11, very convenient

Walking into the room felt great because it was bigger than I expected. I had set an alarm for 3 hours, but I woke up on my own after 1. 5 hours, feeling much more refreshed. I then immediately took a shower and a bath
The location is super convenient, really close to the Yamanote Line, and not a long walk from Tokyo Station. The service was good, and the facilities were decent. Plus, you can even choose your own pillow!
I arrived at the hotel at 1:40 PM and was told I'd have to wait until 3 PM. After eating some pudding I bought from FamilyMart, I dozed off for a bit. At 2:08 PM, I was woken up and told I could check in
After an early morning red-eye flight, I spent the morning exploring and was absolutely exhausted. I just couldn't walk anymore and really wanted to check in early
The water was incredibly hot; I had to add cold water to take a bath, otherwise, it would have been scalding. By around 4 PM, I felt completely re-energized
good location , close to JR to metro station , have several convent store near by like family mart . And it is also less than 10 mints to Ueno by JR.

Very nice place to stay, I had the most wonderful view for only 30 dollars a night. I have stayed at this spot twice so they do a wonderful job for what I believe was only about $30 US for the night
It was a very good Hotel It has a very central location with easy access to subway stations. The room was small but sufficient for one person and had everything you need, including a refrigerator.
They will provide you clean towels everyday. Quite far from the train stations - if walking isn't a big deal for you like me, a 5-10 minute walk would be fine except when it's raining which is kind of hassle
The hotel room itself is enough for an individual. I enjoyed the 11th floor view of the Sumida-Gawa river. They utilize self check-in machine which read my passport quickly and accurately.
I am a solo traveler and enjoyed having my own bathroom and the rooms are quite cute as well
One elevator for an 11-floor building is absolutely absurd, be prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get to and from your room. Breakfast was very tasty but much more limited than in other locations

The location is excellent, with Akasaka Station right on the doorstep. My only complaint was the constant strange noises every night; I couldn't tell if it was poor soundproofing or the fridge motor.
The location is fantastic, with super convenient access to the subway. While the room isn't overly spacious, it's perfectly sufficient for two and kept very clean and cozy
The front desk staff were incredibly polite and professional – I was very impressed! Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely be booking here again on my next visit to Tokyo!
If you're on a budget in Tokyo, you can generally expect smaller rooms. Mine was compact but very clean. It's conveniently located near the subway and wasn't noisy at all
Prices in Tokyo are just too high on weekends. But for a weekday stay, I think this place offers great value for the price, and the service was excellent.

Despite being in such a bustling and accessible location, there was no outside noise audible from the room. This will definitely be my top choice for accommodation next time I visit Tokyo!
Location good, washroom size acceptable, room size able to open two luggages. However during the check in date I stuck at ground floor for a while due to waiting them to open the door for me to go up to lobby
It felt more like a serviced apartment than a typical hotel room, as it came fully equipped with kitchen appliances, a washing machine, and even a dining table inside the room
Traveling with kids, I specifically booked a suite with a kitchen and living room. The bathroom had a bathtub and a washing machine (with dryer function), which was incredibly convenient
Personally, I chose this hotel because I needed to return the rental car and catch an early flight the next morning. The location made everything very easy and stress-free
Downstairs, the hotel is directly connected to Daimaru and the Tokyo Station underground shopping area, making shopping and transportation unbelievably convenient
