Staying at the Ibis is a good choice for island hopping in Phuket. They pick you up in the morning for your boat trip and drop you back off in the evening, and there are plenty of good places to eat near the hotel. We stayed in a room with a kitchen. The room was large, clean, and serviced daily. It had its own private entrance. The hotel was inexpensive and basic, so don't expect anything special; everything was modest. The hostess and staff were very friendly.

Used this hotel many times and as usual requested a first floor room as I have mobility issues. Unfortunately I was placed on the third floor which I could barely access and almost fell on my descent. On booking there were more than one room available but by my delayed arrival was told it was the last one and they failed to move me the next day when other rooms became available!
