Unfortunately, the photos on the website and reality are two polar opposites. Upon checking into the hotel, we had planned to stay three nights, but we realized we didn't even want to stay overnight. The room was terrible, the walls were dirty, everything was shabby and grubby. We approached the manager and asked her to cancel the room without a penalty, as it was impossible to stay at this hotel....

I loved staying here. My room was huge(felt palatial). the rooftop pool one flight up. Room came with a basic breakfast... which I only made it to on the last day. Its quite low key, eg. from the street you'd never know its there.

The hotel consists of individual villas, each with 4 rooms. You can rent an entire villa or individual rooms. Every villa has its own pool. All amenities are conveniently located nearby. We originally booked for three days but extended our stay to ten because everything was perfect.

By far. The hottest and best shower of my entire 2 weeks of holiday so far. Hotel was clean except for some hairs that were on the floor. Smoking permitted on the balconies and rooftop. Pools on rooftop. Stuff was helpful and friendly.

If you’re someone who travels with a lot of luggage, I strongly do not recommend staying at this place. There is no elevator, and it’s located in a small alley where taxis cannot access directly, which makes it very inconvenient. The room also had a strong moldy smell, and the overall cleanliness was quite concerning.

Hotel is practically in Kata walking street. We were worried about noise, since previous week at Phi Phi was quite horrible. But all activities start to close down at 11 PM. I wish there was more parking for cars; it's quite limited and narrow, making it a bit difficult to park and back out. I understand space is an issue, though. Also, please reduce the chlorine in the swimming pool. The smell feels too strong, and it really stings my eyes when water gets in them.

I had a good 2night stay here. The 2 guys in front receptionist is very nice and helpful and kind. I stayed at a bungalow room it does have giant ants but its not so bad. Cold water is great after a long tiring day. They have laundry service and it was affordable. They also have restaurant and café next door. I was also able to leave my luggage after checking out. You will need to hire a car or use Grabs all the time as situated on a very busy dual carriage way. Rooms are basic but clean, with the beds being the usual Thia hardness. Two small bottles of water provided daily, along with a room clean and fresh towels. The hotel is what it is, budget with very friendly staff.

The location is fine, many restaurants in the area, offering delicious local food and international choices. The famous Patong beach is within walking distance. The hotel people are nice. They cleaned the room everyday. But the hotel facilities are somewhat outdated. There seemed to be no WiFi in the hotel room, only available in the common area, such as the lobby in the ground floor.

Good location, near the beach, near restaurants, near Soi Bangla. There are many sizes of rooms to choose from, but I personally don't like the bathroom because it doesn't separate the wet and dry zones. All the staff are excellent. There is enough breakfast.

Overall, a bad experience. First, the neighborhood is crowded and noisy with, for example, literal gun shots waking me up at night (from nearby shooting ranges). Second, the air conditioning units in the room are weak and faulty, shutting off randomly (even after the hotel serviced them at my request). Imagine waking up each hour of the night because the room becomes hot with the AC shutting off randomly...

No toothbrush/toothpaste provided and guest have to loan the hairdryer from the receptionist. The air-conditioning wasn't working well until we had to change room. However, the staff service is very helpful to help us resolve the situation without much delays.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who decides to stay in the Surin Beach area. It is a relatively old hotel compared to the newer ones in the area but it is very reasonably priced and worth staying at if you are on a tight budget. The rooms are clean and cleaned regularly, it is hard to find bugs unless you bring them yourself. Family run business with very friendly service.

I had booked and paid my stay with Surin sunset hotel two months ago through Agoda. However when I arrived, the manager said she has given my booked room to someone else, which means they have double booked or over booked. I was in trouble for four and a half hours with my kids, before they have sort of resolved the problem. No compensation offered.

A rather tired hotel. The location is okay, but that's where the positives end at this price. The promised city view is just an arm's length away from someone else's balcony with drying underwear. Nice and clean hotel with attractive location but one big problem in this hotel that you have to pay extra 500 baht each time when you invite your friend in your room and they haven’t even mentioned these rules in their description page .
