Baumanburi Hotel Patong in Patong

The hotel has two positives:
• Great location
• Polite and friendly staff

However, our overall experience was disappointing because of a few serious issues:

1. Missing items from luggage: We left our bags in the lobby with two small gift bags tied to them. When we returned, the gift bags were gone. No one took responsibility, and the staff didn’t help us trace them.

2. Misleading room allocation: The photos show rooms with city or pool views, but we were placed in a completely different wing/building that didn’t seem part of the main property. This was not mentioned anywhere during booking.

3. Poor housekeeping response: We had to repeatedly follow up for basic housekeeping — room cleaning, toiletries, and daily supplies. Nothing happened unless we ran behind them.

Overall, while the location and staff were good, the service issues and lack of accountability overshadowed our stay. Would rethink staying here again unless improvements are made.

Currently as we speak I’m staying here . Booked through love holidays firstly on love holidays these were not the rooms as advertised I thought I booked for . On arrival me my partner and young son were put in a room with one window facing the side of the hotel that couldn’t even be opened , no balcony and the air con is around 50years old the room was a disgrace . Luckily it was rectified the next day and we were put in a double room and an extra bed was put in it for my son , like sardines we were Squashed with 3 25kg cases in the room also but we made the most of it and didn’t complain but still these were not the rooms as advertised on love holidays. The rooms were we were staying at are in a totally separate building to the main hotel rooms if you get out here and are put in this outside building I recommend looking for another hotel and asking for a refund these are not 4 star rooms .we needed a balcony to dry stuff after pool or beach days with our son , the new balcony room given was concrete and right on the main road . Sleeping at night is a nightmare but we still didn’t complain .
I also would like to mention it wasn’t stated on love holidays policy for the hotel I would have to pay a 3,000 THB security deposit which was taken out of money I exchanged before coming to Phuket . I would have understood this policy if we were a group of lads or girls on holiday but we are a small family . This for me was a major inconvenience as it was money I needed to spend as literally no where takes card . 1 week into my stay I asked for the deposit back as I had my son with me and ran out of cash and was waiting to be paid from work I offered to give my passport in exchange as security for the room to make sure no damage was done to the room . I was told flat out no , even though I told the girls at reception I had no cash left .my sister arrived at the hotel to surprise me for my birthday and didn’t have to pay the security deposit instead gave her passport . All other staff are lovely but the reception staff are so unhelpful . We were also given 1 keycard most hotels with couples give 2 so I asked for another key as my partner was out with the key and was told it was 500thb for a new one , I refused to pay it and had to wait in the lobby till my partner arrived because no way was I paying 500thb for a new key when they had 3000thb belonging to me . This is not a 4 star hotel as stated on love holidays be prepared for hidden charges and make sure you’re put in a room as advertised on your holiday provider .
