Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa, Patong Beach in Patong

We are just back from a fabulous Two week stay at Diamond Cliff.
The Hotel is situated high up off a busy road opposite the beach & just a short walk from the main promenade.
It does have a steep driveway leading up to the main reception which then continues up to the higher rooms with many steps and walkways which will be most challenging for those of the older generations or those who have walking difficulties.
To help with this there is actually a shuttle service which constantly operates from reception transporting guests to & from those higher rooms where acsess can only be made by that steep incline.
The grounds are lovely ....very clean & well kept with two great swimming pools where towels are provided for guests using the area.
Our room was of a decent size with air conditioning, doorbell fridge/ mini bar /snacks....Tv, kettle,hairdryer, safe plenty of storage & a very comfortable super king-size bed.
There was a bath aswell as a shower which to be honest was my only issue with the room as the shower was over the bath & worked off the tap system which wasnt that powerful but it did the job
A complimentary tray of toiletries,
Bathrobes, outdoor aswell as indoor slippers, a shopping / beach basket & even an umbrella were also provided.
Our room was 2219 and cleaned daily by the lovely Ann
who not only gave us clean towels, fresh bottled water and topped up the coffee tray at every visit, she also changed the bedding at our request, we just had to indicate when we needed her to do so by using a simple card system they have.
The staff are lovely, friendly and ever so helpful If there is anything you need you only have to ask.
Breakfast is great with such a huge selection of both hot & cold foods to choose from including fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, yoghurts, pancakes,waffles, meats, cheeses eggs,rice,curries even sushi.
Guests are given a voucher to collect a free basket of fruit from the hotel fruit shop & we were also gifted a free candle lit dinner in the hotels Seaview restaurant.
Room service is 24 hour you just need to scan the QR code in your room which takes you to the menu.
Service is prompt and the food we had was really good.
Would i stay at Diamond cliff again ? Definitely yes!
Please try the Amritsr Indian restaurant on the beach front ... turn right out of the hotel and follow the path and you will come to it on the opposite side of the road.
The food is fab, reasonably priced , you get a great view of the sea from the upstairs front tables.

Fabulous experience! First time in Phuket and Diamond Cliff was more than I could have dreamed. Beautiful room (we had Spa room with ocean view), friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and amenities. Definitely worth the price, and the location is walkable to town, but light years away from the craziness of downtown.

Both me and my wife stayed at Diamond Cliff resort in Phuket for a week.

This was our first visit to Phuket and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location of the Hotel is very good facing the beach.

The slight inconvenience is that rooms and the dining halls along with the swimming pools ate situated uphill which makes walking little strenuous. However the resort provides a courtesy transport every few minutes to overcome this.

The resort has two swimming pools ( little smaller and a larger one ) both have enough sun beds for the guests.

To access the beach you to cross a very busy road. The hotel however has a dedicated security guard who ensures that we cross safely by stopping the busy traffic. Watch out for motorcyclist who at times anre unwilling to stop.

The rooms are big and lavishly furnished. The staff of the hotel are really credit to this place. Very polite, courteous and humble. Always willing to help with a great smile. My special Thanks to Supaporn our room attendant. She was marvellous-always service with a smile and always courteous. She was very pleasant as were the other staff

The breakfast with a range of wonderful selection of both veg and non veg is really scrumptious with delicious fruit choice.

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful resort! We actually visited 25 years ago, and it was such a special experience that we always wanted to come back. Now, after all these years, we can truly say it is still just as amazing — if not even better!
The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The atmosphere is perfect for unwinding and feeling completely at home. everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Their kindness and professionalism made our stay even more enjoyable.
It’s a superb resort, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect holiday. We definitely hope to return again!

We were having the greatest time. We even got engaged here. :-) The staff was super friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Breakfast has everything you need (and more) at top quality. The rooms (we had a standard room with ocean view, Room #2209) are comfortable and of good standard. Our cleaning lady, Ann, did a great job as well. Thank you for everything. We will come back.

I choose to stay here for one night before going back to Malaysia. This hotel is incredible, i stay at super deluxe room with sea view & the view is very fantastic especially during sunset. Their staff was very helpful to send my luggage to the room & explain every important details during my stay. Here got 2 swimming pool. the larger one need to go by shuttle van because my room located at second floor. The breakfast menu here also amazing.

The structure is beautiful and very big. You have two pools and we had a deluxe suite with Jacuzzi and sea view which was stunning. The breakfast is good but unfortunately they do not have soy milk and even if I requested they did not provide me soy milk which I guess is a normal and common request for who cannot drink cow milk. That was a little disappointing. What was nice it has been the service from the lobby to the room and back , always available and on time is very important especially because the building is huge and can take few minutes walking to arrive from a point to another . You can easily reach beaches from the hotel in few minutes walking and within a 20 minutes walking you are in Bangla Road where the clue of Patong is . So we were satisfied with location. They charged us 200 bath for a laundry bag that we used , that was ok but we didn’t know it and I guess it’s not a kind of treatment that you reserve for who stay a week in your hotel and spend a lot of money in it. At the arrival they provide you a complimentary kilo of fruit you can choose from their shop. I think that’s a special gift that a 5 star should provide .. by the way recommended

We stayed in this resort for 2 weeks from the beginning of November with my partner . This was our first time in Phuket , but defo not the last as well as in this hotel we will definitely book this hotel again when back to Thailand.

We only had positive experiences .

The resort is gorgeous.

The location and the view is fabulous. City / Bangla road 20 min walk approx but there is alwals Bolt and Tuktuk to use .

The beach is beautiful as well as the view . We have booked a room with sea,view and balcony which was amazing the room was nice and huge and the bed was huge and so comfortable. The bathroom was really spacious too ( tiny issue maybe others also noticed when showering that the water can turn really hot out of a sudden for a few seconds) . In our opinion the rooms were kept clean on a daily basis with the option of getting the bed sheet changed every day .

The staff was smily and friendly and helpful EVERYONE!!

Worthy mention the guys that works outside the hotel who looked after our safety when crossing the road :) , they are so lovely too .

The 1kg fruit we received was fresh and delicious ( you visit the shop where you,choose your desired fruits you wish to take in the wee basket which is in the room )

The swimming pools was nice and clean too we used the bigger one with the bar only as we preferred this had so much fun.

The hotel prices can be "expensive " compared to outside prices but not too bad at all . Room service was also excellent.

The breakfast was good , there was plenty of choices .

The whole resort looked like a dream , it was beautiful in our opinion.

When you check out ( asked if there is option for late check out as our flight was late at night, unfortunately was not an option due to being fully booked) there is a lovely lounge behind or above the bar at the swimming pool next to the restaurant which is free to use with shower available.

So overall , definitely recommend for anyone to visit this lovely resort ( and yeah almost forgot there will be stairs and a bit of climbing we did not very much enjoy ) but the will compensate:)

This place has a lot of potential. It is in a great location. The hotel does a very good staff training program. The bar needs considerable work. Needs seating and friendlier staffing. The restaurant is lovely and the wait staff are fantastic... the spa is always booked out, and would benefit from sms reminder system. Overall Diamond cliff is worth a stay. Just bring your hiking shoes.

Spent 7 nights n 8 days here with my husband and loved every minute... Delightful, helpful and professional staff, everywhere from the restaurant wait staff to the security team ... always ready with a smile. Thanks to all for exceptional service and lovely food n drinks. The best breakfast buffet I've ever seen. Relaxing by the pool after a gentle massage was a daily pleasure. Great to see the hands on management team daily, ensuring the exceptional standards were maintained.
