I made my reservation several days in advance and the day of travel to the hotel, I get a message letting me know that my Service Dog would be a daily charge of 500 bahts. I was scheduled for a 6 night stay. I said ok. Immediately I got another message asking what type of dog did I have, a Cockapoo. Then another question came immediately, how much does the dog weigh, I responded 9.5 KG right under 20 LBS. immediately another text followed that it would cost me 1000 bahts a day. It was if he was looking for anything to charge more. I had enough of the questions and refused to pay 1000 bahts a day (6000) in total. Once I texted that I wasn’t paying 1000 bahts but would pay 500 a day and to please advise if I still had the reservation, it took almost an hour to respond and said no he is cancelling the reservation. He did refund my money, but it left me searching for another hotel right away. They were sold out after my reservation, and within a few minutes of being back on availability, it was sold out again. I can’t say for sure, but it was suspicious. It was as if he had someone else he preferred for the room. He was doing everything to discourage my stay. I’m done now with budget friendly places, several issues lately…mostly the pictures and reviews are not reflective of the actual property….and if you don’t want to stay, you can lose your payment. The old saying, “You get what you pay for” is true based on my experience.

Excellent location for the beach and Bangla Road. Friendly staff, prompt in making up rooms. Laundry service is good. Dated room with no maintenance. Exorbitant price.

I've been coming to Thailand for at least 10 years, after a friend Marco recommended it to me. I tried this place! I had a great time, and I met the owner, Niko, and his wife. They're very kind and helpful! I come here every year! Every time I have to return to Italy, I'm heartbroken by the treatment I receive!

The food was very bland and didn’t look appetizing, the drinks were very bad the lemonade tasted like water with a few drops of shweps, the mango tasted very bland like it was store bought, the spaghetti bolognese was very bland and looked not appetizing at all, the chicken kebab was okay, the Thai noodles were just awful, and the curry was okay and the place had some kind of funky smell. I would not recommend coming

Great Staff & bosses .. Friendly but non-intrusive. They may ask about your plans for the following days & have some suggestions. Nicko has a travel agency to organise island hopping trips , trips to other destinations , e.g. i went on to transfer & stay at Phi Phi Maiyada Resort organised by them.. Kim is a great shy Italian chap u see till late in the night who helps organises stuff when bosses are busy.. Also lovely May as well who checked me in on the 1st day .. They have suggestions & recommendations but they are not forced upon you .. U can listen & absorb, to see if whatever was suggested , suits your plans & interests. See you on my next trip!!

I stayed at the Grand Orchid Inn for 3 weeks and I couldn't have made a better choice. Nicko and his staff are always available with excellent advice, smiling and available to the customer. The hotel is excellent for the price/quality ratio. The best thing is definitely the location, as it is located in a fairly quiet area but still a 5 minute walk from both the beach, Otop and Bangla Road. Absolutely "guest friendly", it is nevertheless frequented by a discreet and never annoying clientele. The only flaw is the lack of a lift, but if you compare the quality/price ratio to the location, discretion and tranquility, in the end you'll even be happy to climb the stairs. If you are Italian it is the ideal place to feel a little at home, but the staff was available with guests of all languages ​​and provided valuable advice and suggestions for tours. The only positive thing is that the stay didn't last long. The room was dirty and lacking in everything. Fridge didn't work. Non-existent room security. Every day we had to return the key to the owner. In doing so, there was never clean and fresh air in the room. Dirty bathrooms and smelly showers. which cannot be called showers Comfortable bed but dirty sheets who knows what liquid Yellow and shabby pillows There is no lift service AVOID SAYING THAT YOU ARE ITALIAN P.S. If the owner offers you a beer, know that it is not offered...

Food including pizzas and Thai food served were tasted authentic and nice. I would recommend anyone to come and try them if you want to taste different cuisine of food at one stop in Patong. :)

The servers are very polite and friendly.

It's so lovely to meet both boss lady and deaf boss there; both knew Thai and international signs. They're friendly and funny hosts! I would recommend anyone who is sign language users to try their food too and interact with them if you have the opportunity! :)
