Convenient location on the popular seafront of Patong, 1 km from the sea. Recommend the hotel for young people and couples without children.

Location: on Patong beach, 1 km from sea, 40 km from the airport of Phuket, 16 km from the city centre.
Consists of one six-story building.
The hotel has 50 rooms.
Beach: public, sandy beach 1 km from the hotel (3 coastline). Umbrellas, chairs – for a fee.

Our stay at SM Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
The property is nothing like the photos advertised on Agoda. This is not a resort — it is an old, poorly maintained, low-standard hotel. The furniture was rusty and outdated, towels were ripped, the room was not clean, and there were visible bugs and spider webs on the walls.
The most serious issue was safety: the bathroom had an exposed electrical wire next to the shower head, creating a real risk of electric shock. We felt stressed every time we used the shower.
The hotel did not show us the room we booked and refused to cancel the reservation. We were forced to pay and stay after waiting hours for help. To make matters worse, the hotel took our passports because they wouldn’t accept card payment — completely unacceptable. When returned, the passports were in poor condition.
This place is misrepresented, unsafe, and unprofessional. Do not trust the photos.
We strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while in Patong, it was a perfect location for visiting the food market and shops and beach.
The hotel was clean and tidy, the desk service was a bit slow. We hired a moped here which was good also

I stay here on several occasions throughout the year. It's a great hotel in terms of value for money. The staff are always friendly and very welcoming. Special thanks to Min Yurein a truly wonderful person!

Really dirty rooms, ants everywhere lifts stops working sometimes. Washrooms are also not good , try finding a better spot to stay as the photos they uploaded is like 7 years old at this time.

This place is quiet, the atmosphere is good, there are cheap restaurants nearby and there is a 7-11 too. 🤫☺️ I came to celebrate my 1 month birthday. Thank you. The price is very cheap, the room is spacious, the atmosphere is good, the staff is lovely.
And it is just a short distance from Bangla Road and has many massage shops and delicious restaurants.

Would not recommend to anyone. We made the reservation and took it and when we got there there were not enough rooms. the clerk instead of solving the situation tried to convince us to stay in one room but would not return the price difference. and trying to curl up that we would mock two rooms for one and still win. how? We could not sleep so dirty was the room. and when we thought of asking to change the sheet that was stained and smelling of used, we were surprised to find trash thrown under the mattress. very poorly maintained and dirty. We had to look for another hotel and lost the money paid for the rooms. The pictures is a situation when I enter in the room. (included used toilet paper in the basket.)

terrible managment. Was sleeping and they let someone into my room with out consent who is not registered nor a cleaner unbelievable. Not only that the person never knew my room number so they gave it to him then opened the door for him

Very nice and budget accommodation to stay at phuket. Staff is very friendly and cooperative. Rooms are very spacious and cleaned. Thanks to all SM resort staff to make my holidays memorable.
