The girl in charge of the changing rooms was very unfriendly; she wouldn't even let me shower and rudely told me it was closed. It's not what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel

The room we were in was in 3rd floor and at the corner window side of the hotel and we had a poor internet reachability. The speed and stability was good but seems like we were far from the router

The hotel is located in the heart of Istanbul’s Old City, right opposite a beautiful mosque with panoramic views. From the top floor, the scenery is truly breathtaking

We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious and comfortable. The weather outside was quite chilly, but the hotel’s ambience, warm hospitality, and delicious food made our stay perfect

The location was very convenient and the mosque across the road was stunning. The rooms were clean and I definitely recommend the VIP spa package

But the main reason I would recommend this hotel is the staff, the very attentive gentlemen captured in the photo were super helpful!

The windows are excellent, so it wasn’t particularly noisy — but it still feels like staying above a highway rather than in a historic hotel

Room 319 is a bit shabby in places, but the soundproofing is good. The building across the street significantly detracts from the hotel's overall impression, though this isn't a problem with the hotel itself

The Double Tree in the old town of Istanbul is in such a great location. Across the road from the tramway and close to the Metro. The room was very well equipped for toiletries and tea and coffee facilities

Rooms are larger than the surrounding hotels. Very friendly front-of-house staff including the cleaning staff. Good breakfast and comfortable enough bed/pillows

Good sized rooms, but found the bathroom and open sink layout somewhat awkward

Very good location, the highlight was the Burdock spa and the gym. The spa has a turkish hamam (you need to pay for it) but the sauna + steam room + cold shower + rest room was free

Burdock however has very good air conditioning and when windows are closed, the room is very quiet. Good atmosphere and not crowded

He came and gave us complimentary breakfasts and some wonderful cakes as we were in Istanbul to celebrate our birthday. Our surname is Burdock so we natural wanted to stay at a hotel of the same name

Great boutique hotel near Galata Tower. Much better staying here than in old town which is a huge tourist trap. Amazing pool and service from the staff. Wish I had more time to try the hamman

I acknowledge that it's the best luxury hotel in Istanbul. There was a minor service issue, but it was resolved very well, which is understandable given that they are a luxury hotel aiming to excel. Recommended.

Being from istanbul myself I do recommend The Mandarin for both a luxury hotel that does not compromise on the authenticity and culture of Istanbul

I had an overnight connection and with my unsatisfactory experience at kepler, I decided to try this hotel. The wifi was great, worked just fine, the service was good even though lines form at check in

Everything was OK except rooms not being properly identified as with the amenities within a room,we been put in a room( Comfort Room) i can say is not fit for a couple, small and not suitable for a holiday stay, apart from that I cannot fault anything else, just one more thing i have to praise restaurant stuff for being polite and precise about service

We got connecting rooms which were comfortable. But the dinner was not too great but has a good breakfast. The location is a little inconvenient and takes about 40 mins to the blue mosque and hagia Sophia

I had a really good stay at this hotel

The room was comfortable, the staff were helpful and there were cats and kittens in the garden of the restaurant! The only thing I didn't like was the air conditioning unit in my room, which was a bit weak and the room got very hot at midday

Staying in a lovely hotel is fabulous but what makes the experience equally as fabulous and makes you miss home less, and enjoy your stay more, is the wonderful service you receive when you are there

This is how Esma is making us feel. Nothing is too hard for her, and despite the language barrier her smile always translates into someone who genuinely loves the service she provides and cares

Turbot and all the breakfast staff are also very sweet and can make you special requests if you wish for something not in the buffet. Highly recommend and very clean also
