The hotel is right on the waterfront, a 20-minute walk from Rethymno. We booked half board and had a delicious five-course dinner (drinks are an extra charge, but inexpensive). The hotel isn't new, but everything is in good condition, and it offers excellent value for money.

Basic, clean accommodation and a lovely pool area and bar. Unfortunately, the hotel description doesn't match the reality so we have felt somewhat short changed. There are no cookers, no live entertainment or kids clubs and no games room. The pool was also closed and cordoned off. We spent the last week of October at the Asterias Village in Piskopiano the first day was a spanking 30 degrees of lovely sunshine. Let's start with the good points. A great pool area, great breakfast, helpful staff, very clean and a good location with plenty of restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our holidays at the Sunshine Crete Beach Hotel. We have stayed in a semi-separate apartment out of the main building. It was clean and quiet. We asked for a sea-view room but we could barely see the sea as it was mostly hidden by other buildings which was not so big issue at the end as we did not spend much time in the room anyway. We recently just stayed at Matheo for a week in May and honestly we cannot fault it. On arrival they kindly upgraded our room to the suite and it was beautiful. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough for us, they were very kind and helpful. We would highly recommend and would 100% visit again.

Perfectly decent hotel. Staff decent and food completely acceptable. The main thing to be aware of is the proximity of the National road, and the fact you have to cross Tia very busy road to get to the beach or the bus stop. A bridge would really make life safer! I, personally, wouldn’t stay in this village again because of the road.

Very good room service, everything was perfectly clean. Been very much satisfyed by the food as well. The bus stop is pretty close by, making daytrips within comfortable reach and it's only a five to ten minute walk to the beach. Alltogether the whole experience has been great.

We have just returned from our holiday which was excellent. The hotel was fantastic. Extremely kind and caring staff from the Manager down to the cleaning staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The property is beautiful, loved the large windows that opened to the courtyard, beautiful courtyard and spiral staircase. However, the bathroom smelled like rotten eggs, sewage issues?? The breakfast was good , loved the honey comb display but food was often cold.

The only thing that let the property down was the lighting in the bathroom was very low and the shower was cramped with the roof beam running through it so i kept hitting my head other than that excellent and the staff were great.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Rimondi Boutique Hotel and it was as perfect as the first time. The customer service is excellent and Room 7 was excellent as it was spread over two floors with a balcony overlooking the street and additional outside sunbathing area which wasn’t overlooked. Beautiful location and ease of access. Unfortunately parking is hard if you organise a hire car. Amenities are beautiful and the welcome gifts and morning breakfast were great. Just off the main markets and plenty of fine dining options literally steps from the hotel.

Miscommunication about the parking was a bit of a problem but got sorted out eventually. The manager and staff’s hospitality made up for any inconvenience.

What an absolute find this hotel was. We went fully inclusive the food was excellent the staff can't do enough for you they are a credit to the hotel. My sister and I really enjoyed the cleanliness and tranquility of Mitos Village, we would return. Thanos and his family were very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommended staying here. Food was good, pool was clean, staff were friendly. Absolutely no complaints.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The old town just a short stroll away in one direction and the beach and promenade in the other direction. Hotel breakfast was great, All the staff were pleasant and polite and everything was spotless. My only complaint was the noisy air conditioning unit in our room, which sounded like a bubbling boiling kettle all night!

The Ionia suites are simply beautiful! We arrived at 2pm and our room 303 was available immediately. This is a small hotel with about 20 rooms which is perfect for us. I am overall happy with choosing Iolida Village, but when I need to choose between 3/5 (average) and 4/5 (very good) I'll choose 3/5. Reserved hotel at 3/2023 for 2 families and asked rooms next to each other via email. When we arrived to hotel 9/2023 they said that this is not possible since hotel is full. Like you could not arrange this in 6months? Restaurants are avarage and staff below that but pools and hotel is quite nice. Would not stay second time, still nice holiday 6/10.

Apologies for the late review...Stayed here last year with my other half and two children for a week all inclusive... We all had the best time ever! Hotel is located in a great place with shops and the beach less than 5 minute walk away. Our room was more like an apartment and was so modern and had everything we needed. The receptionist even put a selection of sandwiches, snacks and drinks in our fridge...

Really nice apartments, went there with my partner for a week and loved it. It’s located 10 minutes from the beach. Owner is really nice and welcoming. If we go back to Crete, will book it again

Stayed at these appartments a number of years ago with my wife. So relaxing at that point it was owned by an elderly couple who were so welcoming I have been to many places in Greece and although the accommodation was basic the atmosphere was so warm. Quiet location ideal for the village I loved the place

Nice place very kind hosts. Hosts seems strange at the beginning, but be sure they are really friendly and helpfull. They like children very much. Theirs english is not perfect but can be understood. Rooms have small kitchenette. We had room with one bedroom with double bed and two single beds. Has small balcony.

My family loved this hotel. Everything is 5-stars in my book. If I could give 10 stars, I would give it to the staff. One example of why I feel this was is that we had to depart at about 4:00am. They made sure we had breakfast boxes that we could take with us. They woke up early to make this happen. We were all touched by their caring service.

The hotel is one minute walking from the harbour but still in a very quiet area. The rooms are big and confortable with a nice bathroom. The cherry on the top of the cake was the staff, all very friendly. Strongly recommend this hotel. And after being there i discovered that this was an historical building throughout the years.

The service was fantastic from Flora and Rula, but to carry suitcases up 4 flights of many winding steps for seniors is undoubtedly, would never stay here again for that reason, the breakfast was great, the room was old, small and dark, we switched to Domus Blanc with an elevator that blew Colombo out of the water.
