We stayed for a week at the hotel, and everything was great from the beginning. The room was really nice with lots of space and a balcony towards the street. Pool area was great, small-ish pool but it wasn’t crowded at any point during our stay. There’s a taxi point on the beach, which we used a lot for our trips to old town or othef places. Got back two days ago. Excellent hotel, a bit far from the center (old town), but the staff is very polite, rooms are clean and everything is new. It has absolutely all you need plus very very nice service. Two girls and one guy from the reception are very helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you rent a car or don't mind paying for taxi to go to the center. ☺️

I stayed in these apartments for two weeks at the beginning of June this year. The apartments are in a good quiet location in Platanias, very close to the beach and many restaurants. A bus stop is near by with a regular service to Rethymno. The apartments themselves fairly basic in terms of kitchen space and equipment but exceptionally clean . Surprisingly although not advertised breakfast is included! We have just returned from an excellent stay at Ikones Seafront Luxury Suites. The location of the hotel was fantastic being right in front of the beach. The long flat promenade was ideal for my wife who has some mobility issues as she was able to walk easily with her rollator. Staying at the hotel for the second time we realized that is still a great hotel with some ups and downs. Ups: Service, location, pool, spacious room with kitchen and very friendly staff. Downs: The spa treatment are too expensive ( double the price of a regular treatment), coffee at breakfast is a disappointment and the beds are rather soft. Still worth going there but be aware of the downs.

We had a pleasant stay here. The location is excellent — just far enough from the noisy seafront to be peaceful, yet only a short walk to the beach and the old town. They also have a beach area. This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Rimondi Boutique Hotel and it was as perfect as the first time. The customer service is excellent and Room 7 was excellent as it was spread over two floors with a balcony overlooking the street and additional outside sunbathing area which wasn’t overlooked. Beautiful location and ease of access. Unfortunately parking is hard if you organise a hire car. Amenities are beautiful and the welcome gifts and morning breakfast were great. Just off the main markets and plenty of fine dining options literally steps from the hotel.

Miscommunication about the parking was a bit of a problem but got sorted out eventually. The manager and staff’s hospitality made up for any inconvenience.

The hotel is right on the waterfront, a 20-minute walk from Rethymno. We booked half board and had a delicious five-course dinner (drinks are an extra charge, but inexpensive). The hotel isn't new, but everything is in good condition, and it offers excellent value for money.

Had an excellent stay at the Apollon Hotel. Very friendly, clean and relaxing. Beautiful hotel in a great location. The old town just a short stroll away in one direction and the beach and promenade in the other direction. The Avli Lounge apartments are beautiful! We stayed in the Candy Suite for about four days. As mentioned in several reviews, location is excellent, and we were able to walk everywhere. Both Stelios' and Nickos were always available and helpful for everything. Do note that there is no elevator as the hotel is in Old Town and they preserve the structures. That also means you have cobblestone streets...

The Hotel provides great recommendations, very clean rooms, and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Parking on the street can be difficult but the location and this hotel is worth the effort. I highly recommend the Menta City Boutique Hotel.

Menta City Hotel is a 5 Star property in my book! The lobby, pool area and breakfast area are all beautifully decorated. Rooms are exceptional. Complimentary breakfast is delicious!

We had the most amazing time at this hotel. Not because the hotel was very tastefully put together and the amenities were ideal, but because the staff here put so much effort into us enjoying our stay. Wonderful welcoming hotel in a perfect location in that part of Crete. Very close to many tavernas, bars and shops also easy access to the main highway if you hire a car. We really enjoyed our stay in the split level suite. Spacious, clean and modern. The hotel is located close to the beach and restaurants and shops. Really peaceful and always plenty of loungers around the pool. Staff were very friendly and the pool side snacks also very good. Cocktails were exceptional. Would definitely recommend. This was our third visit, I wrote ahead asking for our old room, arrived to find we were placed in a double room with a generous balcony on the second floor over the breakfast area. Excellent hotell with incrediable staff. Perfect situation, just next to Rethymnon city centre. the breakfast consist of many Greece incredients, and is at least enough. (It’s our third stay in this hotell, and we will come back soon again).

Breakfast is ok but it could have been more to choose from. The presentation of the food and the breakfastroom inside could have been more appealing.

We stayed here in the first week in July and received a warm, friendly, family welcome. Our room was perfect with the best shower in Crete.
