Pinelopi Hotel in Rethymno

We had a wonderful stay at the Pinelopi Hotel in Platanes, Crete. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Pinelopi and her friendly family-run team, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Receptionist Panagiota was a treasure, and even WhatsApped us suggestions of great restaurants and sights to visit. Even the bus timetable! The hotel is beautifully kept, spotlessly clean, and provides a quiet, cozy atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing.
The air conditioning worked wonderfully to keep the room cool at night. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the kitchenette was well equipped with everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was reliable.
The lovely pool area was clean and well-maintained with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The location is perfect, the beach and a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants were just a short walk away, along with convenient access to buses for exploring nearby towns like Rethymno and Chania.
We really appreciated the calm location close to both the beach and amenities without any noise disturbances. Top marks for location, friendliness and value for money - we are already planning our next visit.

The family run Hotel Pinelopi was immaculately clean and the pool area well kept and gorgeous. Location was brilliant: no noise at all but very close to town, beach and buses to get around. Staff were knowledgeable, welcoming, very friendly and helpful. At breakfast, the choice was extensive and there was something for everyone's taste and dietary needs. This was replenished regularly and everything was fresh. Our room overlooking the garden was a decent size. The balcony a lovely place to read and for an evening drink. The only tweak that would have added to our stay for those lazy pool days would have been access to drinks and snacks on site . The shops are just a little walk but a pool bar would have been even better.

Supert lite hotell!

Perfect location for beach and restaurants. Pinelopi was very helpful and spoke excellent English. We loved our room with the 2 balconies, which kept the room cool at night. It was a very relaxing place to stay.

I stayed in these apartments for two weeks at the beginning of June this year. I had never stayed here before but, as a regular visitor to Platanes, I had seen them in passing and thought they looked lovely. Best decision I ever made. The apartments are quite basic but spotlessly clean, and quite roomy. The owner, Maria, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The pool is amazing and again, spotlessly clean. The cleaning lady was fab, between her broken English and my broken Greek we got along nicely, she supplied me with an iron and anything else I asked for, very impressed. It was very quiet when I was there as it was the beginning of the season, but that suited me, I needed a rest, and I got it. The location could not be more perfect. When you go out of the apartments, turn left and you are two minutes walk from the beach, turn right and you are two minutes walk to get to the supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops, taxi rank, car hire, bus stop, cash points etc. You honestly couldn't ask for more. There is also a hairdressing salon on your way to the shops, I would recommend her too, she does hair for men and women. The apartment was lovely, I was on my own so it was perfect for me. The water pressure in the shower was excellent (had to mention that!) There are ample pots, pans, dishes and cutlery if you want to cook, lovely little fridge, the wi-fi is great honestly couldn't have wanted more. Would recommend these apartments to anyone, would not hesitate to book again.

The apartments are in a good quiet location in Platanias, very close to the beach and many restaurants. A bus stop is near by with a regular service to Rethymno. The apartments themselves fairly basic in terms of kitchen space and equipment but exceptionally clean . Surprisingly although not advertised breakfast is included! There is a wide selection and the coffee is very good. Nadia was very helpful.

Amazing place to stay and get rest, if there is option to give a 10 stars I would give. Perfect location, just a few minutes from a beautiful beach. Very clean and organised. And about hospitality I can say who ever comes there it will feel like at home, very polite and warm people, specially beautiful and cheerful girl Penelope who will always help you and make your holiday perfect. I will definitely come back. I have found perfect place to stay in Crete , no need to search more. My warm recommendation to everyone to stay at this wonderful apartments.

Excellent family owned hotel at Platanias, 5km from Rethimno center. *
Fully equipped studios just 5min. from the beach, the bus stop, the market, everything is so close by, and yet perfectly situated to relax and unwind.
Filoxenia (hospitality) is their middle name and their profession, too!
Feel free to ask the manager Pinelopi for advice and her tips will make you eat, drink and have a splendid time like a local.
