If you want to relax and enjoy the beach then this place is perfect. We enjoyed having a kitchenette so that when we wanted a little break from the beach, we could quickly go back to our room and have a snack. I visit Crete often, I found this stay to be one of the best I’ve had. The hotel is quiet and very peaceful, but the staff are unbelievably helpful. I had some issues with my hire car and Mike phoned the company for me and translated, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, it’s been my favourite stay so far while in Crete.

I booked my flight just two days before departure, and this hotel happened to be available — what a find! It’s hands down the best value-for-money accommodation I’ve experienced. Everything was great, spacious room, the view is incredible..just the bathrooms need work, the shower wasn’t working properly and no hot water the second night.

We were provided a list of excursions available through a local tour operator. The front desk staff was helpful in booking the excursion and arranged a bagged meal to be left in our suite as pick-up times didn't allow us to use the breakfast buffet.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Crete. We have been in Crete for 5 weeks and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed.

Well located but felt more like a hostel. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Overall it was ‘fine’, but we were disappointed as we expected better from the photos. Great location near the lively side of town but still quiet in the room. We didn’t have a balcony so the room was quite dark and dingy. The lights flickered so we couldn’t leave them on. Roof top access was quite cool in the evening. Self check in was seamless. Highly recommending VENETO hotel. Beautiful high quality furnishing and Charm of Old Town.Stuff was very helpful and always eager to help. Service great and entire experience very positive. We loved to stay there and walking to all great restaurants and shops in the place full of vibrant energy and beautiful old streets.

Located in the old town in Rethymno . The buffet breakfast was very good- several selections. Staff very friendly, helpful. The Sommelier went out of her way to help us find a good restaurant nearby as Hotel restaurant was not open yet. Lovely building with lots of character. Shelagh and Clark Russell Canada

The room was very clean .The hosts had cake for us ,which was very nice ,thank you.No complaints about the propertyat all One thing I would like to mention though was ,there were 3 adults and we only had the one key to share amongst us, which made it a little difficult if one wanted to stay out later or go out .Mr Giannis was very detailed in his messages about where to park,which was VERY helpful...

The location, in the heart of old town, the room was very clean and tidy, the owner was super nice. A small fridge and nice bathroom. Below the hotel there ws s gyros place, which was nice. Walking distance to harbour, fortress of Rethymno, 10 min walk to the beach. Perfect for a 3 days stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Polyxenia Suites! Giannis was such a kind and gracious host. He was very flexible with us and always quick to respond. We loved the personal touches: delicious coffee and homemade wine and cake from his mother and family. The view of the city is beautiful and the AC was a life saver. We had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation in Crete and look forward to staying...

Great location in old town. Walkable to all attractions, restaurants and shopping. Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the city and great mosque. Our host is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The hospitality was fantastic, the room was spacious and clean, and the area is great! Parking was a bit tough, but that goes with staying in such a great location.
