Hokkaido, Asahikawa, 5-8, Midoribasi-dori 🧭 Map
The hotel is located in the heart of Asahikawa , close to the Heiwa dori shopping area the Asahikawa station and the parks around there. Even it is a bit old but the room is spacious.
The bathroom is quite old, but it s ok, fully equipped.
There is a parking area behind the hotel. You need to pay the hotel for the parking fee, including accomodation tax per person per night. All staff were nice.
The room was compact yet perfectly functional, offering a nice view of the city street. Despite being located in a convenient area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.
I was impressed by the comprehensive amenities provided; they had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. However, the true highlight was the exceptional service from the staff, who were incredibly...
Helpful staff and parking is nearby. Easy to access. Good location and quite room.
The room is clean but a bit far from the station. Suitable for those with a private car.
It was an old hotel, but it seemed well-maintained, so I had a good time.
The room was quite small and old but the breakfast was great!

It was luxurious and I was very satisfied.
The large public bath was also clean and comfortable.
I would definitely like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
The food was a little too strong for our liking, but the content and quantity were just right.
The Tamura Masaka show was really good. I was really impressed.
Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the hot springs ♨️ were also great!
The hotel is large but the facilities are old. The only bright spot is the lake view outside the window.
The front desk staff was very serious and had a great attitude! When I left the hotel, the staff waved goodbye at the door, which was very touching!
The hotel is old and next to the railway track. The lights in the room are dim and every switch is old. It costs nearly $3000 RMB a night. I think the cost performance is too low!

Hokkaido, Chitose, 5-6-1, Saiwai-cho 🧭 Map
For Japan, the room wasn't small; it was actually pretty good. You could easily open two or three suitcases without any issues. For a 'pigeon-coop' hotel in Japan, you can't ask for much more. The lady at the front desk and a slightly plump guy were both very enthusiastic and had excellent attitudes. I went during a very sensitive time, and there were absolutely no problems. I'm not sure if they spoke...
You have to make your own beds in the Japanese family room 😂. Otherwise, everything else was good, and they offer a free airport shuttle.
Comfortable stay near Chitose Airport, clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient amenities. Quiet atmosphere, good value, easy transport access, perfect for short layovers or early flights and smooth check-in process.
Nice room but too tiny nad small. Overall ok for the travller that wanna catch early flight form chitose.
Pretty good. It's a nice place for a stopover. It has a bathtub, a fridge, and it's clean and tidy. Everything was good. It's also close to the airport.
I booked this hotel as I needed to fly out early from Chitose. Overall I would stay again. I arrived at 12pm but wasn't able to check in until 3pm but my luggage could be stored. The rooms are SMALL but practical, no complaints. The TV has all the local stations - couldn't find any english stations. It is closeby the train station and shopping mall, so easy to go out and grab a bite to eat. I noticed...

I stayed at the hotel above, and since it's Kitami, I thought I'd have yakiniku for dinner, but somehow it got too much hassle, so I ended up here on the first floor of the hotel.
The right choice. The zangi and belly harasu were very filling, and the scallops and hokuriku yakitori were fresh and delicious. The salmon roe bowl at the end was available in a mini size, so it was just the right amount...
I visited my favorite izakaya (Japanese pub) after a very long time.
The all-you-can-drink option is cheap, so I can always get drunk without worrying about the cost.
The staff are all young, but they are all very friendly and helpful, and I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably until the very end.
Also, all the dishes served were delicious, and I ate way too much.
I'll definitely come again soon,...
I visited this restaurant during my trip to Kitami in July 2025. ^ - ^
The hotel I stayed at didn't have a restaurant open in the evening, and while many nearby restaurants allowed smoking, this one was non-smoking, clean, and had spacious, comfortable seats. ♪
I ordered via smartphone, and the tea was brought to me promptly, and the food was also delivered in a timely manner. ^ - ^

Kitami is a very small city. The department store opposite closes at 18:30, the fresh food supermarket has almost no cooked food, and only 3 gourmet restaurants on the 6th floor are open!
The hotel room and bathroom are very small, standard Japanese family space; if you compare the room rate and facilities, it is a bit expensive!
Good quality price ratio for this hotel in Obihiro, glad to be back

Hokkaido, Sapporo, 2-8-1 Kita 2 Jonishi, Chuo-ku 🧭 Map
The location is good, not far from the main commercial district. Sapporo city itself isn't that big, so there's no need to choose a hotel near Sapporo Station unless it's during the snowy season.
Facilities: The overall design is simple and elegant, and the room is quite spacious. The only thing that's a bit hard to comment on is the placement of the sink; everything else is fine.
Very good location. Helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast with 2 options to choose from. Clean and well maintained room.
The hotel’s location was great, in between Sapporo and Odori station. Was easy to get to places we wanted to go and around the main visiting places as well.
This was the hotel I regretted booking the most on this Japan trip. The location wasn’t very convenient it’s quite a walk to the station if you’re dragging luggage, and it’s also a bit far from the shopping streets. The worst part was that housekeeping only came once every three or four days, including basic things like making the bed. That made the stay quite uncomfortable.
This hotel is very near to both JR Sapporo and Sapporo subway station, within 10 min walking distance.
Also, it is easy to walk to Tanikokuji / Susukino street, as well as Odori park.
In terms of facilities, beds are good for 2 people, and well equipped with fridge, hot shower, etc. And it also have public laundry machines, vending machines, book lounge, last but not least the most significant one...
stayed at JR Inn Sapporo Kita 2 Jo from 13–17 February 2026, and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is conveniently located about an 8-minute walk from Sapporo Station, which made getting around very easy. Even though the city was beautifully blanketed in snow, the roads were well maintained and accessible, so walking to and from the station was not an issue.
The room was cosy, comfortable, and...

Very beautiful hotel with splendid view
1km2 from bus station so contact hotel before for can take the mini bus free to the hotel
Dinner is a wonderful buffet
The hot spring was fantastic, and they even have laundry facilities. Only the dryer costs money, the washing machine is free.
Just a few minutes' walk from Abashiri Bus Station, and about a 15-minute walk to the icebreaker terminal. Across the bridge behind the hotel, there's a local supermarket with lots of great deals, and also a pharmacy.
The view from the hotel window is beautiful; you can see many geese on the other side of the river.
The hotel has a hot spring, free popsicles on the 9th floor, and you can borrow manga...
The hotel is conveniently located between Abashiri Station and the icebreaker terminal, both within walking distance. The bus center is even closer, offering easy access to the Okhotsk Ryuhyo Museum (Drift Ice Museum) on Mount Tento and Abashiri Prison. A quick tip: make sure to book your icebreaker cruise in advance, as tickets are often hard to come by on the spot.
The room, ambiance, hot springs, and breakfast were all very satisfying. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop, making travel easy. Unfortunately, we couldn't take the icebreaker cruise due to the weather, but we'll definitely be back next time.
Hotel is very clean, amenities are okay (onsen is a little small - no tattoos allowed). Hotel provides ice creams, probiotic drinks and ramen during certain hours. Breakfast were fantastic. Recommended for those who needs to stay overnight in Abarashi!

Good: The staff at Haiyokan were very accommodating. Although I used public transportation, the bus stop was conveniently close. There are also two convenience stores nearby. I loved the facial cleanser provided in the hot spring area so much that I bought some.
Bad: The buffet for both breakfast and dinner was at a different hotel across the street, which was inconvenient as we had to go outside...
Although a bit dated, the hotel is well-maintained. It's very quiet with few tourists, and the rooftop hot spring is a nice bonus. Both breakfast and dinner are served at the new building across the street, which was a great experience. It's also very close to the zoo and botanical garden, and getting to JR station by taxi is super convenient.
This was the last lodging on my Hokkaido trip.
I chose a 10-tatami room. It was very spacious and clean, and even with two futons laid out, there was still plenty of room around, making it easy to pack and relax.
The hot spring on the top floor was also spacious, with hot, normal, and lukewarm water options available in the inner bath, and just one normal-temperature bath in the open-air bath.

I really enjoyed this hot spring hotel. On Mondays, it was so crowded that the entire place was practically reserved. It's said that the former shogunate soldier, Hijikata, bathed there. The water is a saline spring. The dinner was rich and delicious, especially the stew. It was perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal while looking out at the sea.
h is very quiet and clean. This time I stayed in a tatami room. The view outside is also good. You can see the sea. There is a hot spring on one side, which should have some therapeutic effect. From inside, you can see the scenery of the surrounding city, so it is not so isolated.
It has a nice onsen, loved it. Entrance is big and it has own big parking area front of the hotel which was very comfortable.

Excellent customer service. Staff assisted us in figuring out how to ship luggage back to home country. Also allowed luggage storage before check in and after check out. Onsen was excellent
The front desk staff were very helpful and easy to understand. The staff were also very considerate, which was great. The only downside was that there was no hotel guide in the room, and the instructions for things like adjusting the room temperature were in small letters that were hard to read. I think it would have been nice if there were at least some large letters for those kinds of instructions...
The hot spring facilities are great for soothing your tired body. The downtown area is within walking distance, so it's very convenient.
It was nice to have a large public bath.

Great location, very convenient for getting around. Compared to other hotels, this one offers more space and wider beds, probably two 1.5-meter beds. It's also within walking distance to Odori Park and Sapporo Station.

Hotel was location at central area with alot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Hotel staffs are friendly. Room is very basic and small but clean. There are also free amenities anyone can collect next to reception area which is good to have. Overall a good experience at the hotel!
Room is spacious. It's good that they have shuttle bus to airport.
The staff very friendly and helpful but they provide us smoking room even if we asked for non smoking. They said was a Trip.com problem that didn’t communicate well. Good location, comes with a complimentary drink. Good!
Great location right opposite the Tanukikoji shopping street, making it very convenient for shopping and food. The hotel also has a private lift that goes directly to the basement, which connects to the subway, so you don’t need to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs. Check in and check out were very smooth and easy. Guests also receive a daily drink voucher that can be redeemed for free drinks...

Very big lobby and seemed to be a really big hotel but we arrived late just to stay the night. Room was ok sized for 3, not the most spacious but adequate.
I stayed in a room with a great view.
The room was comfortable.
I also enjoyed a delicious meal at the Chinese restaurant, Taoyuan.
However, the shop closed early, so I wasn't able to look around for souvenirs, which was a shame.
The location was great, close to the station.
It would have been nice if the hotel had a few more facilities.
It would have been better if the meeting space in front of the front desk had been a little more open.
It's conveniently located near the station and restaurants.
There's an affiliated parking lot next door, so parking is easy.
The facility isn't new, but it's perfectly usable.
It seemed like the number of customers had decreased compared to before,
but the reception staff's service was first-rate. I thought it was wonderful.
I hope they bring back the hokki curry for the breakfast buffet.
I'd like to visit again.
Because our itinerary was too rushed the previous day, Tomakomai became our transit point. We also planned to go to the Shiraro Beef Festival the next day. Looking at the map, Tomakomai was the perfect place.
It's a landmark traditional hotel. Breakfast is served on the rooftop with a nice view.

room size is bigger than expected. immaculately clean as you would expect from any hotels in Japan. location is superb, 5 mins walk to train station. 7 eleven is just opposite of the hotel and plenty of food places nearby. tea/coffee/snacks offered throughout the day for free!

Worse than expected. There were many hidden dirty spots. The sink drainage was blocked, causing water to pool easily. The bathroom floor had yellow stains, and the toilet had a strange smell. It wasn't clean at all, quite disappointing. The worst part was the tissue box; the cover was torn and still being used, and the tissues inside had no packaging. Really unhygienic.
