Lovely hotel. Really enjoyed the stay. Very clean, well built hotel. Run by friendly staff.
The pictures are just random, but the environment is really great! You can self-check-in, and the staff are super friendly. The location is also fantastic, right next to Hachiman-zaka slope, and you step out to a beautiful ocean view.
First off, the location of this guesthouse is fantastic. It's only a three-minute walk to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses, and getting to other places is also convenient. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Have been staying here ever since I first travelled in Hakodate, and I have to say it's still as good as before. The hotel is located minutes away from a tram station and just beside the Red Brick Warehouse area. Towels and amenities are provided, bunk room and bed are big and comfortable. Will continue staying at this hotel when I come back again in the future.
Deep guided tour of Hakodate. The hotel is right by the sea. Such beautiful ocean views, and on the other side, it's very convenient to get to the top of Mount Hakodate.

Hokkaido, Sapporo, 1-5, Nishi 9-chome, Minami-1-jo 🧭 Map
Professional staff made me feel highly valued and respected. I wish they had more amenities but the price is reasonable.
The staff is so helpful, thoughtful, and kind. We enjoyed the ease of stay and hospitality.
Stayed here for four nights during the Snow Festival and it was at least 100$ cheaper per night than other area hotels. Brand new, spotless, and exactly what you know and expect from APA. It was around a 10-15 minute walk to Susukino and the main shopping street, hence the lower price, but that’s totally ok. About a 20 minute walk via underground passage to Sapporo Station. Check in and check out...
Stayed four nights here. Very newly opened property near Odori Park. Everything about the hotel and my room feels very fresh and clean. If you have stayed in other APA hotels, then this one shouldn't be much different. Kind and friendly staff all around. Complimentary breakfast was provided by the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, and it was decent. The hotel is within walking distance to the...
The room is good & clean even a bit tiny. Location is very good in central down town & near the snow festival area so you can fully enjoy the festival without worried about transportation & time. It have too easy breakfast only set mune either Japanese or Westhern no other variety. Without onsen.
The hotel is located at the most strategic area in Sapporo. From here, you can take the public transport, either the tram or the bus to the railway station and from there, travel all across Hokkaido or Sapporo. I had the two-single bed room and it has all the facilities to make our stay a great one. It has the electric kettle and tea. The bathroom has all the usual, and more, amenities such as hair...

The hotel was very nice with a lots of plug socket but it was far from susukino station
great hotel, location is a bit further from the main city but walkable to susukino! good amenities and friendly staff
Connecting room is perfect for the family of four. You also get 2 baths. Our rooms ere cleaned everyday. Brekfast is also good. Way going to hotel, is a challenge due to icy paths, please wear your spikes.
Hotel is 10 mins away from the subway However , the cleaning is every 3 nights so need to consider.
Sapporo-Hokkaido, a nice city with so much to offer! Everything was more than adequate and Smile Hotel can truly put a Smile on your face! One thing I do like to have is a bathtub, which the room didn't have but the shower was upgraded, the room large compared to some Western style rooms. There is a very nice onsen within walking distance from the hotel. You're a short walking distance to subway...
The hotel's location is great, very close to the city center, about a 15-minute walk. The front desk service was excellent and very attentive, always willing to help. There's a Lawson convenience store right across from the main entrance, which is super convenient.

I stayed here on a sudden solo trip, but because it was a last-minute flight, only smoking rooms were available, and the smell was a bit strong for non-smokers. Dinner and breakfast were as delicious as the reviews said, and I thought it was very good.
The accommodation fee was very expensive. I had no choice but to book it because there were no other hotels available, but the room I stayed in would normally cost less than 10,000 yen. But the accommodation fee was almost double that. The rest of the hotel was average.
My family and I stayed at the Shizunai Express Hotel after enjoying the Monbetsu Horse Racing. Although it's an older hotel, it's well-kept and very comfortable. The bathroom has a large mirror, which makes it easy to use a hair dryer and apply makeup, but since you're standing the whole time, a folding chair would be very convenient. The breakfast has a wide variety and is delicious. They even provide...
When the reception was over, we were given water and bath salts. The parking lot was spacious and easy to use. The breakfast had a wide variety of items and was very good. We were also given a box of two rice balls for lunch. This time, the plan allowed us to choose the room, so we got a family room lol
I chose this hotel because it had a reputation for its delicious breakfast, and it was the right choice. The buffet menu was extensive, with so many options that it was impossible to eat it all in one meal, and it's a hotel I'd like to visit again. It was Setsubun, so they also served Ehomaki. The giant snow crab miso soup was delicious. I was given two rice balls for my lunch. I think this hotel has...
It was an interesting hotel, with breakfast coupons with a horse racing betting motif. The facilities were clean and I was satisfied. I'd like to visit again.

The exterior and interior are both beautiful. The parking lot is small, but they guided me to a nearby vacant lot so I didn't have to search for a parking space myself. The staff were polite and there were many good options for the price, but personally I would prefer it to be a little closer to the downtown area.
I stayed here on a business trip! The hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and I was able to relax and soothe my travel fatigue. The complimentary bath salts are a great help in the cold of Hokkaido. The luxurious breakfast is delicious!! If you are staying here, I highly recommend booking with breakfast included.
I stayed here on a business trip, and the lunch provided in a bento box was delicious. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The private rooms were clean and equipped with toilets and bathrooms. Depending on the season, high school students may stay here for marathon competitions, but it was a very nice hotel.
Although it is a little old, the staff were very kind and it was very nice. There is no bath. Due to a sudden change of plans, I had to extend my stay by one night, but they were happy to accommodate me.
This is a comfortable hotel with excellent facilities and staff.
There was a misunderstanding in the reservation, and when I thought I could stay cheaply, it ended up being a normal price. If you don't have proof of injection, it won't be cheap💉💦💦 When I made the reservation, it was only written that there was a case to confirm the submission, so I misunderstood that it was not absolutely necessary 😭😭😭 And, whether it's a gag on the part of the front desk or what...

It's not far from Sapporo Station. There's a Family Mart nearby. Check in and get ice cream.
I stayed here for a concert at Sapporo Dome. The location was perfect, just off the underground passage. The walls were thin, so noise from the neighboring rooms echoed, but it was acceptable for the price. However, despite the large public bath, there were no slippers provided (room slippers were available), and the old shampoo bottles in the room's bathroom were hardened and dripping (even if...
Nice location and near to the autumn festival. Very convenient and there was free ice cream service for customers every night
I stayed at this hotel for three nights, starting on September 1st, because it was the closest to the Kanamoto Hall for a concert. It's a bit of a walk from Sapporo Station, but it's conveniently located right after exiting the underground passage. This hotel was absolutely perfect for the price, exceeding all my expectations! The lobby bar on the first floor offers complimentary hot drinks, and it seems there's even a gym available for use. The room was meticulously clean and came equipped with a women's toiletry kit and other amenities. It's just a three-minute walk to Hakodate JR Station and the bus terminal. Right across the street is Hakodate...
The hotel service was pretty good, with smiling faces at check-in. In the afternoon, there was a faint, recurring noise, but it was never resolved. We walked directly to and from Mount Hakodate. Oh, and on the second floor, there's a ping-pong and pool table. The facilities are quite basic, but it's still fun to play a bit.
Had a nice comfortable stay! Room is spacious, staff really polite and helpful. They're is a very nice lobby space with free drinks for guests of the hotel. I happened to have the greatest view, ships in the bay Location is great! Very close to the station and morning fish market. Area around has lots of restaurants and cafe.
Room is big, very near to the tram, about 5 mins away from JR Hakodate station, there’s a 7-11 opposite, very convenient
The hotel is conveniently located just 300 meters from JR Hakodate Station, with easy access to major attractions like Goryokaku Park, Tachimachi Cape, Hachiman-zaka Slope, and Hakodateyama Observation Deck via tram and bus. Hakodate Morning Market and Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained...

Nice location if you drive to there. Old japanese style room. Convenience store is just near the building.
The location was good for sightseeing. However, the facilities were old and the cleaning was poor.
About 20 minutes walk from the station. It's fine except for the smell of cigarettes in the bathroom. There is a large bath, but I was too tired to go. It's a cheap and good place to stay near Hakodate Station.
Service with a smile. The place is old but the staff were charming. Excellent customer service.
I had cold tanuki soba. It was a very good 28 soba. There is also a daily lunch, and I think it's a little-known spot. However, the inside of the store is too dark and it is difficult to find the menu (laughs)

The hot spring is a little small. Other than that, it's pretty standard.
A great stay, though it would be even better if the room had less cigarette smoke. It's also not far from many attractions, so you can easily visit most of them on foot during a day trip to Kushiro.
Excellent budget hotel. The room I got was small, but had a large and very comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was included with my room, but note that it's only served until 8:30. I got down there around 8:20, by which point most of what was on offer had become either cold, soggy, or both. If you're enthusiastic about breakfast I recommend getting down there early. ...
The room is too small, with bunk beds. Three people stayed with a baby. There was no place to put the suitcases. That's it, just a one night stay.

Typical business hotel in the middle of Wakkanai. The only disappointment was the carpet with a lot of stains of I have no idea what. But overall nothing special.
The room was quite spacious; I booked a four-person room. It's an older hotel, and many Japanese motorcyclists stay here. There are yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurants nearby, and it's close to Minami-Wakanai Station (a 30-minute walk to Wakkanai JR Station) and a 15-minute walk to Sugunato Seafood Market. facilities on the older side  think 1980s, rooms are not too sound proof either  i could hear everything happening in my left and right, and above, and on the streets below  is okay for the non fussy traveler  not many amenities too
Very good, nothing to say, clean room, top-notch service. Their partnership with the onsen at the hotel next door is great.
The staff were very friendly and there were restaurants and Rokkatei within walking distance, which was convenient (*^^*)
I didn't realize there would be food, so I just got what was on the menu. I didn't even ask, so I assumed the hotel wouldn't provide anything. I received the usual service. The man at the front desk was very friendly and had a nice smile. I was grateful that the toilet and bathroom in the room were clean.

Everything was great. Proximity to the Asahikawa station was very useful and helpful, especially with all the snow. The amenities were nice. I especially liked the apple tea. Breakfast was an affordable nice buffet with plenty of options to choose from. Seating was easy to get.

The hotel definitely needs to improve on their cleanliness. There are lashes extension found at the bath tub, sink and around the toilet ( should be from the previous guest)upon check in. Beautiful views, old retro feel… which we liked but it is very odd feeling. Rooms were fine, very retro.
Hokkaido is a very unique city, and this is a very cost-effective hotel. Outside the window is the Sea of Japan, and you can see many seagulls. The house is not too small, has all the facilities, and is very comfortable for one person to live in.
Take National Highway 278 directly opposite Hakodate Station and walk for about 20 minutes. You can take the bus. Big room clean. A little empty and really old decoration, but the bed was great. I even had a big private tub for taking a bath !
The triple room we booked was spacious and well maintained. Bathroom was huge with an onsen bathtub and we are very pleased with our stay. This is good value for money. Onsite carpark was ¥500 overnight.
Didn’t expect the room to be so big!! and it comes with a balcony where we could enjoy city view and sunset. Bath room is spacious too, very rare found in Japan
The hotel resembles an old apartment building. The rooms are enormous, the largest I've ever stayed in a large Japanese hotel. The facilities are somewhat dated, but that doesn't affect usability. The location is a bit out of the way, with limited dining options nearby. Unlike newer hotels, there are no direct USB ports. Otherwise, everything is fine and quite good, including a delicious breakfast
The room was spacious with nice amenities and some extra service in the lobby. It was a great stay.
Of all the hotels in Obihiro, this one is the cheapest. While there's parking, it's cramped and requires careful handling. The elevator is also cramped, but the room is quite large. The bathroom is like a large bathhouse, but the facilities are dated. Not a good place to stay.
