There's a hot spring bathhouse on the basement level, which is convenient for showering, and toiletries can be picked up for free in the lobby, which is well-stocked. Hotel Kunugigaoka Otaru is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city, right by the sea. It's conveniently located, perfect for a snowy stroll. I enjoyed delicious 'chame' barbecue, visited the Music Box Antique Museum, and the Japanese Ukiyo-e Art Museum, among other places.

Smooth check-in process. Staffs were very courteous and helpful. The Odori station exit 1 is just next to the hotel and access to the underground shopping area is few distance away. Instead of taking bus to the airport we chose to walk along the underground path all the way to Sapporo station which makes it easy for us in the winter. Everything’s prefect and wonderful.

I had to go to a conference, but I wanted to make some fun memories for my kids, so I stayed here with them, as it has a pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Two of the water slides were closed, so it seems they're only open every day on weekends this month. Even without them, we were able to play in the pool until 9:00 PM and then relax in the hot springs.

The buffet had a variety of options and was delicious. I was able to eat a lot of crab, which was great. There was a TV in the bathroom in the room. The pool and hot springs were great. If you're afraid of heights, the elevator might be scary... I'll post a photo, even though it's not very photogenic.
