The smell of mildew is really strong; it's quite awful. I'd advise against staying here.

The first room assigned to us had a very strong and strange smell. It was unbearable — like a strong chemical smell after renovation, very irritating.
The staff said they would use an air circulation machine and that it would take about four hours. We could not stay in the room during that time. However, when we returned, the smell was still there. They then offered us another room, and we appreciate the arrangement. That said, it was very tiring to move to another room late at night after we had already unpacked our luggage.
Personally, I would suggest not taking the risk and booking another hotel instead. There are plenty of other hotels nearby.
Also, it is already 2026, yet the hotel only accepts a cash deposit of 3,000 Thai Baht and does not accept credit cards for the deposit. Please make sure to prepare enough cash for this.

Great location, and it's pretty quiet at night. The night market and beach are conveniently close. However, there was a moldy smell in the room. The pool was nice, but breakfast was just okay.

The room was absolutely terrible, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I have no idea how Trip.com partners with places like this. The moment I walked into the room, the musty smell nearly made me sick, and it was the same when I passed by other rooms. The shower stall was so cramped I had to shower sideways, and water kept flowing into the living room, making the floor there moldy and loose. The poor environment caused a severe allergic reaction on my skin. Since this was the last stop of my trip, I didn't want the hassle of moving. This bad review is for the hotel itself, not the staff, who were actually quite good.

Located on Kata Beach Second Road, it's a bit of a walk to the beach, but the hotel service is excellent, there are plenty of dining options nearby, and the ground-floor rooms have direct pool access! It's also not far to walk to the Cliff Cafe!

In room was not mirror. Only a face mirror in bathroom. Balcony was really small and thin. Bed was super hard and when you change position it kept voice.

I'm a Phuket local, so I haven't stayed at the Wekata Luxury hotel, but if it's as good as its restaurant, it must be first-class. I found this gem, also known as Hongu Chinese Restaurant, while searching the internet, and now I happily make the 25-minute drive from my home.
Whenever I'm in the Kata area and want a special meal, this is where I head. The food is consistently excellent! My personal favorites are the Yangzhou fried rice, the scrambled eggs and tomatoes soup, and the Gongbao king prawn dish, everything on the
menu is also very reasonably priced.
The service is truly exceptional. The entire team—especially Nit, Pai, Kie, Sabannga, Mama, and Chef Chen—always make me feel incredibly welcome. They're a wonderful mix of Thai and Chinese staff, and they all speak English, which is a great bonus.
The restaurant is very well run, and all the staff are attentive. On my last visit, I accidentally dropped a chopstick, and before I could even call a waiter, they had noticed and brought me a new set! It's this kind of attention to detail that sets them apart.
The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance. I highly recommend trying the food; you'll be very pleased! Special thanks to Kie, who always greets me with her warm smile.
