Restaurant adjacent had pleasant hostess but breakfast server rude, food cold, service terrible and was told two times that there were no free refills on coffee. To get more coffee had to flag the hostess to have more coffee.

Room was quiet cozy and comfortable. Bathroom a bit stuffy due to minimal ventilation and shower water could does not reach hot temperature. A microwave in the room will suit patrons who utilize lounge there and would like to bring leftovers.

This luxury hotel from the 1990s is very old. The facilities are intact but not advanced. If you like classical style, you can consider it. The service is average, and the key is that the calculation is wrong. I may not choose this hotel again at the same price.

My boyfriend and I were upgraded to an ocean front room for our two night stay. The sunrise was beautiful and we could see it right from our window. The beach was easily accessible as it was across the street from the hotel. The hotel staff and restaurant staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The bed is cheap and perfect for us spending just one night in Miami to leave on a cruise the next day. The signage could be better, we had to rely in other travelers to find our way with the doors and navigating the place. There is a strong body odor scent throughout, but you get what you paid for. The Altair is a beautiful kosher hotel that caters to guests of all ages and religions. The hotel charges a daily resort fee of $50 and $38 for overnight valet parking, so watch out. The restaurant can get very crowded on Shabbat and Jewish holidays. And the sukkah is mostly not kosher by most standards.
