Although our room also offered a good view, the lovely evening breeze enticed us to enjoy the beautiful fireworks from outside. We are also very grateful for the thoughtful attentiveness from the front desk staff

An excellent japanese hotel, you can also experience Japanese hot springs.

The crab legs for dinner were terrible, the beef jerky was tough, the tempura sweet potato was good, but many other dishes were cold

It's very close to the airport. The hot springs on the 1st and 8th floors, though compact, felt very well-appointed. We had a lot of fun playing table tennis after soaking in the hot spring

This year, our trip coincided with the fireworks festival, so we specifically booked this hotel, hoping to be near the launch site, and we had an absolutely wonderful stay

It's not too far from the Red Brick Warehouses and Mount Hakodate, just a few bus stops away

However, the entire night was enveloped in smoke, making it one of the most uncomfortable nights of my life. As soon as morning came, I checked out immediately. Additionally, there were some stains on the bed

The bathroom extractor fan was also pretty useless. I went downstairs to the coffee shop and brought up two cups of coffee to help neutralize the smell. The faint coffee scent made it a little more bearable

It's close to the beach, and there are good restaurants nearby. Overall, if you don't have super high expectations, it's a very good value hotel. I especially loved the hotel breakfast; it was so delicious!

The hotel's location is quite good, close to both Hakodate Station and the airport. You can walk to the station, and a taxi to the airport isn't overly expensive

The front desk service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room felt like a guesthouse from 30 years ago, but the cleanliness was acceptable. The bathroom had an unpleasant odor. The breakfast buffet was good

A bit distance to walk from station. Even if u take a tram, still walk a small distance. Because is winter time, I have hard time walking the icy water. Hotel is good, Very big room, nice

Aside from feeling a bit dim, everything else was pretty good. It seems there's a microwave on every floor, which is very convenient. However, it's a bit of a walk from the JR station, but there's a McDonald's nearby

The only minor drawbacks were its distance from the station and the quiet surroundings. We visited during the off-season, and the streets were quite deserted when we walked back to the hotel at night

The service was good. The room was small and the facilities were a bit old. It's very close to the station, a good location. The breakfast had a wide variety of options.

Good public bath with onsen, cold dip, Sunna room and a semi outdoor area to chill out. The room is big enough, I like the coffee table and extra chair that I use to pack my luggage

The hotel was very clean and located at quite a strategic location. However it is quite small so if you have many luggages then there will be slight problem with space but other than that, all good.

Breakfast is good with lots of colour and a healthy meal. Parking was just behind the hotel.

It’s a great small town where cheap for yakiniku, and not long queue to those popular places like torri (sushi restaurant), phamarcy, nearby drinking place with great atmosphere.

Self check-in, very good. After checking out, you can place your luggage next to the counter and lock it with a password, which is very convenient.

The pillows are too low, but they can provide pillows. They also provide free breakfast and fresh juice. The parking lot is very convenient and you can park at the door of the hotel

Quick overnight stay. Onsite parking not available if you are a little late so you will be directed to park near JR Obihiro. One of the newer rooms I've stayed in in Japan and the complimentary breakfast is a nice touch.

It's not bad if you're traveling solo and just need a place to sleep, though the transportation is a bit inconvenient. However, considering you can walk to Sapporo Station in about 30 minutes, it's not too bad

It's a short walk from Nakajima Park. Just be careful during the snow season. It's very close to Exit 3 of the station, and the park is beautiful. The hotel service was excellent. They provided microwaves, iced drinks

The hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from Nakajima-koen Station Exit 3. If there's snow and you have a lot of luggage, it might take a bit longer. The hotel seems to have been renovated

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, 5 mins walk from JR station and Akan bus terminal where the tour bus to the sightseeing places. The room was quite decent and good enough for us to open 2 pieces of luggages..

This is a business hotel so for foreigners look for the breakfast tickets in foyer which allows you to choose which time you'd like to eat. Make sure to grab one at check in

My stay this time was far from smooth

But none of us is that big, so it works for us, we booked 2 rooms for a family of four. The hotel provides parking for a very reasonable fee of 500 Yen a day

I booked a 17 sqm room, but upon arrival, the hotel said it wasn't available and offered a 13-15 sqm room instead, with no refund for the downgrade – absolutely unheard of! I've only ever known hotels to offer free upgrades when the booked room isn't available, never a downgrade without a refund

Fantastic location. 5 minutes from Hakodate station. Surrounded by great places to eat and drink. Will definitely stay here again.

Good customer service The staff is very friendly and helpful. We are facing some connecting flight issue. The staff member, who is called Kan, was trying to call and check with airlines.

The city tram stops right in front of the hotel making it convenient to reach the two major tourist areas within a few minutes

We stayed in a standard triple room for a night on 29 July out of 5 hotels in Hokkaido that we had pre-booked and we all agreed that this is the best value hotel which we should have stayed longer instead of switching to another hotel (where room price was double) at the Tanuki Koji shopping arcade after our return from Furano

The bathroom was big by Japan standard, layout was very thoughtful with the entrance to the vanity wash basin area and 2 separate doors on each side to the bath and toilet. Wifi was ok and air conditioning is good

Amenities in the room were sufficient and good, they even have separate slippers for take home

Though our room was on the second floor facing the main road but it was not a very busy road. We all slept very well through the night. If returning Sapporo we will stay in this hotel again and for more nights

Close to the arcade undercover trip of Sapporo main tourist district. Very handy laundry, dryer level along with spa, sauna and cold plunge. Thoroughly enjoyed the washes which made my day after being out all day

I always wipe down the tub with an alcohol wipe as soon as I get into a room, and I was genuinely shocked by how clean the wipe stayed – spotless! This time, I got up early to try the hotel breakfast, and just as the reviews raved, it was excellent

Their soup curry!!!! You absolutely HAVE to eat that first!!! Otherwise, you'll end up like me, trying a bunch of other good stuff, only to discover the amazing soup curry later when you have no room left

If you're coming to Daisetsuzan Asahidake and your budget allows for a slight splurge, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It's truly excellent (and I'm used to staying at international chains like Marriott and IHG)

Also, it's best to stay for two nights; a bluebird day is a rare treat. On 'Xiaohongshu' (Little Red Book), this hotel is often compared to the one next door, but purely in terms of the rooms, this one wins hands down

They're very new and spacious. The hotel's dinner is also quite good, seriously. I ate so much salmon and sweet shrimp sashimi at the buffet that I didn't even want any more the next day

The only thing I want to complain about is an older male staff member, I'm not sure if he was a supervisor or something, but his attitude was terrible, as if everyone owed him a lot of money, always with a sour face

It's a sashimi free-for-all! We only came for hiking, but if you're here for skiing, it's even more highly recommended, as it's the closest hotel to the Visitor Center and the ropeway station

If your passing through this boring city this is a good place to stay. On-site free parking is minimal, so arrive early if you’re coming by car, otherwise the secondary parking lot is a bit of a walk.

The hotel is very close to Odori Subway Station, and Sapporo Station is also within walking distance. The room was larger than I expected, and the breakfast was excellent, even featuring sweet shrimp tempura

Check-out is at a strict 10 AM, which is probably standard for Toyoko Inn in Japan, but it feels a bit too early. Check-in, on the other hand, is precisely at 3 PM, not a minute sooner or later.

It seems this is the first Toyoko Inn in Sapporo, so the facilities are a bit dated. On the day I checked in, there were no non-smoking rooms available, so I had to take a smoking room

A great feature for women is the mirrored wall in the area around the TV stand, which solves the common problem of having limited space for getting ready in the morning at hotels

This hotel is superb! The only con I noticed is that, during our stay, they didn't remove the ice blocked formed by snow in front of their vicinity. While we notice other hotels do have clean walkway.
