I love this hotel. Stayed here back in 2019 1st time loved it. And this year when u visit Almaty, we decide to stay here again. Great, clean rooms, nice area. Very unique and modern hotel. Price is very reasonable as well. Cleaning was great, rooms very comfortable.

This small apartment has only seven rooms. The owner owns the adjacent hot pot restaurant, and the hotel apartment is run as a side project. The staff are all part-time employees of the hot pot restaurant, so the expectations aren't as high as those of a professional hotel. Cleanliness is acceptable, though there's a slight smell of barbecue smoke every night. Room linens aren't replaced very promptly...

It's far from the city center, but there's a restaurant next to it. There's a supermarket right below.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and have everything you need (even a robe, slippers, and toothbrushes). The mattress is comfortable. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Situated in a peaceful location, the hotel offered decent value for money. It's a standard hotel, but we were happy to discover some great restaurants and cafes close by!

The room was good, with daily housekeeping that included fresh towels, shampoos, and toothbrushes. We received excellent service and assistance from the front desk. Breakfasts were excellent and started at 7:00 AM, which was very convenient for us as we were leaving for competitions. The hotel's location was also superb.

Very basic room. Old and noisy fridge and air conditioner. Uncomfortable bed and 1 thin pillow is not good enough. The hotel is actually pretty good but the room quality lets it down. Next time in Almaty I would only use this place in an emergency. Not worth the money.

The room was 24sq.m. Quite spacious. The renovation may not be fresh, but it is quite cozy. The worst moment is the shower. Decent hotel, excellent value for money and excellent location: there are two large markets nearby, you can get to all parts of the city by public transport

I do not recommend to anyone who wants to visit them. When we checked in we were told that they had a room for 24 hours 15000tng. But in the morning when I went out and asked about breakfast we were told that they had a paid breakfast. For breakfast we gave 3000tng for two and 15000tng for a room for 10 hours. Of the minuses, there is no smoking in the room and they did not think over the exhaust system...

Really good value for money place to stay in Almaty, especially if you are just transiting through the city. Proximity to train station and airport is ideal. It was not bad, very friendly at the reception. Just I didn't like that they were not cleaning the room every day. And I didn't like the smell of towels . Can't explain, very bad smell. I think they should renew the towels. And ac was not working. I stayed there 1 week. That was my experience. Reception ladies are very friendly

The hotel is very convenient both in terms of location and living conditions. The area is beautiful, any transport is within walking distance. The air is clean, a residential area. However...the soundproofing is so bad that the noise from the next room that started at 10pm was really...(** *** ***** or something like that, bed **** sound...** screaming..) Even with earphones on, the noise was so loud that the walls shook, so I ended up going out on a snowy...

At least it's relatively clean. It must have been a big hotel before, but then it became lonely.

The place is closed for construction for more than a year. So ice skating is closed. You can ice skating upstairs after the cable ride.

Ice Rink and the place is really nice. The view is amazing because it’s surrounded by mountains, and the air feels super fresh. The rink is huge and the atmosphere is fun, even if you’re not a pro at skating.

Absolutely stunning views! Walked up the stairs (854 steps, elevation gain 210 m). It was hard work but worth it.

Medeu is a must-visit spot in Almaty, especially during winter. Set in a beautiful mountain valley, it’s one of the highest ice rinks in the world. The scenery is stunning, with snow-covered peaks all around. Whether you’re skating or just enjoying the fresh air and mountain views, it’s a refreshing experience. Great for families, friends, or couples. Don’t miss trying the cable car up to Shymbulak...

I had been here during the early fall of 2016. I am here in January visiting friends decided ice skating was in order since it was a clear sky day with a couple thousand other Almaty residents in on having some fun

Pros: Location Cons: Only one toilet for all, booking.com mentioned breakfast included but no one prepared it until I asked the front desk guy, he told me theres no one to cook the breakfast then lastly an old women long term stayer in the same female dorm lend him a hand. Someone opened window widely and watching video/ listening to video loudly during sleeping time. * I booked a bed in Sun hostel...

Except for its location. Avoid at all costs if you don’t want to get depression. Everything is bad. I stayed at many hostels on a budget but this is by far the worst.

I booked 3 nights at Star and ended up staying there for over a month. The hostel people are nice and caring. Facilities are new. They have a kitchen where you can cook your own food, laundry service is cheap too. Great location. Feels like home.

The first time I checked in, the front desk accidentally gave me two keys. Both rooms I entered had a strong smell of food and garlic. I thought it was just someone nearby cooking and the smell hadn't dissipated yet. I was really tired, so I just lay down. The more I rested, the more I realized something was off. Later, I discovered the smell was coming from the bathroom, and it was so bad it made...

The hotel is surprisingly (for Kazakhstan) excellent. Everything is clean, the ceilings are high, and it's warm. There are many minor issues. Some minor gripes: the water takes a long time to get hot water, and the Wi-Fi password in the left wing isn't listed. It's only available at reception. The soundproofing is poor. All the shops are closed at night. We had to hunt for food 1.5 kilometers away...

When I checked in, I was told "There is no reservation." I had printed out the voucher, so I showed it and was able to check in. The walls were thin, and I could hear noise from the next room.

A decent hotel, close to the airport. The room was fresh, clean, and cozy. There are plenty of cafes nearby. We liked the Badam cafe (a 10-minute walk from the hotel); the shashlik was delicious (we recommend trying the duck shashlik), and the prices were half those in the city center. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the airport by taxi in the evening.
