Everything else was fine. It's near the Green Bazaar and also pretty close to the church. But what's with that tiny bed? It felt like I was going to fall off at any moment. I have no idea why they'd put in such a small bed; a tiny bed just makes the whole place feel cheap and unstable. On the bright side, the facilities are quite new, there are USB and Type-C ports, and they offer luggage storage.
This hotel, opened in 2025, is very new and features a master control switch and wireless charging. The breakfast selection is fairly rich, and the taste is decent. It's conveniently located within a 10-minute walk to the Grand Bazaar and churches, with supermarkets and currency exchange points nearby.
Great location, near attractive places in Almaty and easy to walk around. Room size is good and the room clean. Good service from reception and staffs.
Breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options! The room was quite clean. It's really convenient to walk to the Green Bazaar and other attractions from here. Check-in is after 2 PM, but you can store your luggage beforehand and go explore the area.
I had an excellent experience at Renion City Hotel, and honestly, it was better than I expected 🏨✨ The hotel was extremely clean, well organized, and very comfortable. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, which made my stay very enjoyable.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful 😊 They were always polite and welcoming, and their service made the whole experience even more pleasant.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely return in the future. One thing I really appreciated was that the front desk staff were able to communicate well in English, which is especially important since English is not the main language in Almaty. It made the check-in process and any questions much easier and more comfortable.
The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Everything...

The hotel room is big, in good location. The breakfast was okay. The staffs were helpful but a bit slow at response. Overall worth it.
thanks a lot for all stuff members! they are awesome!!! amazing location and facilities too:)
Large room and good area. Opposite supermarket and walking distance to Green Bazaar
Service was mediocre, cleanliness was so-so, and breakfast was nothing special. A bit overpriced.
Mostly satisfied, especially with the male owner who was incredibly friendly. However, the female staff member was just average. The restaurant service was also good. The price was a bit high for the facilities. If you want to make a reservation, it's best to do so two months in advance.
We just enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything was excellent
Almaty, 050004, Kazahstan (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location was fine,
And the good part was the room size,
the room size was fine
which was worthy considering the price
I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Almaty .
I stayed at this hotel for two days and had a comfortable experience both days. The front desk staff were all very pleasant. It's located right in the city center, which was super convenient for sightseeing, and there are tons of restaurants nearby. There's also a currency exchange close by; the one on the right is more helpful.
The toilet has no lock and you can see easily see person inside the toilet even if it is close.
The location is in the middle of the city, so it's really convenient!
You got toiletries, but just shampoo, hand and body wash, so I recommend you to bring you own
But overall it was good
The facilities were all very clean and tidy, probably because it had just been renovated! I stayed there in early September and it was comfortable even without air conditioning. The only downside was the lack of an elevator. It's a bit tucked away, so the landmark is the park inside the apartment complex. It's right in front of it, so when you're looking for the hotel, try to find the inner road!
Great location, great price!
The room is clean.
All amenities are present (toilet, shower, TV, refrigerator).
Wide bed.
One complaint: the mattress. It's time for a new one.
Value for money – 5 stars!
There is no air conditioning in the rooms. It will be very hot in the summer (according to other travelers).
The hotel is new, and the front desk staff speaks good English, though the service attitude is just average; cultural differences are understandable.
I'd like to thank Ctrip for two things: First, I contacted Ctrip in advance to help with early check-in. The Ctrip concierge responded quickly and assisted with the communication. Arriving at the front desk at 9:30, the young lady said early check-in...
Of all the hotels, we finally found the biggest one. Cleaning is poor... breakfast is okay.
It's a suite. The room is actually not big, but the living room is huge and the bathroom is also large. Overall it feels good and clean. The breakfast is also acceptable in Almaty at this price.
Except for the location being a little far away and the waiters being a bit lazy (waiters in other hotels are also lazy), everything else is good.
The sanitation is average. There are a lot of hairs on the carpet at the head of the bed. This needs to be cleaned carefully. The room is large but the shower room is small. The service needs to be improved. There is not enough water to drink. A bottle of water costs 500 jin. At this price, a hotel should charge for a bottle of water. Is this something that needs to be improved?
Check-in was quick and easy, and the reception staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was always tasty, with some items changing daily, which was a nice touch. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and cozy — not something you see in every hotel. The location is also great, with a metro station nearby that made getting around the city very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely...

The mattress was old, with yellowed patches. There wasn't a duvet cover; you had to put one on yourself. There was only one pendant light, no bedside lamp. All the amenities were very basic. Breakfast was meager: cucumbers, tomatoes, sausages, and biscuits. It was about the standard of a hotel costing a little over 100 yuan in China—not cheap.
The staff at the reception were very friendly.
The room was clean. The front desk spoke Russian and could be translated using a mobile phone. Very welcoming.
There was only one hand towel, even though it was a double room. The carpets on the floor were old and slightly dirty. The linens were okay, as were the towels and robes. The food selection was limited, but it was tasty. The hallway smelled of smoke. The photo only shows the view from the window.
I arrived around 2am, but the quilt wasn't covered, so I had to put it on myself... There was also a strong smell of formaldehyde.
It takes about 30 minutes by taxi from the city center, but other than that, there are convenience stores and restaurants near the accommodation, and the owner is very friendly.

I really didn't like it.
1. They take a deposit upon check-in, then check what you've consumed (drinks or food) upon check-out, and return the deposit if nothing was taken. (Like in the last century)
2. Breakfast is not a buffet – meaning there's a strict portion (1 slice of butter, 1 slice of bread, 1 yogurt, etc.), and you can't substitute one item for another. (Like in the last century)
3. My room...
A so-so hotel, decent location.
It's a quiet place to live, and there are a few restaurants nearby, which is quite convenient.
Hygiene: Very clean
Environment: Excellent
Service: Very warm and attentive
Facilities: All very good
The breakfast was good and hygienic, and the front desk staff were very friendly.
Drinks are expensive and most of the room have no windows and an ac that's turned off without a remote

Breakfast is good delicious and variety. The food make by order is good and delicious. The location is near the metro Baikunor station.
The hotel is very accessible to metro station, it is clean and very accommodating staffs.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights to catch a tour bus that arrived in front of the hotel at 4:30 AM. I informed the front desk the day before that I'd be up early, and they gave me a sandwich the next day, which I was very grateful for. I had breakfast on the second day, and it was delicious. Cafe lattes and other items were charged extra. The room had a heater by the window. It was hot, so I wanted...
Clean and tidy, convenient transportation, close to the subway
Excellent location with easy access to metro and buses. Reception staff very helpful
The breakfast was very good, the waiter was very friendly, it was very clean, and they even added a bed for our child

Although this hotel is located far from the city, it is still easy to get a taxi. There is an unpleasant smell in the surrounding area. The breakfast provided was simple but acceptable. Please note that this hotel does not have a lift. We had to take our big luggage up to the second floor using the stairs. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful, despite the language barrier, and did their...
The bed was too small, and the surrounding area wasn't very convenient for transportation. Breakfast was limited, though the hygiene was decent. The shower stall was tiny, but the water temperature was good and warm. Overall, the experience wasn't great.
I am very satisfied with the room and the environment. The service is also good. The hygiene is also very good.
Clean, the closest one to the airport we found
I was very satisfied with my stay. The front desk service was friendly and quick, and the laundry room was very convenient. The free airport shuttle was very thoughtful, the breakfast was rich, and it was close to Liuxing Street, making it convenient for both dining and traveling.
It's very good, but the price is too expensive. I don't dare to live here anymore because the price is too high.

The hotel is well located near a large shopping center and a popular pedestrian street. Comfortable room. Good price.
It was ok for that price, but not enjoyable! Fine for business trips, not for the vacation!
Walkable distance to one of the shopping mall.
Also to many shops around the
My outside view is up on the wall.
Did not sleep well due to noise over water pipe
Might want to go for other place if stayinf long period .
Very good amenities and vibrant facilities
I really recommend this hotel for friends, solo travelers and couples.
Located in the city center close to pedestrian street, there are bus stops and shops nearby. Very conveniently located on the ground floor, facilities are good, no smell or moisture. The negative side is that one half of the hotel is facing the busy road, I couldn't sleep until 3am, then lost consciousness, and couldn't function the next day. I will bring sound insulation material with me next time...

Good enough location, but not very convenient for pedestrians, because it's next to a busy highway.
Small and cosy. Good price for what you get. Would be excellent if breakfast was included.
For the price it is a perfectly serviceable hotel, clean tidy had a sauna and a pool and a 15-20 minute walk to town. Perfect for visiting Medeo as the bus route goes down Dostyk which is right next to the hotel. The check in staff were also friendly and helpful.
The only downside was the lack of bed side lamp and that it is quite hard to locate the first time. It's actually on a side road off elebekov...
Rooms are small and basic, I stayed a few times, once during the winter the room was freezing cold and the heating could heat it. Breakfast is good but no longer self service.
The hotel reception area is too small, and there's no elevator. The rooms are okay, quite spacious. The location is also good.
Small, cozy, clean, quiet and there is a coffee shop downstairs that serves delicious food.
A great place to stay. Clean, quiet, right in the heart of the city. Everything is available by foot
The hotels in the photo are mixed up. It's Resident Hotel Almaty, not Resident Hotel Gogol. The latter is much better, please note!
Nice cozy place.
Near to central road.
Reception staff is cooperative.
Helped to book a taxi early in the morning 4.30 am
It’s not a very big hotel but convenient to go around.
Positive - located in 10 minutes from all cafes and shops of the city centre - Modern rooms - Digital locks and control - Always ready to help administrators - Kettle and hair dryer Negative - the major downfall of this hotel is that there is no elevator and you have to use the stairs with all your luggage and belongings. Not suitable for guests with kids and for elders. - Located right on the busy...

The hotel is difficult to find as they have a wrong address on google map and agoda, and the hotel reception has cobfirmed. You won't find the hotel at Dostyk Avenue 140.
It's actually on Ulitsa Inzhenernaya 17, Almaty 050000, behind the pinned location
If you go by Yandex, you should use the adress on Ulitsa Inzhenernaya 17 or Irina Black salon.
You also won't find the hotel name at the entrance....
Location was great. A 3mins walk to Dostyk Plaza (mall) and a lot of things to do day or evening time.
This hotel offers accommodation only.
They don’t have breakfast or halfboard/fullboard,
But not to worry it is very close to the mall where you can buy everything
The room is spacious. However, it is old in many places. The toilet is very weak, and the shower in the shower room does not come out evenly and only comes out to the middle of the hole. Small room size, small bathroom
A wonderfully clean boutique hotel, the room was immaculately new (it even smelled freshly renovated). The staff was helpful, and any questions were answered promptly. I plan to stay here again in the future.
Very small even hard to turn around but very cozy and tidy.
Tiny but cozy and comfy. 20 min walk to Mall.
The hotel is newly renovated, with a comfortable environment and complete facilities. There's a restaurant in the courtyard downstairs. Overall, it's very comfortable. The only drawback is that the rooms are a bit small. It's very comfortable for tourists, but slightly less suitable for business travelers or those who need to work.
They don't say hello at the reception, in the morning you can hear sounds in the corridor of who's saying what
Very beautiful place, comfortable, quiet, calm. Service is high level! Very tasty food! Nice and professional personal. Aura very well! Welcome to this great hotel!
My heart melting with the service here. My flight was midnight but the receptionist helping me and give me a seat to waiting. They re cleaness, kindness and welcoming me. No regrets to stay here.

Very nice staff and superb hotel.
Loved the stay. Spacious & prime location.
Solid hotel and is located in the city centre. Near many different cafes, in walking distance there is round-the-clock currency exchange. The rooms are clean and cozy. Repair fresh. The hotel is owned by the Chinese and this is reflected in the kitchen. The staff is correct. In the lobby there are 2 waiting areas, which can not hold large business meetings.

In General, all is well. Freely, warmly, hospitably. All questions from customers are quickly resolved by staff. True, I had a business room.
It’s very cheap, so you could not complain too much about it like there are no hairdryer, no refrigerator, no elevator and too much noise at night and etc. Thankfully, the Wi-Fi is good. One more thing I would like to thank the reception who is a Russian Lady. I booked 3 Nights and paid all fees. I recently stayed in a beautifully elegant vintage hotel room that truly felt like stepping back in time — in the best way possible. The wood-finished interiors were stunning, with rich tones and intricate craftsmanship that gave the space a warm, timeless charm. From the paneled walls to the antique-style furnishings, every detail exuded character and sophistication.
The room was immaculately maintained...
Dear Aru
Initially, I was disappointed when I entered the hotel because the facilities were not as expected based on tourism websites and apps. However, after seeing your dedication and hard work, my experience completely changed.

Great location, service is acceptable. The hotel itself is quite run-down. As for cleanliness, they really tried their best.
The only good thing about this place is its location, and even that comes with caveats. There are internet jammer devices nearby, which means not only does their Wi-Fi work one minute out of two, but mobile internet only works outside. The rooms themselves are terrible. I could not only hear the man in the next room talking on the phone, but even the person he was talking to. Upon check-in, I had to...
Cozy, and the room had all the amenities! Great central location. I liked everything about it.
This hotel is generally quite good.
I stayed for one night during a layover. I was upgraded to a higher room category than I booked, which was spacious and even had complimentary bottled water. The facilities were good overall. However, I could hear conversations from the next room, possibly due to thin walls, and the breakfast, being a halal menu, had limited options, which was a bit disappointing.
