Great room, spacious and modern and nice bathroom. View overlooking a street and sea in distance but was ok. Hotel was good, nice buffet breakfast, comfortable sunbeds around pool and great service. Photo is view. Road was a bit noisy from balcony but couldn’t hear it with patio doors closed.
The hotel has a fantastic historic musical style with the decor, rooms and hotel were spotless . Bar staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and professional. Food was well presented and very tasty . We had 4 days of rain while there so we expected the pools to be closed as they were , not the hotels fault. The only complaint I have is I am still waiting for my €200 deposit 4 weeks after my stay...
I had the most incredible treatment at the Rock Spa. It was called Wrap Remix and was a combination of body scrub, massage and facial and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life! Lisa is an excellent therapist, in fact one of the best I have ever experienced and her vibe and energy just really made for such a relaxing and fully nourishing experience. I also just loved the music...
Great location and all in all great time in the hotel
Best hotel in Marbella! The overall quality ensures you’ll have a wonderful stay. From perfect rooms with sea view, to wonderful food across the different restaurants and buffés. Perfect location next to Puerto Banus and minute walk to the beach. Different pools and bars on the premises. The 10/10 service from the staff really is the cherry on top. We’ll be back!
The rooms are smaller for the stars of the property The services were not upto the expectation Breakfast was good

Room fine, no coffee, tea facility in room, when asked l was told l had to rent a kettle !!!!!
Spacious rooms, great beach side property, pool available. Limited light in the room, phones not in working condition, limited amenities.
Room was spacious and clean. Shower was good. Bed comfortable and some great views from the balconies
great location, big room with sea/pool view. Only disappointment was that you had to “hire” a kettle from reception for your room.
Hotel and the people were lovely friendly helpful and very tidy hotel noisy at sometimes with the Roof garden parties which we wasn’t allowed up on the roof while the parties were there which was a shame because I thought we could go up there at any time and they did go onto 1 o’clock in the morning, which I think was a bit late Especially for the people on holiday but wanted to get to bed early so...
Property is in great location, and i would stay again. However although I dont mind entertainment and music at the pool and bar area through out the day, i found this to be far too loud. Especially in the bar/dining area.

The highlight of my stay at the hotel was having night drinks at the hotel bar, where I was served by Carlos. I tremendously enjoyed our conversations and the drinks he prepared. When I asked about the origin of some of the gin, he immediately brought out a beautiful book on the subject, showed it to me, and answered my questions as I flipped through it. In my opinion, this is what a proper bartender...
Thank you Carlos! You helped us with a restaurant recommendation and were super friendly. But more importantly the cocktails were genuinely very very good! I have had many pornstar martini’s and yours was genuinely the best. My partner also had a great spicy margarita. Thanks for the hospitality!
This hotel is very nice. It has a big swimming pool which is indoors and outdoors ,and since we were travelling with kids it was a favourite for them. The buffet is worth it because of the great food and chef making food like eggs right in front of you. It is really humongous and their service is really kind even when we tried to speak our broken Spanish to them. One thing that I want them to improve...
Hotel is very clean, staffs are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are spacious.
Hotel is good with conference facilities.
Great comfy rooms with large king bed. Plus one for amenities generally. Minus point for shower button which was broken and service staff which we found to be not too hospitable when we inquired about why the rooms were 19 degrees C and were freezing. Little far from centre but there’s a nearby bus stop for convenience.

Lovely hotel very close to Al Hambra Reception staff are very friendly and helpful Beautiful terrace Nice and quiet area Lovely for treks up the Al Hambra hill Can reach the central area by walking down or the buses which charge nominally or get a taxi
We had a very pleasant stay at Porcel Alixares Hotel in Granada. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Alhambra, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing. The hotel is set in a quiet area with beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
Just locates nearby the La Alhambra but it takes some time to reach by riding the city bus. The room was spacious unexpectedly as it seemed small from the photo. Yet some of the small ants were found near the sink. Bleaches were used instantly from the housekeeper to solve the problems which reflect good service from the hotel staff. A good choice for guests who aim for going to the La Alhambra
The hotel is located directly opposite the Alhambra, beautifully decorated and well-equipped. The room was spacious and even had a terrace. I absolutely loved it! It was clean, and the service was excellent. Very satisfied.
Staying at Hotel Alixares and visiting the Alhambra was absolutely perfect! The main entrance to the attraction is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself doesn't have many parking spaces, but the car park across from the Alhambra is super convenient at 22.9 Euros per day. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, though the facilities show some age. The hotel's decor has the unique charm...
We have just spent 3 days at the Hotel , which is located next to Alhambra and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and quick to respond to requests or queries. The food was very good with lots of choice and replenished quickly. Bedding and towels were changed frequently. Would stay again.

The people working in the hotel are 10/10. So friendly and helpful with attending guests at late hours. I just wished there is an indoor pool that is open for use and a free parking and coffee makers in the bedroom.
If you are a football fan just live at this hotel! As it locates nearby the home stadium of the Spanish football club Real Betis and fortunately I met some of the players as they lived at there before their home night game!! Hotel staff were very nice who were patient to answer your questions and suggest some tourist spots to you. Gym is quite small but overall was a good living experience
Good property, plus free parking just outside the hotel
They allowed us to do an early check in. Quite a small room that was not too bright. No kettle so we had to go down to ask for one. They asked us to go to the Hotel's restaurant to get one. We don't know how to switch on the air conditioning and we lived beside the streets so we couldn't open windows to sleep. Our room's temperature was so high all of us woke up in the middle of the night perspiring...
Everything was clean, well-located, and the facilities were great. I'd definitely stay again.
* Hotel outside of the main city area, but good connections with a bus (every 10min) * Hotel rooms were Big and comfy * Shower design is a bit suboptimal, as there is no door to close and it is nearly impossible to avoid that water spills out in the floor... even by being extremely careful. * Breakfast is good * Staff is friendly & helpful

A great resort to stay at but not a lot of entertainment with regards bars / restaurants and had to get an Uber into town … but would use again
Great clean room and change of towels each day. Partial sea view room has exactly that but seems to be new furniture on it. Comfy bed. Kettle & fridge provided but charge €3 per day for safe! Wish other people would stop letting their doors bang early in the morning. Great breakfast with everything you would need. Good location with lots of restaurants nearby. Would say pool area needs more cleaning...
Good position central for all amenities. Didn't have to fight for a sunbed!
Too many people. Crowded & we were initially given a room with a terrible view right next to the A/C ventilators & over a parking lot. I paid for a superior room so I was so disappointed. Luckily I asked for another room on the second day & the kind Manager moved us to a much better room. But still at about 4am there were drunk men yelling in the hallways.
Lovely stay in Occidental. Expensive for what it is but it is a nice hotel with all the amenities you need, lovely staff and clean.
Great quality hotel close to beach. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Very welcoming staff.

I was worried by all the negative reviews so was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is perfectly situated, I had a sea view and could hear the waves from my balcony on the 11th floor. The staff were all hard working and they made everything work well. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the harbour which is peaceful in the daytime. Ten minute walk to the buses which run regularly to Almeria, well worth a visit...
Left 2 weeks ago, Steer clear from this hotel if your English, none of the staff with be polite to you, especially the lifeguard round the pool, Spanish guests can do what they want, English guests just get glared at. Be prepared for the Spanish guests to push in front of you at meal times as they also have no respect, food choices are diabolical and never hot. Never again will I stay at this hotel...
Another great stay at the Portomagno. It has been taken over (yet again) by a different brand but almost the same quality. A few minor savings have been made, jams and honey at breakfast now via a pump, no choice of different lakes of bread, just sliced or French bread, I do miss the lovely brown fresh loaves , but still brilliant for the money. The cafe/ bar on the reception floor closed at 9 ...
The facilities were average, the room was hot, the dining room was dirty, etc. The food was not very varied, the pasta was bland and the tomato sauce was watery and tasteless. They gave you leftover food from the day before. There were also quite a few mosquitoes, my whole body was covered in mosquito bites. I do not recommend the hotel.
Everything was great, we were delighted. A family-friendly hotel with everything taken care of.

Excellent week spent here for 2 adults and one 12 year old. Would recommend the hotel. Food was good and varied. We stayed in a beach suite for over €200 a night, so we expected a bit more comfort. Unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard and gave us back pain after just one night. It’s also a shame that we weren’t allowed to take breakfast to the beach suite, and that there’s no room service included. That would...
It is undoubtedly a good hotel, although at first sight it seems like it doesn’t deserve its four stars. The rooms are old-fashioned and the bathrooms are old. Not enough socket outlets, a 1970's design thing that needs upgrading to cover our proliferating electronic devices. Same with lack of USB 3 OR C, sockets. Totally amazing hotel! Staff were great (especially Pepe) and the rooms were clean and spacious. There were also very fun programs throughout the day. I highly recommend coming here if you like having a great time!
The biggest plus to this hotel is the staff. The staff were friendly and helpful. Marta with the kids club is AMAZING. The minidisco she hosted the night we stayed was SO fantastic. This hotel was recently refurbished and in the main good. The food was ok. It lacked variety in the evening with only a few changes to the food on offer - as many items were very similar each day. Probably the best hotel stay ever , the only downside was the breakfast which was chaotic and lacking in choice and quality.
Facilities, position and price was fantastic would highly recommend. Only fairly big negative is the attitude of the staff in the sky bar, we were there 3 nights and every night zero friendliness, wouldn’t smile, borderline rude and couldn’t look like they hated their job more. Great Location, typically spanish The hotel catered very much for the Spanish, by that I mean the times of the restaurants - breakfast 8 - 11am, lunch 1.30 - 3.30pm and dinner 8 - 11. So if you are an early riser or have children ! We have lived in Spain so didn't bother us too much. Pools also didn't open until 11am which was disappointing as it was so hot. We booked the hotel primarily because of our 8-year-old daughter. The decisive factors were the all-inclusive option, the pool area, the indoor playground, the proximity to the beach, the German-speaking staff, and the children's entertainment. All expectations were met; the indoor playground and the gym were both recently renovated. The staff was friendly, and everything was child-friendly. ...
Very nice hotel with a nice pool and next to a beautiful and long beach. There is a bar restaurant at the beach with very good food. The service was great. My partner and I recently spent six days here and it was WONDERFUL. The staff are so lovely, friendly and welcoming (special shout out to Jose, Felipe, Servan & Rafael). Food and drinks were exquisite - Jose made some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life - delivered with outstanding service. We had a beautiful and expansive sea view from our south-facing two floored apartment, the bathrooms...
Very enjoyable holiday. We had a comfortable sea view room with balcony and jacuzzi. Carolina serviced our room daily to keep it immaculate. Smooth and interesting transfer from Jerez airport. Ideal location for beach and attractive unspoiled town both within easy walking distance of hotel. A morning stroll to the town with flowers and trees plus many services. A shoreline walk or a quick body boarding...

September after kids are back in school. Rooms are spacious, newly refurbished with all amenities that are required. Pool is a good temperature ( probably 28°), lots of choice of food, of a good quality. The pizza restaurant is great. Pasta, bruchetta, pizza etc and the wine is excellent. Special mention to Joao Ferriasao. Great personal service. Much appreciated.
We had an overall rather average stay at Vila Galé Isla Canela and would likely not choose to return. Nevertheless if you don’t have too much expectations, the hotel is basically fine. Cleaning staff work diligently in the common areas, which are kept somehow clean all around, but unfortunately the same basic level of care was not extended to the rooms. The floors were particularly unpleasant, with...
Been going for 5+ years way before it was vila Gale. José and his team are just GREAT!!!!! José Bingo is a lovely and fun family event, José is a great communicator and entertainer. This year we had our kids doing the aladino show and it was just great. Not dropping Vila Galé But José and team do all the entertainment which keeps us going year after year with family and friends!! Dont go anywhere Jos...
Nice Hotel, most of the staff are great, the majority of customers late August 2025 are Portuguese on holiday. They are all nice/ pleasant, not loud, thugish or entitled crowd. Drinking is minimal no drunks just casual lunch style drinking culture. Food is Spanish/ Portuguese not a large variety of dishes but of a good quality, fresh and plentyful. We were on Halft board, the wine offered at dinner...
Great place for a quick getaway. No transport easily available to the site. Close to a clean beach. Great pools! Away from habitat it is quite peaceful. The service was friendly. There are a couple of restaurants from the hotel about a mile away. Half board customers get great breakfast & buffet dinner.
We went to this hotel because Vila Gale were promoting it with a special offer as it was their first hotel in Spain The hotel had some great facilities. The in-house Italian restaurant was very good, but I am judging it from the perspective of a mature couple. It was not our kind of hotel. It was far too big and too noisy. Some would say the location was good because it was close to a magnificent beach...

I told the waitresses that there was not a lot of vegetarian or vegan foods available and the labelling was poor. The head waitress spoke to the chef and he has been preparing me vegan meals and has even given me soy yoghurt for dessert. Thank you so much to the chef for catering to all dietary needs and for preparing very yummy vegan foods. Excellent service!!!!!
Just returned home after spending 4 nights at this hotel, have stayed in 3 other hotels in Torrimolinos other years and have to rate this one my favourite. Staff friendly, very clean the room was spotless, was half board food tasty great choice usually eat out when away at least one night but decided not to as food had been so good. It was my birthday whilst there and the hotel left treats for me to...
Stayed at this hotel for a week in February We requested a higher room as we had paid for a sea view. We were initially given a disabled room which to be fair is good for those who have disabilities but it’s not what we requested. The shower had cords and the toilet had cords to pull for assistance! Felt it wasn’t safe! Not happy with this room at all. The poor girl on reception sorted a different...
Arrived at the hotel late evening after booking a side sea and pool view room. We had requested higher floor, only to be given room 117 which was a disabled room , smelt of sewage and had limited views other than a green roof and work that was going on at hotel that no one had mentioned. The work was around the pool area and opposite building. We were told there were no rooms left but miraculously...
first time to this hotel and wow stayed in a junior suite with views to die for, room cleaned daily and fittings to a good standard, hotel staff are friendly and helpful, location is good and a walk to the cariheula or the marina are about 5 mins, a taxi into Torremolinos is about 6 euros, there was a good selection of food for the half board basis .i would recommend this hotel and the transfer time by...
Just back from a 4 night break at the Hotel Pez Espada and what a lovely relaxing stay! The hotel is spotlessly clean, all public areas were immaculate. The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient, the food is varied and of very good quality, the drinks are fairly priced too. Our room on the 5th floor had a lovely side sea view, yes there was work being carried out in the pool and garden area,...
