Hotels near sea shore in Catalonia

The area was abit quiet in regards to activities but I believe this is due to the time of year, when walking into Santa Susanna we discovered more going on, lots of local shops / gift shops / restaurants local to the hotel though

Return yesterday from my weeks stay at the monteplaya the hotel is cleaned throughout to the highest standard possible! it would be impossible to name a staff member who gave the exceptional customer service that my self as a quest expect for my hard earned money! The reason being every single staff member across the board from room cleaners to maintenance greet you with a smile and a polite word...

Hotel was modern and clean throughout. Our room was lovely and nice sized balcony. Lots of variety of food in the evenings and breakfast was good

Hotel staff were very nice, particularly Elena who was always very welcoming and lovely when entering the hotel restaurant. Spa facilities were also nice

Train station with direct routes into Barcelona only a 10 minute walk away and only €12 for adult return, we visited twice

Enjoyed sitting on the top terrace as it got sun all day (need to be early to reserve as not many sunbeds) staff very attentive and good bar service

I was robbed of my necklace by a masked person the moment I stepped out of the hotel entrance. However, this has nothing to do with the hotel itself; the hotel service was very good

We didn’t get a chance to check out the restaurant but the pool is pretty small but theres a nice view from the rooftop

I stayed for two nights and the hot water wasn't working. The breakfast wasn't particularly lavish, but the hotel's location is excellent

The rooftop pool area, has amazing views, and the hostess at the bar, was very friendly and even recommended a fabulous dinner spot, just two blocks from the hotel

Location is good, metro is located just outside the hotel. However, the room soundproof is not so good, eg people talking at the corridor, door closed n TV noise. Also, smoking smell is strong especially at night

The rooms were very spacious the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice modern and clean. The hotel staff was accommodating by holding our luggage before we checked in so could tour the city

The location was excellent, a short walk from the beach and benifited from good shade and sunshine areas in the lower pool, with the rooftop pool was for the sun worshipers

First mention to young Marco at reception, very polite & attentive, Mika & Albert both ran the restaurant very efficiently, especially when busy with large tables on week 2, Jose the bartender was always smiling and good at his job, the table service was also good especially during the evening entertainment, which changed each week, the daily activities ran by Christian & Andrea were such great fun...

We didn't want to leave our gorgeous room but we were upgraded to the top floor with an even bigger room and free passes to the spa. Food was diverse and very tasty, especially for a small hotel

Here for 21 nights half board with Tui, from the moment we checked-in until we checked out we have loved everything, reception, dining, daily activities and the evening entertainment, our room was cleaned daily and the linen & towels were also changed daily, the hotel is spotless everywhere

From the moment we stepped through the doors we were welcomed, and throughout our stay felt accommodated. The range of drinks (all inclusive) was excellent and of good quality

The chef's work so hard, we really appreciated them. Overall a great stay, thank you to all the wonderful staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Golden Costa

Lovely beach just over the road but lots of steps or walk back up hill. Had pool facing rooms with views to mountains, Portaventura & Ferrari Land in the distance

A couple of members of bar staff a bit moody but overall really helpful, friendly staff including the kids club hosts. A lot of the entertainment was geared towards other foreign guests but did bingo & disco

We have just had 10 days at this hotel, when I read some of the reviews I was a bit sceptical as some of the reviews were not good!! I cannot believe what some people want !!! Yes it’s a 4 star which I would only give it a 3 star, but theses stars are given for facilities not standards

Lovely hotel, room was a good size & clean. Complementary shampoo conditioner, shower gel. Was sometimes sewagy smell in the bathrooms. Food was lovely, lots of choice & always something that you liked

The area was clean & we will definitely go back to this hotel, but not during peak holiday season as not enough lifts for rooms & i can imagine the pool area & restaurant would be extremely packed

!! Cleaners come every day except Sundays , they did not replenish our toilet roils. I would come back again but select a different room

Room was light and airy, bed and shower first class, pool good but unheated and staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again when we return to Tossa

Good hotel with perfect location The hotel has a great location — two beaches are just a short walk away. One is smaller and perfect for families with young kids, and the other is bigger

Fabulous place to stay in Tossa just outside the main area but 5 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes to the centre of town, 15 minutes to the castle

The beach is a short distance, but there is a larger beach which is a little further but its a beautiful walk. Pretty large room considering its Europe

Doors were slamming all night long and the guests were very noisy. Personally, a big minus for the water in the pool, which is freezing cold

The only fresh vegetable available was tomato, and the cheese was not always fresh — although the staff replaced it immediately when we mentioned it. Overall, we had a good experience

We were there off season so I would like to think that that was the reason why you had no access to massages or the SPA. Note that the SPA area (just a jacuzzi and sauna) are paid and you have to book

The “puerto” is stunning and the hotel is very well located behind the main road but with easy access to the beach

We went every evening and took a cup of coffee on to the open air roof garden, plus we had a great view from our room of the sea with the boats bobbing in the harbour The hotel staff were very dour and uncommunicative No greetings or conversation whatsoever, it went also for the breakfast room staff

Unfortunately the restaurant staff gave us a bad experience the last day. Came down to the restaurant 10 min early and was scolded for getting a coffee

Then waitress stated I could not come for breakfast with my wife having eaten earlier a light breakfast myself. Very unnecessary treatment! 😒

PDJ TRES BIEN...HOTEL TRES PROPRE....TRES SATISFAIT

We have had picnic lunch made up for us when going out for day trips. The hotel is over-looking the sea and is a 10min walk to the train station, with great links into Barcelona. I would highly recommended staying here

The location is good as it’s close to the beach and shops , staff in the hotel are lovely but the hotel itself is rundown. From the outside it’s gorgeous but the rooms need updated

A perfect place for tourist to be. Things are cheap in the area compared to other places. Good hotel service and staff Lively Free access to the beach. My wife and I had a wonderful time at HTOP PLANAMA

We booked for 1 night 2 adults and a baby and were giving 2 single beds pushed together with a 3rd single bed against the wall - we struggled to get in the room with our suitcase and pram

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Staff was very nice and friendly and food was good too. Can't complain about it at all

The beach is only a 5 minute stroll from the hotel. Finally, the staff make the difference here. Friendly, welcoming, efficient and appreciative of their guests. They put an extra star on for me

The hotel is comfortable, there is a fantastic pool aswell as other great leisure activities such as table tennis, a tennis court, boules pitch, poolside bar and indoor games room

Nice cosy place for a relaxing holiday. I got a single use room, The room is small, but enough for one person. A very clean , cleaning lady comes every day to change towels, making my bed and cleaning the floor

Breakfast is nothing special, but is enough for early meals. Eggs boiled, bacon rashes, cheese, lot of pastry products, coffee and tea

The rest of the family at the hotel from 15 to 25. First, "the spoon of tar": I agree with the previous reviews in that in terms of the interior, condition of corridors etc. there are hotels of 4 stars and better

Just returned from our first family package holiday and WE LOVED IT. Staff absolutely fantastic, food and accommodation ideal. Big thanks to restaurant staff who were brilliant and to excellent chefs

I really love the location of the hotel, the view is breathtaking. The food is absolutely exquisite, down to every single little detail. Moreover, the staff are extremely friendly and polite

Good simple quality food without the frills. Close to the waterfront,actually the center but on the edge and quiet here. Close to the beach ,where there are so many people as the city

On Fridays dinner from the chef - a glass of champagne at the entrance, a seafood, a chocolate fountain?. To the promenade and beach is literally 7-10 minutes without rushing

There was no desk/table other than where the tv was positioned - if you need to work on a laptop, it's not ideal. Internet,once connected, was good. The bathroom was fine and there was a fridge and hot air heating

A big plus was that the room was very quiet. I was a bit disappointed with the terrace as, although it was quite spacious, it offered no view apart from the back of the nearby buildings opposite

Check-in was quite straightforward with English speaking staff who provided business like service but no explanation of the facilities either in the hotel or in the locality was offered

The room was clean and quite comfortable and just about big enough for a lone traveller - two people with luggage might feel a bit cramped

If you get a room on the front of the building, I think the views are better. Breakfast was included and the choice was quite good although the hot food provided was not hot at all

I had a pleasant stay at the Hotel del Mar in July. Despite the weather being quite warm, the air conditioning was working perfectly. The rooms were large and clean. The service was very cooperative and prompt

Pool - big pool with loads of sun beds, never had to fight for a space (we did go end of September so not sure if different in peak summer) our little one loved the little splash park

All inclusive - never waited more than 2 minutes for a drink, good selection of soft drinks and alcohol. Includes ice creams too which is great for the kids

Rooms - cleaned daily, modern, lovely bathroom, pushed our 2 double beds together so had a massive bed for the stay which was lovely! Cot for baby too

Food: worst part of the holiday was definitely the food, by day 3 we couldn’t stand the smell of it and had to eat out for the rest of the holiday

Cons!! Check in: 2 buses arrived at the same time so check in was at least 45 minutes long, no one extra on desk to help busy period

If your room isn’t ready, it’s 6€ per suitcase for a locker (people just leave them outside in the hallway to save paying)

Good hotel, next to the beach. East to park the car in front of the station. Rooms were ok for the price and breakfast could be better. But in general nice hotel to stay and super nice staff.

Canada place Hotel is in a great location for an easy walk to the town or the seafront

These teenagers were allowed to yell and scream inside the hotel and in the pool area outside our window until they finally went to their rooms after midnight

Some of the decor in the building is a tad old fashioned but everything is kept very clean. I saw House keepers mopping floors daily and they absolutely keep on top of everything

And the food is nice, and the chef even kindly recommended me what to take because I don’t know too much about the food in Catalan. Over all super nice experience, the location is close to the beach

Balconies on the rooms that have them are kept clean and all of them are equipped with small table and chairs. Air con in the rooms we stayed in worked efficiently and the beds were comfortable

my friend really liked the spanish omelet. the location is nice, it’s near a beach, shopping mall, convenience store — so right in the middle of a city centre, but it’s surprising quiet

The refrigerator and air conditioner in the room were broken, the pool is tiny for a hotel with so many rooms, however the staff's service was good

However, when i stayed there was some sort of festival happening, you could hear the fireworks and the main celebrations weren’t too far away, but you weren’t right in the middle so it wasn’t disruptive

Good Hotel. Rooms are clean, good swimming pool on roof top, restaurant is ok but maybe little more choice for the menu.

Great place. The center of the city. Neatly in the rooms. To the beach, however have to walk about 2.5 km, as charging.

the hotel looked nice, and the layout was easy to figure out. Restaurant was on the first floor, and it was a buffet

Visited slightly out of season so our room wasn't fully equipped for self catering, so can't leave any review for that. Lovely clean rooms, maid service was everyday. Pool is great with a lifeguard on duty

We came here as a football group, no Wi-Fi until the morning of checkout! The air con wasn't working and just blowing hot air whichever settings we put on! Bathroom had flush issue, they simply refused to help till next day morning nor changed our room so we ended up doing it ourselves as had no other choice! The location of this place is quite further down from the "live areas", it is quite close...

I will give this place a 5 star rating because I have been there a few times and we really love the location, pool and animation team and some of the waiters and waitresses are great too and make your feel at home

However, the pool doesn't open until 11am, it is very noisy with the kids club activities. The kitchen isn't well stocked, not even a bottle opener. Air conditioning was excellent

Family oriented apart-hotel. Apartments are correct & facilities are nice. We've got half board with breakfast n dinner included, the food is ok, but could be improved. Overall good experience.

30 after that people did struggle maybe cld fit another 10 sun beds there,but pool area and pool bar was lovely like I said before we have stayed in 6 hotels now in santasusanna and this has been our favourite we will definitely be returning thanks staff at sirius

Amazing! The staff were so friendly and accommodating! The food options were amazing! Pool is located in a nice place! Lovely view from hotel balcony we will be coming back x

For me though the evening entertainment needs looking at. The pool decent size but again only thing with that was it was freezing heating it up wouldn't hurt

Swimming pool area is also very nice, but it’s always very crowded with people and it’s hard to get a sun bed, people put towels on them and leave even though it’s not permitted

Food was good just felt there could be a bit more variety again always seemed to be fish or pork but was still amazing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back

There was a wide range of food and drinks available on the Club Select package, in my opinion there was as something for every taste

Perfect stay ... Our room blew us away. We had two balconies and saw an amazing sunrise each morning. The swimming pool was also very nice.

The reception desk is as usual, a disaster. with uncoordinated people with a calculator instead of head. Their unique worry is to invoice even if everything has been previously paid

The hotel is right on the beach and close to the Main Street of town with shops and dining. The pool area was very nice with lounge chairs and umbrellas. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling at a nearby excursion provider

We also loved the walking on the trail along the coast that has amazing views and coves to swim in. I wish the hotel provided lounge chairs for the beach as an amenity (they are rentable for $9/day)

The balconies and views from our room were incredible. We could see both the mountains and the sea. The family room provided two separate spaces for us and our children which was great

Location is great, right on the beach but at the quiet part so you can sleep at night even with an open window. The view is amazing. The staff is friendly

Also the hotel was close to the office and in walking distance (if you like to walk) from major things and beach. What I loved most was the service on the restaurant / bar

But why was the breakfast the same every day? It was always the same four kinds of vegetables, just carrots and radishes every day. Even a rabbit would crave a change! Should I stay here again next time?

The main reason I chose this hotel was the reviews. It was clean, close to the metro, and centrally located. When I arrived at the hotel, I realized that the reviews were accurate

The food and wine were awesome and the staff super engaged and cute. I usually do not eat alone but here I could have stayed hours. Which I did :-) delicious wine and food

The L4 Bogatell metro station was right behind the hotel and extremely close, which made all of our trips very convenient. The staff were friendly and hardworking

I was here on a business trip and the room I got was spacious, clean and quiet. I usually sleep bad in hotels due to the thin walls but here it was a dream

The balcony was simple and there was a reasonable view. It was close to the beach , which was walking distance. If you want a holiday that's cheap as chips, then this is the hotel for you

The bar and hotel staff were friendly and fantastic, and spoke good English. The food was awful, as they didn't have a lot of vegetarian food, it contained fish and eggs. The breakfast was really good

Fantastic hotel with lovely staff and excellent food service. The only minor gripe that I had was the towels were washed out grey and the bedding was not the best. The room was also a little tired but clean.

We loved our stay at AQUA hotel! Bar was very convenient and decent prices, pool is small but enough for our needs

Fantastic resort, has a little acuatic park, and pools, the apartments are really nice and with beautiful views of the beach, and the bar is good

Btw Gym is also very well equipped

The facilities are more than you could ask for, big outdoor pool, a water slide that is bigger and better than it looks on the pictures, a kids pool that my toddler loved! alongside good tennis courts, volleyball area, 5 aside football pitches and crazy golf

All these things would be expected on a holiday, but it is the staff at Pola Giverola that really make the place shine. Kind friendly and helpful regardless of what is needed 👍

We stepped out of the humid spanish heat, into a perfectly chilled modern apartment, set open plan over 2 levels with a balcony that boasted a sea view

I was tempted to score this place down, just so as not to draw the crowds in, but then I realised nobody knows me, or is in the slightest bit interested in my opinion! For anyone reading, give this place a go, you will be amazed
