Average hotel with bumped up prices for the summer season, which is to be expected. Positives - air conditioning in the rooms (but strangely not in the reception or bar area), there's a pool and the staff are pleasant

Our hostess, Francesca was the best hostess we’ve ever come across in our many years of travel in Italy. She above and beyond our expectations. Room was nice and balcony was nice, with a descent view

The view and pool were just amazing! We loved having our own terrace equipped with a hammock, chairs and a little salon table. This gave us some extra privacy when we wanted to have a glass of wine at our room.

Overall a great stay for the price. Saying it’s a 4 star hotel is a bit of a stretch. There was a tiny hole in the ceiling and water damage on some of the floor but the balcony with a view was great

30pm but the hotel also allowed us to use the beach and facilities for the day after we had checked out at 10am. This took away a huge stress for us, and gave us an extra day of enjoyable holiday

Due to plane times, we arrived 3 hours before check in but could store our luggage, change into swimming gear, and use the hotel beach and facilities before we had officially checked in at 2pm

The beach is fantastic and the breakfast is great. Everything gets charged to your room onsite so lunch, dinner, drinks, snacks which is really nice

The hotel charges you for water and squeezes out everything they can get. We also requested towels while we were in the jacuzzi and they never arrived. We would recommend that you stay on the island of Ortigia instead

The massages were amazing, and the private beaches, pool and jacuzzi meant we felt no need to leave the resort

They organized a boat into town for us and it was a beautiful boat ride at night both ways. Very nice to see the Ortigia / Syracuse city lights at night. This place is impeccable and they keep the grounds in great shape

Although the onsite restaurant was delicious, the staff were also kind enough to recommend other local restaurants and arrange transport to allow for some variation

The stand out of the trip however, was the amazing staff who went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We hope to return again some day!

We could not recommend Minareto more! The room was just as advertised with gorgeous views across the water to Ortigia

Great location, beautiful beaches, kind staff, breakfast needs more options. Guest should not be charged for pool towels.

Wonderful owner/staff, beautiful views, and sea across the street, great dining, casual, and great pool, etc. Walking along beach is wonderful.

Pool is open 9am to 7pm with one hour closure between 1:30-2:30pm Again gentle music playing in the background making very settled and relaxing atmosphere. Bar and lifeguard are in place too

Housekeeping girls were great / welcoming and helpful working tirelessly. Great large pool , lovely and warm with lots of loungers and parasols

An absolute beautiful small hotel to stay in. Very organised and atmosphere is very charming and relaxing. You can have breakfast by the pool and view the sea with a cool breeze and gentle music playing in the background

Ossidiana has a great location We picked Ossidiana for it's convenient location right next to port, in part because someone in our group was a bit scared of sleeping on a volcano island😄, and also because it has very beautiful rooms and a view

Bring some food and drink and relax! They also have very local food assortment at the breakfast buffet, nice desserts. We liked that we didn't need to rely on transportation or walk far to get to the ferry

Lucia and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Perfect location for the ferry - a 2-minute walk to the hotel. We liked the breakfast and the view of the Volcano from the terrace

Beautiful hotel, big room and beautiful view over the port of Stromboli. The breakfast was amazing! Very convenient to visit the main center of the village and close to the port.

Perfect stay in an island worth a few days of stay Great hotel 150 m from the port. We had a triple bedroom on the first floor with a seaview

I had all inclusive, so I visited the bars quite often. The bar service was more or less good, but they used very small cups (1 dcl)

Everything - honestly everything - was perfect! Accommodation - so clean and nice to stay in a room, luxurious view, loads of green palms and bushes in a resort and kitchen? I bet you put some killos on like we did :)

The only improvement could be the quality of the VOI Concierge activities, we joined the Lipari/Vulcano one and it was expensive and unsatisfactory, I would suggest to future guests to check external activities not ones organised by the resort

we had really fantastic holiday the hotel are very very clean, kudos to all the staff they are doing there job well, and hello to the spider man and sometime he was elf, my children are happy about him

Absolutely the best hotel in Siracusa! We were upgraded to a sea view loft suite for free! Very large room, harbor view outside the window, clean bedding, luxurious breakfast, and warm service

It was formerly a post office and was converted into a sub-brand of Marriott. The room was upgraded to a loft suite. Although it is very spacious, it is a bit useless to go up the stairs to get to the bed

I flaxed because it was my anniversary with my beloved husband… Despite all these great experiences, I think I will look for a slightly cheaper place to stay if I visit Siracusa again next time

Great both inside and outside Excellent 4 star resort hotel. The location is beautiful, with a private part of the beach with a small bar, and a nice pool area and restaurant on the hill above next to the hotel

The condition of the facilities was spotless, the staff friendly and the price competitive. The only thing that was not quite up to expectations was the breakfast

Two things to recommend: wifi did not work which is not expected in this kind of hotel & there is a fee for towels which is strange for being a resort. Other than that we had a great time, thanks!

Lovely Hotel Right on the Beach! We stayed at Modica Beach Resort for a couple of nights in May. Very clean, quiet, and modern. Comfortable big beds, nice linens/towels. The photos resemble everything exactly

Staff throughout the hotel were all friendly and helpful! The pool was beautiful and the buffet breakfast was amazing. Beds very comfortable!

The road between the sleeping and restaurant/pool facility didn't seem like a problem

A very nice touch is the complimentary coffee, tea and pastries available at reception during the day. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. We would definitely stay here again

The hotel has a parking and a swimming pool. It is advisable to call in advance in case a parking place is required. They also offer water, coffee and tee for free in the reception

I was positively surprised with the size of the bedroom. It was quite big, the bed was also big, and in comparison to other hotels I have been, the toilette was quite wide

The street is well illuminated, specially appreciated in the evening, and since there is always people walking there, I would say that you feel secure walking there

When we arrived, there was a perpendicular street closed, and Google was not recognizing properly how to arrive to the entry of the parking. So we were helped by phone with the direction

I understand that during this time, it is not a high season, but I must say that I saw several turists in the city and the weather was quite good (sunny, but not so hot)

If you need a hotel with stunning views and great access to the cable car, this is the place. The staff's response is immediate. For any request, their answer is YES, and then they clarify what is needed

They react promptly to minor complaints. Everything is of very high quality and pleasant. Because of this, even tipping the staff was not an issue. Water was replenished every day

I had a wonderful stay at the Mazzarò Sea Palace. The hotel is right on the beach, and the view was amazing. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch

The only downside I would suggest is that they should consider organizing additional wine tastings on-site

This is the second time in two months that I have stayed in this B&B for work purposes, Lavinia and Damiano are wonderful people always available for anything you need, unfortunately you can't give more than 5 stars, I would have gladly given them 10!

But that is part of the beauty of the place. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The negative points are the poor WiFi and cappuccino. Wandering down the alleys behind the square is an experience not to be missed

One of the most romantic and interesting places we stayed. The antique atmosphere is amazing. Breakfast is great and eating it in the small square which is the so called lobby of the hotel is really nice

The care of the structure inside a historic center expresses the love for the territory, unfortunately not followed in the surrounding area, perhaps more interest is needed from the local administration

Very beautiful B&B in the heart of Licata. Very charming house, clean room and bathroom, nice balcony and really delicious breakfast with house made Casata-cake (was soo delicious)

We are a family of four and the Quadruple room was perfect for us. Giusy was great, responsive and accommodating

While we were unloading luggage from our car, she found and pointed out a parking spot for us, right next to the hotel, which saved us hassles of driving to a paid parking lot. The breakfast was delicious and wonderful

The shower was newly renovated and very comfortable and spacious. Location is great, just 7 minutes walk to main Piazza in Messina. Very close to the train station as well

Okay for the budget this is a well located hotel particularly if you are coming from the train or the ferry - from train station it is just over 1 block and so no need for a taxi or bus to get to the hotel The staff are helpful (italian helpful) and again the location is really good - the lobby large and rooms a good size Again it’s like stepping back in time - most of Sicily feels that way which...

Great check in and check out service. Nice room and great shower. VERY nice breakfast with a huge selection of foods and drinks. Good price. A short walk to train station and many places to eat. One block from an ATM.

Location is a little away from attractions, but still within 30 mins walking distance. There arent much good restaurants nearby the street

This is a fabulous hotel! The setting is very quiet, and the amenities are excellent. Our room was on the 4th floor, a suite! There is so much room to spread out with a very large bathroom

Breakfast was satisfying, and the team was welcoming and fluent in English. The restaurant served dinner despite the quiet season, with only a handful of guests dining that evening

The walls are dirty in some places, some of the gaps between the tiles are discolored, the cracks are starting to appear in the shower floor. The room was crowded to the point that it was hard to move the desk chair out

My husband and I very much enjoyed our week stay at HOSPITALY HOUSE. It's a small hotel and in an excellent location, 10 minute walk to the historic town centre and the train station should you wish to visit nearby towns

The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the train station in mostly quiet residential area. The breakfast is not included but well worth the price. Be sure to order the evening before

Place was super secure and lovely to be in and very pretty.

And that is the only chair there was in the room. The room keys are physical keys that you carry around with a little block that says what your room number is

The temperature control worked flawlessly (though removing the key card turns off the A/C so it is warm when you return)

The location from the B&B ist very central, just a couple of steps away from the main street. There is a market every Saturday in the street of the hotel - don't miss it! Thank you very much for a great stay!

Nice, quiet appartments at a very good location. The district is very interesting, near the city market, with plenty of choices regarding food and drinks. Everything is at walking distance

Rooms are more beautiful than in the pictures and very clean! that is really important to us, and every morning a lovely breakfast. We hope to come back to this lovely place where we had a great time 🫶🏼

An antique building that is accompanied by the explanation of the owners and the delights indications that make like to the maximum the experience. Bonus: the large and sunny terrace

On the other hand, it is located in the center of Catania so you have everything at your fingertips, including a nice terrace to enjoy an after dinner drink in peace

Enjoyable Stay Overall We had read the mixed reviews about the hotel and after staying there are more positives than negatives - good location , lovely pool area and sea terrace, helpful staff, comfortable bed , excellent housekeeping however the hotel does need some updating and parts need cleaning such as the lift windows and balcony furniture , more choices for eggs at breakfast would be nice

The pool was nice and refreshing after a long hot day and the beer at the pool bar was cold😁. Customer service was great, thanks for getting us in on short notice

The pool is beautiful and the restaurant is good, but the rooms are outdated, dusty, and the air conditioning does not work well. Bathrooms are massively dated with bad lighting

I wanted to break up the tiresome ride from Trapani to Noto with a stop; my travel agent booked us in the Andrea Doria. sea views, clean rooms, Sicily class breakfast, quaint and clean little town, all reasonably priced

And then, the next day, sea views, clean and sweet town, clean rooms, a great breakfast with homemade cake and lots of other terrific breakfast items, saying "goodbye" to our modest hero who says he was "only doing his job

From the minute we booked, Ivan the general manager, reached out to make sure our stay was excellent. The suite was comfortable, clean and spacious and the breakfast was tasty and packed with homemade Sicilian treats

We unwittingly brought unexpected problems with us, and Ivan, the manager, and Michael, the assistant manager, worked tirelessly to give us great solution options and comforting assurances

The work they did was what you'd be lucky to get from a supportive family, not the staff of a hotel in which you're spending one night

The bathroom has a great shower, and for having a king bed, there are two sinks, which is very nice. The views are wonderful from every room because each floor is built into the hillside

Absolutely stunning! This hotel is built into the hillside, so every room offers ocean views. You can really connect with nature and greenery right from your balcony

The room is great, there is a terrace, an outdoor swimming pool, and the service is also very warm

The breakfast room is bathed in sunlight and even offers distant views of the snow-capped Mount Etna. The breakfast was excellent, and the location is great too (with several good restaurants nearby for dinner)

Surprisingly good. However, the swimming pool on the first floor is closed in winter. Also, be aware that the side gate to the park next door is under renovation and requires a detour.
