Practical Advice & Improvements: If you are arriving at night, be aware that the grounds are very dark and the terrain is uneven; I highly recommend keeping a torch (flashlight) handy as it can be quite disconcerting

I had wanted to relive and reminisce being at the castle and my experience was just as it was 22 years later at age 35!! I adored the staff and their attention and care to me as a solo traveling female

The Highlights: Staying at Castello Gargonza was a unique experience. Both the dining room for dinner and the breakfast room were beautiful and full of character

The complimentary breakfast is excellent and served in a beautiful breakfast room. The swimming pool is set in a beautiful setting with views of the surrounding area

For example we had to ask where breakfast was located and there was no fire or candles lit on the second night in the dining room. Strange, as apart from our group there seemed to be only one other couple staying

The owner, who is a multi-generational owner is wonderful and pretty much always on site and can always be seen working alongside staff, whether at the exceptional on-site restaurant or in the on site bar or at reception

The hotel has a splendid swimming pool and a partner beach just steps away. A generous breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00. The reception staff are very friendly and professional

Very nice hotel, staff available to solve any problem quickly and really kind, ready to advise you on the best things in the place. Very nice and clean pool, rooms always clean

They're very cute, although the bathrooms are a bit small, but everything is very clean, with towels and a clean room every morning. The staff at both reception and the restaurant were very friendly

The breakfast is plentiful and the staff are always ready to replace anything missing. Besides the truly enchanting location, one of the highlights is the pool. Impeccable service and everything is extremely clean

The pool is huge and very clean, with sun loungers and umbrellas available, so you can stay as long as you like. Great location, close to many beautiful beaches

The staff can not do enough for you, I have never experienced customer service like it, anything you want to do while staying with them they will organise restaurant, taxi, activities etc. You dont have to lift a finger

Breakfast was served in a bistro style space. Lunch and dinner was served on the beautiful outdoor patio which overlooks the elegant and colorful gardening of the property. The chef’s menu and preparation was amazing

Amenities: Wow! The wellness center is located privately so relaxation can be fully enjoyed. We scheduled massages and it was just what we needed. We also participated in a competitive archery event

Margarita, one of the owners, not only found a physician but also gave a personal escort to their office. Mallory is our pet away from home. She was loving, perfectly mannered, and friendly

Due to Demidoffs strong interest in art and culture, this building was home to Tolstoj and Chaikovski during their time in Florence, and the interior was made with special attention to details, such as carved marble fireplaces, marble handrails or amazing original paintings on walls and ceiling of the breakfast room

Started off in a room with a tiny shower, smaller than a cruise shower. Spoke to the staff and upgrade to a different room which was amazing. The staff was very helpful and always happy to great you

The only drawback is the geographical location. All the attractions are on the east side of the train station, and the hotel is on the west side of the train station

The breakfast was a little expensive. I ordered the French toast that came with ham and cheese. What came out was a grilled cheese sandwich, lol??

The mattress springs were broken, and I felt like I was falling off the bed when turning in my sleep. Air-conditioning worked well, and the toilet had a bidet and shower

The plain milk was fine, but the chocolate milk was BEYOND HORRBLE. It tasted like milk mixed with unsweetened cocoa powder, with no sweetness and a spoilt taste

Breathtaking views over the infinity pool. Inna very rustic area, away from the hustle of the city. Quiet and close to a lot of wineries for say trip tours.

Karen was very helpful because I didn’t have a car so she took me to the bus stop numerous times as there are no shops or restaurants near by. Very relaxing calm place to visit

Beautiful location alone on a hill. Good size apartment with kitchen and a small “private” garden space outside the door. Big pool with great scenic views! Barbecue area with a roofed area. Sweet staff! We’ll return!

Relaxed, silent, in the middle of the Tuscan hills, next to grape farmlands. Great views of st Gimignano from the distance. Easy to drive to near historical spots

Definitely would recommend it!! (By the way: make sure to not miss visiting Colle Val deElsa, it’s a not miss and 10 minutes drive from Podere Il Pino)

The Albergo Chiusarelli is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean! The bathrooms have been updated and are very nice

Love, love, loved this Hotel! Fantastic location - close to the centre but still fairly quiet and every night we were there a musical performer played in the piazza outside our window (but we had good sound proofing if we just closed the window)

This was a wonderful stay. It's right in the center of town, yet feels very calm inside. The staff was so helpful and sweet, the room was very clean, and the bed was really comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

It is no more than 10 minutes' walk from the central train station. The front desk said that Leonardo da Vinci once lived in this building for a year, and the church square is right outside the window

The hotel is in a great location. The room I stayed in had a view of the dome of San Lorenzo Church, with a great view. The booking rating is 9.2. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Duomo!

Everything is clean and you can enjoy different types of pools (even a sauna). To eat, there is either a cafeteria or bistrots offering ice creams, cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks

The place is very spacious and there are lots of sunbeds both in shade and in sunny areas to tan. We recommend coming as early as possible since it gets crowded in the afternoon

Great thermal station offering diverse services and great facilities. There is a parking available which is really accommodating. You can rent a towel and robe

One of the best place in Italy where to enjoy curative water. You will feel refreshed after spending a day here. If you have skin problems or other health issue is super powerful. Really helpful with my skin issues.

I am a seasoned worldwide traveller & arrived with some trepidation after reading various 1* rating reviews! All I can say is that many people obviously want to pay for a 3* Hotel & receive a 5* plus service & accommodation! All the Hotel Staff we encountered were Polite Warm Welcoming & Very Helpful! The room was Spotlessly clean & the room was cleaned & bed changed everyday

The food portions at Dinner were generous & very tasty. The pool area was clean & inviting. Anything we required we asked for & were supplied with with smiles! Fab Value 3* Hotel that I have no hesitation in recomending

The balcony was a good addition and overlooked the mountains and swimming pool to the rear. The breakfast was good quality, and had the option of being eaten on the patio

The hotel was well located in Montecatini, near to restaurants, bars and childrens mini fair. It was spacious and had a good swimming pool and jacuzzi

Stayed in this hotel Oct '25 for one week. Hotel was spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable & warm rooms. Housekeeping in every day, fresh towels & sheets, rooms cleaned every single day

There is a policy in this hotel that your drinks etc are charged to your room and paid for just before leaving, it's worth noting you can request your balance every day if you want to keep track of spending, a few people in the group had some items billed that were not their's but in fairness they were dealt with efficiently and without any hassle

Do not expect to be able to book a taxi or even get one back from town to hotel, for some reason taxi's are almost non existent. Overall I would recommend a stay in this hotel, just be prepared to eat out

Such a pity as this is the only thing let's this hotel down! Within a ten to fifteen walk of the town and close by The Funicular

The food on the hotel was very hit & miss, hence the 4* rating on this review. Some nights it was good others dreadful

The pool area is of course a central point and its great to meet and share with other families, and grassy areas for the kids to kick a ball or throw a frisbee and the horse stables, equestrian area and paddocks will keep the kids intrigued - just bring a few carrots

This place was my favourite the weather was great and the workers were very nice the location was great with a supermarket nearby and lots of restaurants as well with great locations all around

The dogs that were there were very friendly if I had to go I would go again everything was great also Danilo was the one person that really helped us out with finding places and going to places that were lovely I would have already wanted to come back but with Danilo there it makes really want to come back if your looking for a great place to stay it would be here 100 percent

The apartments are very well secured with solid wooden doors and locked interior window shutters. The property is enclosed by bushes and a security gate as well, I felt very safe staying here

There is a PAM Supermarket 5 minutes down the road which was very convenient since the apartments have small kitchens, it was nice to have a small home away from home to easily cook small meals - instead of a small, cramped hotel room and having to eat out constantly

The distance to Florence is a bit of a drive (2 hours), but on the other hand it was relatively close to both Montepulciano, and Montalcino. If we decide to go back to Tuscany, we'll definitely stay here again

There are steam bath, sauna, bubble bath, Turkish bath and tea and snacks, so more than 1 hour is easily spent there. Half of the days we spend going on excursions, and the location worked really well for us

We changed it for what sounded like an eggplant parmesean or something similar from the “main course” section of the menu only for it to come as a cold plate of raw ingredients, essentially a salad

The other plates were just ok. The server was nice, so we didn’t want to send that back as well but overall it was horrible in every way. Too bad because it didn’t match the accommodations at all

Pictures may not always do the place justice, the rooms and entire grounds are very luxurious, it really feels like living in a private villa! The best part of our stay was the staff - everyone is so friendly and attentive, and Laura gave us great recommendations on how to explore the surrounding area

We loved our stay at this is unique, beautiful property. It is so quiet up in the hills and amidst the forest, and felt like a distinct experience from other places we stayed further south in Tuscany

This property was lovely with fantastic views, wonderful staff and dining. Rooms were clean, spacious and quaint. Only difficulty during rainy season was unpaved road quite rough to navigate

They have great options and we ate the majority of our meals there. The breakfast was especially nice. The staff was warm and helpful and alwasy treated us as a priority

For a three stars hotel you get what you can expect. Location is great. Rooms are quite comfortable but beds could be larger. We had good experience dealing with staff. The view from the top floor is astounding.

There was a little problem when there were many people having breakfast 2 stuff people in the breakfast area could not have cook, clean, make coffee on time. I think here was no enough stuff in the kitchen

For us it was really important that the hotel is close to the beach. Our room was small but really clean and cozy. There was the best breakfast we have had in italian hotels
