Marina Gallery Resort is lovely and a really relaxing, peaceful stay. The decor around the hotel is lovely and the rooms are incredibly spacious!

The pool area is great and has an amazing view over Patong and the coast, it’s truly an amazing experience spending time here!

We had breakfast included as part of our stay and we’re really glad we did. This made our stay a lot less stressful! They had a good selection of cuisines, pastries, fruits and drinks. You could also make food fresh to order.

The staff were lovely, attentive and friendly! Oumaim and Aum were very helpful at the reception.

My only con would be that it can be quite loud at night with noises from the other rooms and aircon, we struggled to sleep on the first night but got used to it quickly!

Would definitely recommend staying here

I've been to Thailand 5 times and Phuket 3 times, but I've never encountered a hotel as unbelievably bad as this one, anywhere in the world. I strongly advise everyone to avoid staying here.

Hygiene: Pictures 1, 2, and 3 show the sheets before they were changed. Pictures 4, 5, 6, and 7 show them after. Even changing the sheets was a major hassle. I initially called the front desk myself, around 9 PM. The front desk interrupted me before I could even finish speaking, saying no one was available to change the sheets and if I insisted, I'd have to wait until after 3 PM the next day. Then I asked Trip.com to communicate on my behalf. It took Trip.com two hours to get in touch with their duty manager. After that, the manager and an employee came to change the sheets and duvet cover. While changing the duvet cover, the two staff members were laughing. I have no idea what was so funny; does this hotel not even provide basic training? We booked three rooms in total, and I only found out the next day that my parents' sheets were just as dirty and hadn't been changed at all on the second day. This hotel truly **sucks**. A big shout-out to Trip.com's customer service, who kept trying to help me resolve the issue and communicate. The hygiene situation even left the customer service agent speechless.

Safety: Around 2 AM, someone kept trying to use a key card to enter my room, which woke me up. When I looked through the peephole, I didn't see anyone. Of course, it's possible someone made a mistake. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there were safety issues at this hotel. The entire hotel is open-plan; you don't need any key access or even to go through the lobby to enter the accommodation building, and you can access all floors without a room card.

Service: As mentioned above, I suspect the staff at this hotel have absolutely no training. For the hotel deposit, you *must* pay in cash, and it's not possible to pay in Thai Baht; it has to be RMB or USD. When checking out, they insist on inspecting every room, making you wait 10 minutes per room. Seriously, it's 2026, and I feel like I've traveled back to 2006. What's up with that?

Price: I booked a room two months in advance for around 1500. On the day of check-in, I casually looked it up and saw it was only 900 a night for the same day. I'm utterly speechless.

I've never encountered a hotel that manages to hit every single one of my pet peeves in all areas. This hotel is truly outrageous (^-^)👍

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, with great natural light and full amenities. We were exhausted from our travels, both physically and mentally, so upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff. They quickly got us settled into our room to rest. I especially want to thank Ging, Oumaim, and Vier for their professional and considerate service. They made us feel right at home, even though we were in a foreign country.

Our stay at the Marina Gallery Hotel was average. There were a few incidents during our stay that left us dissatisfied. At first glance, the hotel looks beautiful, but when you enter the room, you simply feel the wear and tear of the colonial style. The paint on the walls is peeling, especially in the bathroom. The walls were also dirty. My partner got splinters in her foot at the pool because the floorboards were sticking out and weren't properly secured. Of course, the staff apologized and bandaged the wound, then gave us a plate of fruit. However, that same day, we noticed a lizard in the room. Feeling uncomfortable, we reported it to the front desk. The staff did nothing. They came to try to catch it, but after an unsuccessful attempt, it simply left the room. Another thing is that we were going on a trip and wanted to order a breakfast box, but after reporting it to the front desk, I was told it was too late—I was seven minutes late, which was strange, considering there had been previous incidents. The hotel is located on a very high hill, with a beach below, but no one swims there. You have to walk to Patong. I don't recommend eating or drinking from the hotel bar in your room, as wine there costs 90 baht, while 100 meters away at Seven Eleven costs 7 baht. There's nothing going on at the hotel; there's no entertainment, music, or anything. It's more for people looking for peace and quiet. For a five-star hotel, I'd give it a 3/4. The quality of the finishes is poor, and the service is friendly, but sometimes insensitive—as in the case of the takeaway breakfast.

Absolutely terrible, just awful!

For a hotel that costs over 2000 per night, I had to listen to the sound of the equipment room all night. My room was right next to it, and there was a vibrating noise every 2-3 minutes. After 7 AM, it became a continuous vibration, like sleeping on a tractor. There were also strange noises inside the room periodically, and then constant crow cawing from 5 AM onwards.

I booked this place expecting a five-star hotel, but when I arrived, I found it to be very small. The hotel's promotional photos are completely misleading. There were only 5-6 lounge chairs by the pool, and nowhere to even put clean towels. Because there were farmlands behind the pool, I kept getting whiffs of manure, making it feel more like a family-run guesthouse. The drainage in the shower was also terrible; the bathroom was completely flooded after showering because the water wouldn't drain. The 'Nanyang style' felt eerie and creepy, making the whole night noisy and unsettling.

In short, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in all my years of traveling, and to top it off, it cost over 2000 per night!

had an amazing stay at Marina Gallery Resort in Phuket, where we spent 8 wonderful days with our family. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and perfectly suited for a relaxing family vacation. The atmosphere is calm, the rooms are comfortable, and the facilities are well maintained.
What truly made our stay special was the outstanding service from the staff, especially Oumaim. She was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help. Whenever we had a problem or needed assistance, she handled everything quickly and with a smile. Her support made a huge difference for us, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay.
Thanks to Oumaim and the entire team, our family felt welcome and comfortable at all times. We truly enjoyed our time at Marina Gallery Resort and will happily recommend it to anyone visiting Phuket. We would love to come back again!

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location of the hotel is not as convenient as I expected, however there are 4 shuttle bus services daily to Patong beach and the nearby shopping malls. The dishes in the restaurant are delicious and fairly priced. The hotel itself is so beautiful and it was a joy to just sit in the hallway, balcony or by the pool everyday to relax and chill out with families.

Good location and good place

The hotel's decor is unique and beautiful, very compact and exquisite. They upgraded us for free to a pool suite on the first floor. It's nestled halfway up the mountain, so it's very quiet. We'll definitely book here again next time.
