Reviews
Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a huge disappointment this time.
This was my 7th visit in the last 4–5 years, and sadly, IndoChine has lost its charm completely. The villas are very old, poorly maintained, and depressing. There were water leaks in the toilets, broken fixtures, and an overall feeling of neglect. The entire atmosphere felt dull and uncomfortable rather than relaxing.
What was once a beautiful and vibrant property now feels like a tired, worn-out building.
One of the biggest letdowns was the breakfast and kitchen, which used to be a highlight of this hotel. Earlier, there was variety and excitement. This time, after staying 6 days, the breakfast menu was exactly the same every single day. It became so repetitive that even my family started dreading breakfast. It honestly felt ridiculous — you could walk to the counters with your eyes closed because nothing ever changed.
Despite the restaurant staff being polite and helpful, the food experience was awful due to lack of variety and effort.
To make matters worse, the pricing is a complete rip-off for what the hotel currently offers. Charging such a massive amount of money for outdated, poorly maintained villas and a depressing atmosphere is simply not worth it. The experience does not justify the price at all, and staying here feels like paying premium rates for a very disappointing product.
Overall, this stay was stressful and depressing, which is the opposite of why I chose this hotel. I came here for a relaxing vacation and ended up feeling frustrated, disappointed, and mentally drained, to the point that I decided to leave early.
This is without a doubt one of my most regretful hotel stays, especially considering how much I loved IndoChine in the past. Unless major renovations and serious management attention happen, I sadly cannot recommend staying here anymore forever
At checkout, however, we were informed that a small bed throw was missing from our room and were asked to pay 2,000 baht. We were surprised by this, as we did not recall seeing this item in the room during our stay.
The discussion took nearly 30 minutes while we were on our way to the airport, which was stressful as we were concerned about missing our flight. After explaining our position, the charge was eventually waived and we were allowed to leave.
The situation felt uncomfortable and stressful, especially being in a foreign country and under time pressure. It unfortunately left us with a disappointing final impression after what had otherwise been a good stay.
For this reason, while the property itself is nice, our checkout experience significantly impacted how we feel about the overall stay.
The condition of the villas are not good though, they are dilapidated inside and for what they charge for staying here it is very disappointing. The kitchen area in our villa was shabby and old, the dishwasher did not work and the bathrooms are questionable.
Plus points are, The view is spectacular from the 3/4 bed villas and the transport provided by the team is fab. The restaurant is great with a fabulous view too.
The villas really are in need of renovation inside though. You can't charge people what we paid to stay here and then deliver a shabby villa interior.
I will once again say how amazing the staff are and the view is beautiful.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Every interaction with the reception team, restaurant staff, and room service was exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly.
The food at Indochine Resorts & Villas is simply amazing — every meal we had was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and presented with care. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all a delight, and the restaurant staff were attentive and friendly throughout
Adding to the experience, the hotel offers a gold buggy service that can drive you to your room, collect you from your room, or take you to the reception or restaurant whenever you wish — making every journey around the resort effortless and luxurious.
The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the main beach every few hours, with convenient pick-up to return to the resort, which made exploring effortless and relaxing.
We have already booked to return and cannot wait to see the amazing team again. Indochine perfectly combines luxury with personal, heartfelt hospitality — highly recommended!
We stayed in the Sky Suite, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. The private plunge pool on the balcony was massive and available to use at any time — a true slice of paradise. The suite itself was luxurious, spacious, and immaculately maintained.
A special highlight was how the hotel beautifully decorated our room for our engagement — a complimentary gesture that made the moment even more magical. It truly felt like a dream come true.
Another standout feature was the golf buggy service — whether arriving at reception, heading to the restaurant, or returning to the room, staff were always ready to pick us up instantly. It made getting around the resort effortless and added to the VIP experience.
The entire property was spotless, the attention to detail was impeccable, and the atmosphere was serene yet luxurious.
Highly, highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a romantic escape, a special celebration, or simply a 5-star retreat. We can’t wait to return!
We had a family get together, 6 days in 4BR pool villa. 9 of us, the age group was 7 to 69. We had pretty varied requirements. The location is good, service was absolutely awesome, rooms and amenities were useful.
Location - near Patong beach. Full sunrise and partial sunset view from the rooms.
Rooms - fit for purpose with functioning kitchen, good air con, small but adequate pool which was enjoyed by all of us.
Service - impeccable. Due to the hilly area, rooms on top require a steep climb. It was made easy by on call, always smiling staff. Cleaning service was pretty good. There are sufficient number of staff to take care of your requirements. We ordered quite a few things via grab, all of which were promptly delivered to us from the reception. We got a feel that, generally, they wanted guests to have a good time.
Value - for the type, size of villa and service, we felt that the place offered pretty good value.
We will gladly stay here again.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and free from any unpleasant odors. The bed was soft yet supportive, providing a great night's sleep. The additional services were excellent, including a shuttle service and ample parking space. The gym and swimming pool were well-maintained and ready for use.
The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options. The porridge was especially tasty! Overall, I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
The view is breathtaking!!!
Breakfast is really good and there are changes to look forward to the next day for some items.
The shuttle service is flexible. When we asked if we could keep the option of returning back to hotel either at 2.10pm or 4.10pm, they said no problem.
I love also the fact that we had free flow bottled water. Important to stay hydrated in humid Phuket.
However, we were very unimpressed today at check out early morning. We called '0' to ask that our luggage be sent to reception. One female answered call and said no problem. We waited a whole 10+ minutes and still no one came by so we brought the luggage ourselves, only to see the female was no longer at reception area and no one at the reception area was informed.
