Our first check-in was quite stressful. We arrived around 3:00 pm but couldn’t get into the hotel because there was no reception and we never received check-in instructions. Luckily, someone who was inside helped us open the door and called the hotel for assistance.
The room itself was nice and clean. However, for travelers without a car, be aware that the hotel is a long walk from most major sightseeing...
Morgenmaden var to go. Køkkenet var ikke fuldt udstyret men fint. Dejligt med cookies og kaffe gratis.
Great location and within walking distance of a lot of stuff!
Only complaint is the room was slightly dirty upon arrival. The housekeeping left behind used cleaning towels, a glove IN the toilet bowl, and the shower had stuff from the previous people left behind.
We did get breakfast down the street through the hotel each morning which was great!
Breakfast was good, maybe the best part of this property. Shower was old and gross. Guest room and breakfast room are very dark. Probably by keeping it dark, they can hide some dirtiness of the property? There’s a reason why it’s super affordable compared to other places around the area.
This is about a 12min walk to the edge of downtown. It is still within a lively area of hotels and restaurants. They have tried to update the interior which is fine, but it is a bit damp and has carpets in the main hallways. Heads-up they do not have a front desk or admin staff on site but they are very responsive through WhatsApp if you have any issues. I had to message them a couple times and they...
Great place if you need a room for the night. This is a 2 star hotel. It is very basic and an afforyolace to stay. The breakfast is awesome though! If you don't have high standards this a good place to stay.

Enjoyed my stay here, it was a good value functional hotel, spotless and warm, and our room was serviced daily. Parking outside made it a good base to explore the golden circle, Vík, etc. with a rental car. The managers are very helpful and friendly. There's coffee in the morning but no breakfast, but the manager recommended a nice bakery nearby with a discount for residents.
Very cute and clean! A lot of parking! The bed was super comfortable which was perfect after arriving late since our flight landed after midnight. Late check-in was possible, although we had a bit of trouble at first getting the code as they did not send it until we called. In the end they were very friendly and helpful. The location is great too, really close to a supermarket and a cute bakery. I...
We stayed at Hotel Heidmork for 3 nights and didn't faced any issues. The hotel is managed by a couple and is located few kms away from Reykjavik downtown but location is perfect when you are travelling Golden Circle and south coast. Would really recommend this amazing place.
Room is small but spotless. Nice bathroom. Very quiet. I would stay there again.
For us ot was really convenient. We stayed 2nights. Free parking. Nice hosts. Clean rooms. Quiet hotel, strong water power. There is always free coffee available. You get a 20 % discount of the closest bakery's Lindabakery. They have great sandwiches.
Nothing to do in the area. Good for a one night stop-over. No amenities. No cofee until about 9:00. Nice staff. Ony three TV channels. (they will say there are more than 3 but they duplicate)

Very warm wellcome and great travel advice when starting out our trip from Reykjavik.
Really comfortable beds, the bathroom floor was heated and we had a small balcony! The people were super friendly and their breakfast had all the basics needed. For a short stay it's great!
I stayed in this hotel for just one night. arrived in before the check in time but the staff still welcomed me. She checked my room to see it’s been cleaned so I could have my room earlier. She also suggested me the tourist spots around the hotel. And told me if I want I can ask for a sandwich to go tmr just to ask the clerk because I have to leave really early for my flight. Too bad I didn’t get...
Great experience. We had a problem with the code door when we arrived and someone was quick to respond and help! It turns out we didn’t check our email the day of and they upgraded our room for free. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast (included) was delicious and filling. Great location if you rent a car and plenty of free parking. Would highly recommend!
We were with friends for two nights, wonderful hotel, delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful hostess of the hotel. the rooms are very clean and smell nice. There is a cozy veranda and the opportunity to drink tea/coffee/cocoa with cookies at any time in the hotel restaurant. I definitely recommend the hotel, on my next trip to Iceland I will also stay here.
Hotel Lotus was our first hotel after arriving in Iceland. Although small, it was cozy and made us feel right at home. Free parking was available right outside, and the room itself was spacious enough to accommodate a large suitcase. The room was clean and tidy, with a separate wet and dry bathroom. Surrounded by residential areas, it was very quiet. The hotel also provided breakfast, and while the...

We were very happy with this accomodation! The day we left, we had to leave at 3 a.m. and were therefore to early to get breakfast. Knowing this, the very nice and helpful lady of the hotel made us some sandwiches, which were waiting for us on the counter. Recommended!
This hotel literally saved me a few others from a long day of exhaustion. They welcomed us in and we're so very nice and comforting. After a mess at the international airport which involved a power outage, freak storm, and hours upon hours of lines, culminating in false hotel vouchers from the airline (because the original hotels never received the voucher bookings because there was no power), we made...
Great place to stay for a night or two. Very close to the city center and also to the wharf. The beds were comfortable and every room has its own private bathroom which is nice. My only complaint is that they put us to the dining room/Breakfast room and it was VERY noisy in the morning when we were trying to sleep. Beyond that it was very nice and the staff were very accommodating.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Phoenix Hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the beds were really comfortable. We had a small kettle to make tea and coffee which was good. Every night the beds were turned down and a chocolate placed in the pillows which was a really nice touch.

The hotel is located very centrally in Reykjavik allowing you to reach every location on foot.
The rooms are very clean and the service is excellent. The owners are always happy to share their insights on where to go or to give you directions to where you need to get. The breakfast is plenty to take you a long way through the day. Definitely recommend staying there
Absolute gem of a hotel.
The bed was like sleeping in a cloud, so soft and comfy.
Lovely and warm without the need to put the radiators on. Although we did use them to dry our clothes after a really rainy day.
Everything you need is provided, especially if you do hand luggage only like we did. Hairdryer, toiletries, water, tea and coffee!
We did bring our own towels for the secret lagoon and local...
Fabulous hotel in the centre of Reykjavik. Beautiful rooms snd very clean. The breakfast is fantastic. The hotel is on the main street in Reykjavik but in a quiet area. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us nice tips and information about Iceland.
A wonderful little hotel on the main street in Reykjavik centre. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. The two gentlemen running it are very welcoming and gave us good tips on what to see in Reykjavik and around the city. Breakfast was fantastic.
Very nice small boutique hotel in the centre if Reykjavik. Very clean and beautiful decor. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was phenomenal. It’s on the main street but in a very quiet area. The bed is one if the best I had in a hotel room.

The accommodation was adequate, room was warm, beds comfortable. Kitchenette had kettle, microwave and fridge but no cutlery or crockery, we had to ask for it. The shower was very small, it was hard to move once you were in and difficult to control water temperature. Cheap accomodation.
Great location right near Hallgrimskirkja Church, easy walking distance to everything. Great for a short stay. I stayed the night before my ringroad tour and the night after and had a room on 3rd floor both times. Comfy bed and room was clean. Small kitchenette with microwave, kettle and fridge. Good single rooms for solo travellers at a decent price for Reykjavik. Bathroom small but useable. Decor...
Ideal for a quick stop before traveling on. Ideal location right next to Hallgrimskirkja church. Easy walk or bus to down town, where loads of restraints. Only 1 pillow which was very flat and toilet could do with a bit more of a clean. But generally very nice room.
Given an 'Average' rating, but this was perfectly acceptable for what we paid for the room. Very convenient for the town center (an easy walk down to road puts you on the high street), well placed for bus/taxi pick-up and put-down. Good value for money.
Not really a hotel. No TV or Kettle. Kitchenette with sink and microwave? Breakfast not available until after 09:00 in the Vietnam restaurant which also acts as the reception! Good location though. Bed & bathroom clean, but with a couple of cockroaches
Close to the cathedral and the bus station, the environment is quiet, the rooms are clean, there are many places to eat around, there are plenty of people, and the house prices are cost-effective. It is recommended

Needs some improvement with kitchen supplies. Not too much of glasses for drinks. Just beer or another beverage glass

Good basic accomadation
Good value for money but this is not a luxury hotel. Buses to city center nearby but it is out of town. Plenty of parking. A bit slow at providing us with room access details.
It was a different experience with no person to contact regarding questions. Questionable neighborhood, but in the end it was OK.
Curious stay, because check-in simply happened by phone for us to communicate that we’d arrived, to get the code to enter, and to know what our room number was. The place is clean and it’s a big three-floor house in the outskirts of Reykjavik, which is an interesting area to stay in, too. It’s right next to a big park and a school, very quiet and cute, and there are two huge and very soft cats in the...
This is a "self-help" facility. There is no staff. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. But shared bathroom and kitchen could use some TLC.

I stayed here for a week in a mixed dorm room, and overall, it was a pretty comfy experience. The dorms were clean and, surprisingly, very quiet. I chatted with a few people, but mostly kept to myself. The best part? The dorm was never full during my stay, and for a few nights, I even had it all to myself - which was a nice little bonus!
The biggest downside is the location. It's quite out of the...
Good to stay on a budget. The breakfast is fine and the stafff are helpful and bedrooms fine got to socialise with people over the world however the shower I was having problems getting the right temperature
For what it is, it's fine i guess. The room and the shower was clean, the rest not so much. The tables sticky, the floor old and thus not very appealing. Take care of your food! Ours was stolen from the fridge by other tourists. Not really a fault of the motel but still very uncool.
If you are a light sleeper, the you shouldn't stay here! The road is very noisy. Not a problem for me but something to...
Nothing worse than a dorm room. I got to the hostel very very early in the morning (around 5am) and the staff in the kitchen let me sit in the restaurant and wait until i could check in at 2pm. I decided to go for a walk around 9am and the young lady behind the counter put my bag with her and watched it while i did that. they ended up being able to check me in around 10am. Was quite dirty when I arrived...
The hostel was pretty nice, the staff was helpful but not friendly at all. The kitchen was good, bathrooms clean. The only bad thing is that the beds are so extremely noisy, every time someone change slepping position 'even carefully', all the people inside the room note it.
Breakfast is normal, but, it is better to buy something in bonus and cook it.
Stayed in a 16 person shared room. Room was clean and so was the bedding. Cleaning staff came in around 9:30am to start cleaning the common kitchen/bathroom areas. There were utensils and cooking supplies for solo travellers to use which was nice! Comfortable common spaces. The bedroom did smell slightly bad, I would argue that it was most probably because of the other guests hanging wet clothing/towels...

Good and easy communication, clean rooms, free coffee and tea in kitchen area, and parking on street
Pros: Only a 15-minute walk from Reykjavik, and free parking is available outside the accommodation.
Cons: Located on the basement floor, the accommodation had a strong damp smell. The toilet had no heating, making showering extremely cold.
Perfect place if you need to get the bus to Keflavik airport early in the morning. 15-20min walk to city center, depending on pace and where you're going.
Super easy self check-in and check-out.

A great location to stay if you need to take an early bus to the airport. It is located across the street from the BSI station. About 20 minutes walk into the main town.

We had a pleasant stay, clean rooms and had to share a bathroom but never had to wait to use and didn’t see anyone else. If you are a student/on a budget this is good value for your money. Location is also great— near bus stops for tours and in walking distance of many shops and restaurants.
I loved this cozy hotel. Access in and out was easy around the clock. Key drop off before reception opens was also easy. Brilliant location in Reykjavik. Walkable to most places. The room was very comfortable with a large and warm bed. Make sure you get to breakfast early, as they were running out of food at 9am. I would definitely stay here again. It was very welcoming and comfortable.
Stayed for 3 nights with a friend. Hotel location really good, just in the centre of the city. Room nice and warm with private bathroom ( I know you can book also rooms with sharing bathroom). The hotel is right next to one of the pickup points for all tours and buses, downtown shops and areas are perfect walking distance. Very well priced for a stay that was neat and tidy. Excellent kitchen facilities. Just a shame people don't clean up after themselves and left the kitchen dirty - no fault of the owner though.
The stay was fantastic. Our flight was delayd and we got to the guest house late in the evening, at about 11P.M, they left the key for us and the instructions where to find everything we need. Felt like at home. Super comfy beds, slept better than at home. Very good good decision if your on a budget.

I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Reykjavik. It is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The transportation service to airport was added benefit. I highly recommend this hotel
This hotel had the nicest staff I encountered during my trip. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Their warm attitude made me feel comfortable and cared for. I really loved staying here and would happily come back again.
We were really pleased with our stay here both times we've visited. Julia, Victoria and the staff there were unfailingly polite and helpful. The building we stayed in was well appointed and super convenient to everything we wanted to do. The only challenge here is parking, but it's possible if you pay attention. Plan ahead if you have folks in your party who have accessibility concerns.

This apartment-style hotel provided us with a cozy stay for our week in Reykjavik. The setup is quite unique too, as the hotel is divided among several different buildings (we were in “Printing Press”) and the reception area also stands independently in its own building.

Location, amenities, tidy, spacious, very good apartment, definitely will stay again on my next visit to iceland
Amazingly convenient and well-stocked apartment. Nice and warm and close to everything. Only thing - TV is old. But then again, most hotels' TVs are. Also a bit of street noise - but there's not too much traffic so not terrible. Close to airport bus stop (about 5 mins walk) so we loved it.
I previously stayed in their two-bedroom unit, and overall it was a great experience. Both the living room and bedrooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The location is also excellent.
There were just two minor issues:
1. Since the unit was on the ground floor, you could occasionally hear people walking by outside. Not a big deal, but something to note.
2. One morning, the power outlet in...
Very nice roomy and comfortable apartment near everything in the downtown area. We had the 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor, the space was roomy, had a comfortable bed and dishes for 3 to 4. The shower doors were a bit hinky, but work well once you figure them out. Water pressure was strong and very hot. 1 minute walk to kronan, 5 minutes to bus stop 3, 5 minutes to rainbow street, shopping and restaurants...
Great location however if you have gear to carry, it’s a bit of a walk from the closest bus stop and there is NO elevator. We were on the 4th floor and had a lot of gear. Access to laundry was a nice convenience. Self-check in was simple. Only minor inconvenience was the mini fridge didn't have a freezer section.
I chose this property for the washer dryer. It was a disaster. The circuit kept tripping. Had to make a call. There’s only one set for the whole floor and the dryer never did dry the clothes. I had to hang my clothes all over the apartment. The shower and sink drains were clogged and the night light switch was broken next to bed. Also only one sleeping pillow per person.
Good location for driving into the city, free parking, and clean. We appreciated having a small kitchen to prepare our own food, with dishes and cutlery provided. We had the most wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast right in the heart of Reykjavik! The owner´s warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. Breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared, so thoughtful! We stayed in the upper floor, absolutely loved it!
What a perfect stay and a perfect host.
Arrived having received clear instructions for parking ( paid garage across the road ) and check in .
We had the side annex , with its own door entrance.
Very well equipped with kettle , microwave , fridge , Tv ( didn't use ) and WiFi.
Large comfortable double bed , single duvets which seen common in Europe ( not so in the UK ).
Spacious bathroom with washing...
Staff was good, room was too bright the door needs some type of curtain
This place really is a treasure. Perfect location in the center of Reykjavík. Beautiful historic architecture and extremely clean. Breakfast in the morning was great… with lots of local treats. We enjoyed talking with our host and meeting some of the other guests around the table. We would highly recommend this quaint and charming guest house!
Very sweet and perfectly located. The host is very charming , the community breakfast table was a fun way to meet other travelers. Our bedroom was rather small which made it a little uncomfortable but it was cozy.

Perfect place to spend a night or two as good location and comes with kitchen and laundry facilities. However check in can be a nightmare if your booking platform does not update you with check in instructions
The location was fantastic. Check in was easy. Staff seemed to come in regularly and take out the trash and tiddy up the bathrooms. The couch for the third person to sleep on was awful. There was a lot of mold in the shower and the drain didn’t work well. You had to continually shut the water off during your shower so it didn’t flood the bathroom. Staff was notified and they were able to have maintenance...
The room trash was not emptied and there was no indication where you could take it yourself. The humidity was quite high. The traffic noise was reasonably loud.
Great central location and value. You will share a bathroom so make sure you are ok with that. Having a kitchen available was great. Staff was helpful when I needed to speak to them.
Bathroom/Toilet is not as clean as expected
The rooms are clean for a budget hotel but the walls are paper thin. I can hear everytime someone takes a poop and when he goes to the shower or uses the tap. There is only 1 bathroom at every floor with the sink, toilet and shower in the same room so it cannot be used concurrently. This means we have to wait >30mins for each person to poop, then shower etc. You can only imagine what it is like on...
