The room is a bit small, and the facilities are decent. The bathroom is quite bright, and breakfast is good with fruits available. Overall, it's a good value-for-money option in Almaty.
Convenient location, rich breakfast, and a clean room.
The room was really nice and clean, with heating available. The breakfast was also quite substantial. For the price, and its central location making it convenient to get anywhere, it's definitely worth it.
It's decent, and it has a swimming pool.

Amazing and friendly staff and nice spacious rooms, will totally get back.
The view was amazing, the location was great, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The room was large and clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work and just heated the room on every setting, and some of the furnishings were a bit dated and had scratches. However, for the price, we would definitely come back.
Good location close to the sea side. Friendly staff. I enjoy my stay.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and every time I have been made to feel really welcome the staff are amazing

great location to stay in Aktau and affordable, friendly. it looks modern
The hotel's main advantage is its location. It's practically the only hotel in Aktau with a direct view of the sea and direct access to the cliff path. The inflated price is due precisely to the location.
The room is large and clean, the bed is comfortable. Water is always available. The breakfasts are delicious and varied; one day they even served sturgeon for breakfast.
Upon arrival, we discovered...
Good, very good, not bad! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ? ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
The room is large, the toilet is small, and there is no iron. It is very inconvenient to iron clothes when traveling on business!
Many waiters at the front desk did not speak English, only one did. This is very inconvenient!
In addition, the wifi was very poor and I mentioned it to the front desk three times.

The hotel is in a great location 👍
The rooms are very clean.
The staff are all very friendly.
Best of all, it's spacious and the beautiful Caspian Sea is right in front of you!
If you have the chance, definitely take this tour. Ideally, bring school-age children. They'll find it educational and engaging. They'll be able to feed the fish and learn how many different types of sturgeon there are. They'll also learn about the differences. We didn't regret going. 👍

The hotel has certainly seen better days, but offers a unique Soviet-style architecture that anyone interested in art and history would appreciate. The location is also excellent.
GOOD
- Hotel is clean and in a good location
- Reasonably priced and you can negotiate a rate if you extend
- Lots of space in the lobby and each floor if you don't want to stay in your room
NEEDS IMPROVING
- Shower is very poor with little to no pressure -
- Beds are very hard and make your back sore, hotel has definitely seen better days
- Wifi is a bit poor and you have to register / connect at...
Clean rooms, terrible shower. To get WiFi you have to get your device registered at the front desk. Good breakfast. Great location. Across the park and cathedral
Old Sovjet hotel with lots of history within its walls. It has definitely seen better days but its a cool hotel to stay in, although it seems to be a little empty. Rooms are good, nothing to complain about, and as a bonus you have a little balcony with views over the 28 soldier park.
The breakfast is nothing special, although the room it is located in has beautiful art on the walls and is shaped like...
This was our last stop hotel from the 5 Stans tour with Lupine Travel. This hotel is very spacious, Soviet like atmosphere with dark hardwood furniture. Water stations on every floor which was nice. WiFi is weird, go through the front desk. Don’t worry about taxi to the airport as they will order it for you 10 mins before departure. Walking distance to eating places
The location of the hotel is very good, opposite the park

I’m surprised to find such high end hotel in Kazakhstan. It was a pleasant stay.
This was by far the best hotel experience of my life. The St. Regis is the embodiment of luxury and in Astana it is extremely good value for money in a majestic city that is truly a hidden gem.
The staff are caring, hospitable and cheerful, always going above and beyond for your needs. The breakfast merged variety with the best quality I've ever experienced in a hotel ever. The room... My goodness...
Everything was on satisfactory level. Best hotel in the City, at my own option. Breakfasts are exquisite with a lot of choice
Lovely hotel, I will return to stay in here again.
Really good Room and Hotel. Money well worth and we looking forward to come again.
Usually better.
Left the number with the reservations department. Waited for a call for over 30 minutes.
Finally got through on the 5th try.
There was no welcome note or compliment in the room.
No one offered drinks until I called an hour later.
There were no disposable razors.
The room has some drawbacks.

The hotel was gorgeous and very comfortable. The spa and pool was a bonus! I gave it a four because I had to call the desk 3 or 4 times to request basic items like extra toilet paper and extra towels because no one cleaned the room when I had requested it on day 2 of our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.
I just spent one night at the Rixos Turkistan, and had a great experience. The hotel is modern. The rooms are large and clean. The hotel is connected with a small shopping centre with a supermarket. The spa and fitness centre are great. The pool in particular is huge and very much adapted for people who like swimming, with a smaller pool for children. Great experience. Clean and nice hotel. Great swimming pool and spa. Very friendly staff with usually a good command of English.
Rixos is top notch, the room is clean and cozy, the price through trip is twice cheaper than through other sites. The breakfast is super, I liked everything.
I liked everything! The service was great!
Nice hotel. Employees were all smiles and helpful. Bed was comfortable, shower was great air conditioning worked. There was a big chip on one of the shelves they tried covering up with the minibar menu. That made me laugh. Food in the restaurant was excellent. hotel is good and room.large and comfortable . view on a side is charming with all the mountains . shower good but with tub. breakfast reasonable but sometime when crowded you feel something missing on organization level . location is great ,just close to good area for walking ,finding coffee and restaurants . it is a quite area . some parking available . staff is responsive .
It's a shame you didn't read the reviews before your trip and instead trusted the brand and the stars. The service, hospitality, and professionalism are lacking. The hotel team needs to work on improving its reputation, especially in your city.
Overall nice stay but could work on their wifi which is poor

Very average. The big plate chicken for breakfast was good, though. I think chain hotels are more reliable.
Very good, comfortable, convenient, and quick. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time.
It was -16 degrees Celsius outside, but the room was only 15 degrees and there was no underfloor heating. The room was too cold. They eventually provided a heater, but I still couldn't sleep well at night. I recommend against staying at this hotel during winter.
Perfect! The key thing is that the lady at the front desk speaks Chinese, which made communication so much easier.
The room was very satisfying. The lovely staff member, Haziza, spoke Chinese which was very convenient. The room was also very clean. The surrounding amenities were also very convenient.

It clearly states check-in is after 2 PM, but they forced me to pay for an extra night because I arrived at 12 AM. What's the point? It feels like a scam. And then they demand check-out by 12 PM... The next day, I checked out before 12 PM and requested a refund for that extra day, but they refused to give it.
The room environment is nice, but the facilities are a bit old.
Good breakfast and close to Arbat street.
The hotel was excellent in every aspect. I wanted to extend my stay, but couldn't secure a reservation.
The front desk staff were very friendly and English-speaking. The breakfast spread was quite generous. The hotel seemed to cater predominantly to Chinese guests. My only minor complaint is that it was a bit pricey; otherwise, everything was good.
The hotel was clean, and breakfast was decent. However, when I checked in after 6 PM, the room hadn't been fully cleaned yet, and housekeeping staff were still coming and going, delivering items. Location is quite good, accessible easily to many places (river, beach, restaurants, etc.). Prices are reasonable. Personnel is polite and professional. Rooms are clean. I would recommend the hotel management; 1. To have better internet connection 2. To start breakfast earlier than 7 am Thanks.
Best hotel in Pavlador. The receptionist tried to put me in a smaller room but I was having none of it, and got a nice big corner room. Please note that their double rooms (495sqft) are 50% larger than their deluxe double rooms (336sqft). Go figure.
I spent one night in this hotel. Reasonable prices, great staff, nice bar. I understand there is also spa but haven’t had time to check it out. Although there was a bit of a strange smell coming from the toilet, I compensated it with great view from the 8th floor.
Ertish has a multilingual staff, so English speakers will feel comfortable here. The decoration is elegant, the massage services are great, and the continental breakfast is nice. However, the water in my rooms was cold until I ran it for about 10 minutes. Despite that, I'd still recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel. Good food. Swimming pool and other tried facilities ok. Our problem was that on Friday night on our floor was some kind of party. We had to leave early in the morning. Though the noise that woke us several times was not welcomed.
Generally a nice hotel: the restaurant is good, the staff is helpful and friendly, it's a short walk to get necessities. What drives me a little bonkers is that the doors are hollow core, meaning you hear it perfectly every time the guy across the hall slams his door. The rooms also tend to get pretty cold: there are of course radiators, but even with them on, it feels cold. There's a secondary radiator...

The hotel was great, without a doubt this hotel was opened not so long ago and therefore the facilities are up in their shape. Breakfast was also great, plenty of options to choose from. Generally, I would recommend staying here.

This hotel has a fantastic ambiance with a strong Russian flair. Breakfast every morning was a real treat. The room was very quiet and the heating was excellent. It's super convenient for getting around, and it's easy to walk to many of the attractions. Definitely my top choice for a trip to Almaty.
The hotel is in a good location, room is clean abit smaller than when i stayed in holiday inn express but still able to put 2 luggages in the room.
The breakfast spread is very good. Thumbs up. Plenty of food to keep you full. The dining area is abit small but there is still enough tables to serve at least 30 people. I think others who complaint about this probbaly came during summer or peak season...
Let's start with the positives: the hotel's location is decent, close to Mega, and situated in a quiet residential area. Compared to other hotels in Almaty, the price is relatively cheaper. Now for the negatives: the rooms are very old, giving you a distinct feeling of being transported back to the old Soviet era, 20-30 years ago. Breakfast is very average, not bad, but just enough to fill you up....
Place would have been okay, but first of all, there’s no bidet anywhere in this country. The only shattaf spray I found was in a gasoline station restroom.
We stayed for 3 nights and the place was generally clean. They did clean our room, though not thoroughly, maybe because the place is a bit old, so even with effort, it doesn’t feel much different. The location is great though, just a short walk...
My initial check-in left me a bit disappointed. The standard room was quite small, and the corridors were narrow. The facilities also felt a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom fan was quite loud.

Very weird hotel. Could easily be on in Vegas, but: spacious and clean rooms, amenities, good breakfast and dinner and a stocked bar. Can't complain especially given the price.
Except service, everything is exceptional. I simply requested for coffee sachets, and didn't get it despite multiple calls.

I made sure to enjoy my time there to the fullest. The staff is helpful and professional, the restaurant & in-room dining is on point. This is the second hotel I stayed at in Almaty. It's definitely an old-money style hotel. The hotel is located near the Koktobe cable car, which is convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection is not extensive, but it's still quite nice. The past two days have been sunny in Almaty. It's a great start to the new year!
Very nice, clean, and safe environment. Healthy and delicious food.
The location is pretty good, near lots if restaurants and metro station. Easy to get the cabs. Walking distance to the opera house and city center. The room is big and the bathroom is clean. The only weak point us the air condition which is too old to cool down.
The room is not big, which is the common situation of most hotels in Almaty. But the room facilities are good. It is not as shabby as many hotels, but magnificent. There is a large community in front of the hotel with very good greenery. You can take a walk in the evening.

Aside from being a bit old, the hotel was pretty good and even had a small balcony. The location was great, and breakfast was decent too.
Great hotel. Wonderful breakfast buffet, one of the best hotel gyms I've ever used, and it even had a sauna.
Good location, about 5 minutes walk to subway station and a few bus stands nearby. The only drawback for this hotel is the bed, pillow and blanket are too old and thin.
The room was so dirty. The carpet inside the room was full of stains and the furniture looked so shabby. The sliding door inside the shower was broken. However, the location for this hotel was good. Centrally located and easily accessible for public transports for sightseeing.
Dirtiest hotel I ever stayed during my entire life. The carpet inside the room was full of stains and the room is old fashion with shabby condition. Breakfast was below average and not much choices.
