The location is convenient, close yo subway and Nanjing road, the hotel is old but clean The guy on the front desk is helpful If you looking for a budget option this is a good choice

Location was great, hotel was amazing!

Really enjoyed our stay. The area has a lot of charm and is a short walk to exit 11 on line 2.

Near metro station (people’s square) exit 11, nice room with pretty road, near good coffee shop (between coffee), good bed, good pillows, friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The staff is very kind, helpful and the cleaning lady even returned to us some items we forgot. The room was cozy, clean, very modern and the bed was so comfortable. We didn’t want to wake up because it was extremely soft. I highly recommend staying at this place, is not that far from Nanjing Road and the metro is close too.

Hotel is located on the small street. Around 5 mins walk to people square station (exit 11). Room is small but clean.

This was my second time staying here and I enjoy it. The staff is attentive and they have good english capabilities if you are a foreigner. The area is great, with many shops, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby. I would say it is a 10-15 minute pleasant walk to the nearest metro station. The rooms are spacious, stunning bathrooms, and clean. There is a washer/dryer in the rooms. Highly recommend...

The hotel service was impeccable- the check-in and out were fast and efficient; and they acceded to our request for late check out without questions. The online concierge service via weixin was also very fast and responsive.  One minor comment about the placing of the kitchen utensils - the spoons and forks were in a drawer just above the dustbin and the cups were placed in a drawer way too high up...

Overall the hotel is good.  However, We are disappointed about the gym and swimming pool. I guessed that these facilities are opened to the public where I felt so crowded that I hadn’t tried.

Meh, it’s getting worse slowly over time. They should reduce the prices while there’s construction inside the rooms. This is very disturbing. Also, it’s VERY dusty.

Love the size of the room. Nothing to complain except they should have provided some washing liquids, kitchen towel since there is a small “kitchen” provided. Bathroom is comfortable and roomy! One comment is, the security guards outside hotel are kind of not too polite… or is that how local Shanghainese speak?

We stayed in the Art Deco room, which was nice. The bath looking out over the city is great. The breakfast was very disappointing. There’s no one there to check you in, explain the process/options or show you to a table. The food is very mediocre but the service is quite terrible. The restaurant staff talk very loudly to each other and don’t seem to understand paying guests are eating their breakfast...

The rooms are luxurious, elegant, comfortable, and spacious. Both the rooms and the public areas, as well as the surroundings, are clean and tidy. The hotel's service is very thoughtful; they provide welcome fruits upon check-in, and the housekeeping staff cleans the room twice daily. I primarily chose this hotel for its historical and cultural value. It's a highly recommended hotel.

Such a spacious room in the city center, truly comfortable! The complimentary afternoon tea was also excellent! The Rose Restaurant on the second floor offers exquisite dishes and even includes a free photoshoot. I'll definitely consider staying here again!

Excellent hotel with exceptional service level and equipment. Managing staff are friendly and responsive.

Beautiful place with a hall that looks like a cathedral, and a grand piano there. The staff were very courteous and will cater to our extra requirements. The doorman really goes out of the way to get the cab to the door.
